It looks very cool. You seem to have the shading and highlights done quite well.
As for improvements: Well, I tried not putting my elbow on the table for that pose and it’s extremely tiring… XD
Also right hand is reversed so you should be drawing the fingers. (I tried it and the pose is very plausible.)
Blaaahh drawing hands is the worst. I should just spend a day drawing hands. Just shut myself off from the world and draw hands in the dark.

Even now I don’t like drawing hands. Even when it’s furries, cute creatures, only 4 fingers or blocky fingers… good luck with the hand practice though!
As for the other issue you could just raise the table a bit and it’ll look normal.

If I hazard to guess, the excessive blush can make it look swollen or give the illusion that it is swollen or puffed up.

No prob… I didn’t notice it at first either… but then again anime-style characters are usually drawn with less blush (if any) like in Pharap’s screenshot above.
I don’t like that particular way of colouring cheeks that also makes them look shiny, it makes them look blotchy and unnatural.

Who is really into competitive battling? I’ve grown bored of it and have a lump of 6iv Dittos (Adamant, Jolly, Modest, Impish, bold, brave, sassy{?}, and a 3iv Japanese timid) I want to rid of.
Oh the Dittos were from a friend of mine who has stopped competitive battling after gen 5, so they’re most likely pokegenned

Tbh I don’t even know why people bother with fixed teams, I’ve always constantly swapped pokemon in and out of my team and never had an issue with gym battles.
