Pokémon GO Gearing Up For Something Big

Several leaks and announcements are pointing to Niantic gearing up for something huge in Pokémon GO!

Pictures, screenshots, and more have popped up from a confidential notice for Starbucks employees about a new sponsorship deal with the popular coffee shop beginning on December 8th. This sponsorship includes making most, but not all, Starbucks locations a Gym or Pokéstop in game and the introduction of a brand new Pokémon GO inspired Frappuccino! But what’s bigger than the appropriately Raspberry flavored blended drink is that the employee notice says “Pokémon GO is about to expand with new Pokémon” and a “new update.” This, alongside an official partnership with Sprint to make 10,500 locations Gyms or PokéStop adds to the hopefully growing list of sponsorships, and the possible introduction to Generation II Pokémon.

But if Gen II is just around the corner, what about the still omitted legendary Pokémon from Gen I? What do you think, will this holiday season mark us being able to catch Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile and the rest of Generation II in GO? Whatever the case, the update on Dec. 12th will definitely shed some light on the matter.

  1. Festival Plaza may be a step down from PSS, but one thing remains the same: finding a passerby to battle with you is a miserable process…

  2. So apparently “new Pokémon” have been announced for the 12th. Whether this is gen 2 or The Legendary Pokemon of gen 1, I don’t know.

  3. Does anyone play Animal Crossing: Wild World on the Wii U virtual console? The idea of playing an older Animal Crossing, rather than the most recent, always seemed like such an odd idea. Plus to play a handheld release on the Wii U? It’s hard explain my thoughts on how surreal of an experience that sounds like. Like you’d be living in a hidden town everyone forgot existed.

I just got to the Koopa Village. I got set back a tiny bit because I died on the way back to the village and didnt save until before I met the blue koopa

Kooper is by far one of the most powerful members to use because of his ability to damage everybody

i don’t want to brag but i think i know where everything and how to get it
minus some Badges and Star Pieces

speaking of which collect as many Star pieces as possible because at Shooting Star Summit’s base you can trade them to Merlow for badges and the two ones to really aim for is called Peekaboo for 10 which allows you to see the enemies health meter at all times and the best one for a whopping 25 Power Plus which increases Mario’s damage by one

  4. Pardon my many typing mistakes in comments below.
Between my fat thumb, autocorrect and the way I’m sitting, my typing is not very accurate.

  6. Has anyone got a Gen 7 Pokemon that’s really starting to grow on them? Because Araquanid and Alolan Sandslash are becoming one of my favorite Pokemon.

      • I used to watch Fallon all the time, but as things went on I watched less and less due to wanting to go to bed. I guess I’m just getting old lol Anyway I like watching his beginning stuff the most. Find that way more entertaining than the interviews unless the person he has on is SUPER interesting to me lol

        • I’m so against watching television at specific air times that I literally don’t even know what channel anything is anymore. If I can’t watch it online somewhere it just doesn’t get watched.

  8. Mimikyu for the love of Arceus… If you don’t appear as a shiny. I will hunt you down with curse-proof stuff and de-pikachu you in front of a crowd. I’m well over 500 eggs at this point. Sigh.

  9. Amazing how I can do so well in single 6v6 battles and then suck so hard at VGC 3v3.

Also interesting how, once I got below 1500 on the ladder, I started seeing fun, interesting teams.

    • Because those fun, interesting teams don’t win consistently. I think it’s weird how only in deck/team building games to people complain about and shame others for trying to win. The point in the competitive sport is to win. Many people find it fun to try and find the most consistently winning team and figuring out how to play that team well. Others want to win but they want to be handed the win for being “creative” (aka using their favorites)
