  1. I saw a comment earlier about not being able to battle the ace trainer on Route 8. There’s a double battle on the waterway near the Wimpod.

  2. Has anyone been using Z-moves during the game? I haven’t, mainly because the opportunity hasn’t presented itself. But now I have a chance to use my Shiny Magby’s Fire Z-move against Totem Lurantis. Debating if I should end this that quickly…

    • Honestly don’t like that. I don’t mind seeing it being used by kahunas or leaders, but regular trainers? No, they shouldn’t! Makes the game too hard.

      • I never enjoyed feeling like a chosen one in these games. Just your above average trainer who works hard. So I like seeing others with it too.

Also even though I did lose once to the Lurantis totem, I stand by what I’ve said about none of these games being actually hard. A hard Pokémon game is still relatively easy, so I invite the challenge.

    • It made sense few normal trainers used megas, but important trainers definitely should have used more… Each member of the Kalos E4 bar Drasna had a mega evolvable mon (and Altaria even got one in ORAS), what a stupid waste! And maybe a few random late game trainers who were clearly above the norm would have been cool too.

    • Yeah, tbh Gen VI could have dealt with megas in the usual “soft retcon the shit out of everything, it’s not like we can present a coherent world through our limited game medium anyway” rather than complicate things, but GF seem to like writing themselves into awkward corners…
(Hello “fairy types are newly discovered”… I mean that nonsensical bull was excusable when it was gen I and gen II was the first new gen to come out so “newly discovered pokémon” were a big deal, but WHY would you write that shit in when you know you’re retconning fairy type pokémon into past events anyway????)

And somehow the alternate timeline theory makes a lot of sense, because if you look at it the right way, every single main series game (including both in each pair and third versions) can have occured in some universe…

    • Tbf Lugia summoning the birds, Ho-Oh summoning the beasts, Regigigas summoning the Regis or heck even Arceus summoning both trios under it’s control would be sick as in in-game event
