Greetings everyone, it is time again for the Mascot Pokémon Showdown! The winner of the last showdown was Rayquaza with a whooping 54%!
With this latest round we’ve finally arrived in Sinnoh. Introducing us to Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, Generation IV released in 2006 in Japan and to the rest of the world in 2007. Whatever your opinions of this generation, these games shook up the series and came with a lot of new features, like the physical-special split, gender differences and the Underground.
Pokémon Diamond Version
On the cover of Pokémon Diamond is Dialga, the Temporal Pokémon. A big, blue, dinosaur-like creature with lots of metal on its body, it perfectly fits its Dragon/Steel typing. Using the diamond in the center of its chest plate, Dialga has complete control over time – it can speed it up, slow it down or stop it altogether. It lives in a completely different dimension, which is why people don’t get to study it.
Dialga is the only known Pokémon that can learn Roar of Time. No Pokémon has the same type combination and it’s the tallest Pokémon introduced in this generation. Its name may derive from ‘diamond‘, ‘dial‘ and ‘dragon‘.
Pokémon Pearl Version
Palkia, the Spatial Pokémon, was featured on Pokémon Pearl’s cover. A lilac theropod-shaped Pokémon with pearls in its shoulder plates, Palkia is said to deform space and it can even create alternate realities. Like Dialga, it lives in a different dimension.
There is no other known Pokémon other than Palkia that knows Spacial Rend. Its name probably comes from ‘pāru’, meaning pearl in Japanese.
Pokémon Platinum Version
Pokémon Platinum featured Giratina, the Renegade Pokémon. With its two forms, the Altered Form and the Origin Form, it is the last member of the creation trio of Sinnoh. Giratina is able to travel through the dimensions created by Dialga and Palkia. It resides in its own world, called the Distortion World.
Giratina‘s signature move is a Ghost-type move called Shadow Force. It has the highest base stat total of all Ghost-type Pokémon and the highest HP stat of all Legendary and Dragon Pokémon. Its name comes from ‘girasol‘ (‘a red opal’), ‘guillotine‘ or ‘girare‘ (Italian for ‘to wander around’) and ‘purachina‘ (プラチナ, Japanese for ‘platinum’).

I owe this to everyone here: I respectfully admit that I was wrong about the pokedex being incomplete. I genuinely thought that there was enough evidence to confirm or suggest that the datamine of the demo was incomplete, and I was adamant about that, so I figure I might as well formally admit defeat.
It’s OK. We both believed in something, and we were met with disappointment. But Sun and Moon will still be enjoyable 🙂

It’s all right, I wanted there to be more too, but less optimistic to look for it.
You guys. The entire idea behind Alola Forms is that when those Pokémon were introduced to the Alolan environments they changed to better suit said environment. Itzo facto, you introduce Kanto Ratatta to Alola and breed then, they’ll produce offspring better suited for the environment. Or would you prefer them to create 10 sub forms where the offspring slowly become more Alolan Form like?
Honestly speaking, and I don’t mean to sound rude! I don’t care about the logic behind it. I’d be perfectly fine with Kanto versions breeding Kanto versions and Alola versions breeding Alola versions. I just want availability xD
They were never going to let people use non-Alolan forms for VGC 2017 anyway.

We could still breed those Pokemon though in the games after transferring. Here, there’s just no legit way to obtain them yet.
But that only matters for being VGC legal and they weren’t going to allow them anyway. Just like trading a Chimchar up and breeding it doesn’t mean you can use it in the VGC this year. So what’s the problem with breeding in ORAS and trading forward until DPP remakes come out? Really just seems like a none issue

Except it basically makes it phenotypic plasticity instead of local adaptation, which makes less biological sense. Frankly it does surprise me that they would choose to be this lazy/weird with it, but hey it’s game freak so it’s just another mild frustration to add to the pile.

Yeah. Remember School Form has like 120-130 base stats in every stat except for hp and speed. The thing’s a monster for a reason.

Dragon Dance is a start but it won’t be perfect

It would gain the HA Sand Stream
And it’s Mega Evolution would have Sand Rush for an ability that would be the perfect combination
It would get an total increase to Sp attack and Defenses and since Sand Rush covers speed it allows it to bolster its lackluster stats
And I say Special attack because it can do so much more with special attacks

So here’s your possible options (I’ma look for some)
1. Taunt
2. Mega/Giga Drain
3. Heal Block
4. Thunder
So I’m gonna look for things that learn those by level 24 (probably not Thunder and you are not likely to have TM for that).
That’s what I would expect
I see Magnemite (too far) morelull, or getting Crits to be my only option
Alolan Meowth/Persian available? Taunt at level 25. A possible thing that can happen is turn 1 taunt wishi, turn 2 taunt the first alolmomola that appears, then Meowth dies and you get free switch to your grass type of choice and you have 3-4 turns to win.
I have one, but the thing is this… it spawns more after they die
Plus it has a sitrus berry so it’s stupidly bulky…
Well you never know it just might work. You don’t attack the Alomomola, just hit the boss straight with all your grass attacks and hopefully it will go down before the first Alo’s taunt wears off (4 turns after Meowth faints). Also having taunted the boss means no Growl, too.
Only problem is that I ONLY have Razor leaf which hits both and kills the Alo quicker
Put in Morelull first. It is slow, but its bulk is reasonable plus it should be restoring with Mega Drain. Even if it only gets one attack it will probably have a dent on Wishiwashi then Dartrix can mop up. Also Leafage still available?

Anyway, with the Z-Move I think this is how the fight with Meowth strategy might go:
Turn 1: Taunt Wishiwashi
Turn 2: Taunt Alomomola (Wishiwashi attacks Meowth, who faints)
Turn 3: Morelull tanks 2 attacks; attacks Wishiwashi with Mega Drain
Turn 4: Morelull faints before the attack
Turn 5: Dartrix Razor Leaf until Dartrix faints
Turn ?: Crabrawler Z-Move after free switch in
You might need to reload until Wishi doesn’t get healed by an Alomomola summon. But this seems like your only hope.

Somewhat: I believe that we should give Trump a chance, but tackle issues such as the Electoral Votes, his policies, LGBT+ rights, abortions, planned parenthood, gun laws, borders, trade, taxes, corporate control, etc. Democracy means having a voice and HAVING your voice heard. Democracy means the right to peacefully protest against laws you deem unfit and inhumane. I believe that we should give Trump a chance, but if he proves himself to be possess no credentials to lead the country then we should act, not before he has not taken office. I do give credence to my fellow countrymen and women in that the whole Election as a whole has been underwhelming, disappointing, and saddening, but we mustn’t abort ship and assume, we must let things carry on, hold our heads high, and act when NECESSARY.

I don’t know how long they’ve been thinking that but they could’ve put it together when they saw the name. Adrenaline chaining. Encounter the Pokémon you want, use an Adrenaline orb to let it call for help, kill the original once it does, repeat. its like how totems call for help but you can force wild pokemon to do it too
is the orb consumable? Or is it like the PokeFlute in gen 1 where you can just use it whenever?

Not sure if it’s been stated already, but for those of you that were intending to Hyper Train a Ditto to make it 6 IV. Don’t do it, it will not help in breeding. Hyper Training only sets flags on the Pokemons stats to make them act like they are 31 IV, but it doesn’t actually modify the stat to BE 31 IV. So say you caught a 2 IV Ditto, and Hyper Trained it to be 6 IV…if you use that Ditto to breed, it will still act like a 2 IV Ditto.
I knew this, but it sucks.
I’m going to have to breed the hard way for a while until bank releases lol.
Hopefully by the time Bank updates, we will get the HA Starters as a reward. Then I can transfer my 6 IV Japanese Ditto and start shiny breeding HA Rowlet! 😀

ok like, he is the guy behind Studio Ghibli, a studio that has created some of the best anime movies of all time. Like all of their movies are super amazing and memorable.
