  1. I feel like Gengar shouldn’t lose Levitate. I think levitate should be nerfed to increase evasion from ground type moves by 2.5x or 2x times

    • But clearly GF wanted to nerf Gengar, not Levitate. Nerfing Levitate would have nerfed a lot of Pokémon that don’t even need to be nerfed.

      • STOP TALKING
PLEASE NERF LEVITATE AND FLYING TYPES it causes me so much grief

Levitate should be immune from Earthquake, Magnitude and Bulldoze but the rest should hit them
I mean if that logic stands flying types should be immune to every non-projectile attack

        • Do you need some cheese with that wine?

Sap Sipper shouldn’t be immune to Grass. Motor Drive shouldn’t be immune to Electric. Flash Fire shouldn’t be immune to Fire. Etc etc and so on.

For someone who claims to love Pokémon you seem to hate almost every aspect of it

        • I agree wholeheartedly. I wouldn’t mind if flying types still retained an elemental immunity to ground attacks, but levitate shouldn’t justify sand based attacks or something like precipice blades not hitting you.
IMO they should just dump levitate anyway and make it a natural condition that something floating shouldn’t be hit by earthquake-like moves. Then pokémon that are CONSTANTLY FLOATING like magnemite wouldn’t magically be hurt if the ground is shaking, but would still get wrecked by other ground moves. And all the pokémon with levitate could get other abilities. TBH I’d like it if pokémon battles applied more logic in general.
At this stage though don’t really see the point of removing it from gengar, it’s not exactly a particularly necessary nerf, and anyway it means it gets affected by terrains which gives it other boosts…

  2. I’ve held back on this but, Man I’m annoyed that Europe has to wait till next wednesday.
I mean, why. First of all new 3DS games never release on Wednesday, it’s the middle of the week. Second of all, it can’t be because of retailers, cause Canada, so it’s Proably PEGI for some reason. 1 day would have been fine, even 2, but 5.
All I can say is, at least it’s not months. But what’s the point in a Worldwide release if not getting it all together.
It’s gonna be so hard avoiding story spoilers starting tomorrow, when everyones posting about it.

    • Honestly the only thing that bothers me about this is that they haven’t given an official reasoning behind the decision to delay the game in Europe. Im honestly not bothered about getting it late, but they could have at least given a reason, even If it was legal BS.

  5. I just read this on serebii as the dex entry for Alola Raichu.

It only evolves to this form in the Alola region. According to researchers, its diet is one of the causes of this change.

    Pancakes = Psychic typing confirmed.

  6. Why did they nerf the legendary beasts hidden abilities?

Also Mega Alakazam has been give a 10 point boost to its Special Defence

  7. Why’s gengar even posion? Only Gastly should have Ghost Poison type. I wish I was CEO at GF.

First thing I’d do is make Dragon Neutral effective against Fairy

    Reply
    • To give it another weakness. If it was just ghost it would’ve only had one weakness back in gen 1, other ghost types, which there were only 3.

      Reply
    • The whole point of fairies was to counter dragons though.
Fairy needs a weakness to ghost or ice, and lose the Bug resistance.

  9. Y’know, I’ve always found utility Accelgor to be an underrated Pokémon, but I never used it that much. With the inevitable rise of Toxipex coming up, I might just use it more..

  10. After playing sun and moon, I seriously want Sun 2 Moon 2 next, much more than DP remakes.
But that’s probably never gonna happen 🙁

          • There was already a short scene taking place in the Distortion World in last week’s Generations episode.

          • Yeah, but it just feels much more intense when Cyrus has control of both dialga and palkia. And then Giratina steps in and intervenes. Idk, a post game episode could work, but I’d prefer if it was during the climax

      • This I can get behind. They should have done it with Emerald, but alas we are stuck with ORAS.

It still annoys me so much. Even HGSS got a battle frontier, but they couldn’t do it with ORAS (when Hoenn introduced the whole concept of battle frontier)

        Reply
        • If they just give us the battle tower in D/P remakes I’ll scream. Platinum had more significant changes than Emerald did, imo, so I hope this is what they do :/

          Reply
          • Emerald had a lot of significant changes. Especially story related suff (having to deal with two evil teams, which hasn’t been done since). Remaking Emerald made so much more sense to me than remaking RS.

I don’t think I’ll get over my disappointment with ORAS any time soon. *sigh*

          • I eventually got over them not doing Emerald’s story, but no BF or hard gyms killed it a bit. I have a very strong affinity for Platinum though so if they screw up the remakes I don’t know if I’ll ever get over it. (Also, B2W2 did 1 evil 1 good team as well)

          • I still maintain to this day that Emerald is my favourite Pokemon game, it’s the one I had the most fun playing. Can’t believe they didn’t even incorporate a little of Emerald into ORAS, and instead we get stuck with a rather lacklustre (in my opinion) Delta Episode

          • Emerald had 2 evils teams with their own agenda’s. I get what your saying though and it makes sense that I actually enjoyed BW and B2W2, probably my favourite games straight after Emerald.

          • Yeh ORAS ( and the original RS had the opposing versions team be the good guys), and that added a cool dynamic. B2W2 did that a little bit with Old Team Plasma acting as pseudo good guys.

          • it’s funny that I haven’t been trying to actively avoid spoilers and i still don’t know anything about the plot line. Something tells me I’ll be dissappointed with one of the evil teams though
