The article below contains spoilers for Pokémon Sun & Moon.
We have chosen not to publish any images obtained from the demo version and as such the information below is a text rundown of what has been uncovered. The comment section of this article will also contain spoilers.
The demo version of Pokémon Sun & Moon is currently live in some regions and some avid trainers have gotten to work uncovering everything the demo has to offer.
It seems that lessons haven’t been learned from Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire and the demo files contain information on some currently unannounced Pokémon and over information. It’s unknown if the demo contains files for all new Pokémon in the games, though at this point it seems almost definite.
Leaked Information
Alolan Forms
The demo contains files confirming the existence of many more Alolan Pokémon:
- Geodude, Graveler and Golem
- Diglett and Dugtrio
- Persian
New Pokémon & Ultra Beasts
- There are at least five new Ultra Beasts, bringing the total to 8
- The leaked Starter Pokémon evolutions are real
- Pikipek appears to evolve into a toucan Pokémon in it’s final stage
- Crabrawler, Wimpod, Morelull and Salandit all receive evolutions
- Solgaleo and Lunala both have a pre evolution/lesser form
- A new Pokémon that appears to be based on an anchor
- A new Pokémon and it’s evolution that were previously leaked by an Amazon listing for the upcoming Sun & Moon TCG expansion
- Another two Pokémon evolution line that appears to be part Bug type
- Marshadow is a real Pokémon, but doesn’t look anything like Solgaleo or Lunala
- Magearna has a form that looks more like a traditional Poké Ball
- Ash Pikachu is in the game and appears to be able to wear Ash’s hat from each region of the anime
- [NEW] The Pokémon models found within the demo are only from Pokémon found in the Alola Pokédex
[NEW] Pokémon Moves
- It seems there are a total of 719 moves in the games, by comparison Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire had 621
- 3 of these new moves appear to be taught via TM
- 29 of the new moves are Z-Moves (18 Z-Moves for each type and 11 special Z-Moves)
- HMs no longer exist and are not available as a regular TM
[NEW] Items
- There are 920 items present in the demo, 58 of which are related to Z-Moves
- A new medicinal item similar to Lava Cookie that cures all
- A new battle item with held effect (like Dire Hit)
- At least 6 new holdable items with effects
- A Key Item that is likely used to change Zygarde forms
- 3 items that are used to change forms
- Bikes and Travel Trunks (an unused key item) are not in the demo/games
- The Strange Souvenir item data appears unchanged in the games
- 1 new type of Poké Ball
- It appears the new ball cannot be bought or sold

I was always under the impression that (apart from in Hoenn) the father left home and the mother was single.
I would like a single father as the parent for a change though, or to actually have both present.
I always got the same vibe, too. It’s an odd tradition with Hoenn being the outlier of course.
Mew is totally under that truck btw. If you catch 100 pokemon you get strength and then you teach it to Greninja and you can find Mew. It’s true seriously

I liked it when I first drew it but afterwards got unsure. I also considered making it Poison/Fairy. It’s supposed to be purple with stripes of dark green or black.
I think it’s tragic that almost all fairies are pink and pretty, we need more mean fairies.
I like its theme. It’s like an imp or a pixie.

Second Picture. Looks like it could be Evil Grass/Fairy instead of Ghost imo.
It helps when shading to not just scribble with your pencil. What I was taught is to use your finger to smudge what you want to shade, because it makes the color more uniform.

I’m mad in the catching challenge you have to release all your new finds I had Pikipek, Yungoos, and Rockruff and I lost them all angry!!!!
That was half the point of it being a challenge and them not just giving you pokeballs from the start.

My issue is what they consider a fairy type. For example, if fairy was pink, why isn’t chansey fairy? If fairy was alien, why are solrock and lunatone fairy? If fairy was cute, why isn’t sentret fairy? If fairy was beautiful, why isn’t Milotic fairy?

You get what I mean here? The loose inconsistent definition of a fairy type bugs me, hopefully it’ll be better defined in the future.
I mean if I take a step back I understand where you’re coming from but at the same time thats no reason to hate them. I don’t really understand hating a pokemon type or a pokemon. Even pokemon I’m not fond of I still love because they are pokemon, I just don’t get it.

Fairy types only make up 5% of the pokedex, they are the 2nd rarest type after ice, oh and most of dem are pokemon that were prior types. So it makes sense why the creators would feel need to create more fairies
In gen 1 we only had one dragon like but in gen 2 we didn’t get 10000000x fairies. The fairy type is corny I’m sorry, it’s ok if you like cute things but it’s just corny and while it did make dragons less strong it just created another problem
It didn’t make problems for the dragon type, it created an equilibrium in the pokemon world, which enabled every types to have fair advantages and disadvantages with each other, btw i don’t like fairy types because they are cute and feminine, but cause they are interesting types that consist the array of diversed pokemon

Psychic isn’t really a visible type since the mind is internal. Also psychic types have more variance than faries. Pretty much all faries are pink or cutesy.

Something about UB08 (7?) I thought was cool: It has a galaxy thing in its mouth. This leads me to believe maybe it faces off with the cover legendary, because, as protectors of their respective celestial bodies, they’d feel threatened by something that eats galaxies.

What’s to hate about it…? It looks really nice.
1) Not Pikipek in anyway

Your problem mainly seems to be directed toward actual toucans.
And I am a little bummed it doesn’t resemble pikipek at all, but it looks very clean and cool.
Also I don’t think the eyes are always going to look like that. It’s an action pose, like with the starters.
1) we’ve had a dove/pidgeon turn into a pheasant before so this is no different.
2) why don’t you google a toucan sometime.

Technically the collar is the only thing that makes Rockruff a Pokemon.

There will be people who don’t like something you do, don’t let things like this ruin something for you.
You should cool off a bit. Not everyone is going to like every type. People are going to have different opinions than you and it’s best to learn to just accept that. Fairy is also still the new guy on the block so opinions on it are going to range.

I don’t hate fairy types, but I think Pokémon like Gardevoir, Xarneas, and Togekiss embody what a fairy type should be. They should have some mystic power attached to them. But, sadly *most* fairies fall under two defining characteristics: cute or pink. I don’t think that should be enough to define a class. I think the Tapus are a step in the right direction. My only real criticism for fairies is they lack certain direction. Sorry if you felt we were personally attacking you. That wasn’t any of our intentions, I assure you. 🙂

You cant evolve the mons you cause cause you get no exp after you finish the main part of the demo
What does adamant skill link have to do with evolution?
It’s hard to keep them alive, so my only hope of getting EXP is via OHKO which is made more possible with adamant and skill link since it knows Fury Attack.

At least I’ll have Salandit2 to take care of fairies. I’ll have 2 on my team (popplio3 and ninetales) but they’re decent ones, not small mushrooms and all of that
I’m saving Ninetales for a third version or sequels or something. Considering Lycanrock or maybe Goodra as that’s in the dex. Although I want to use only Alola pokemon. Maybe Tsareena if its moveset is different enough from Lurantis

It’s not going to happen, I tried earlier today and shared my results
I can come to terms with Litten turning into Tony the Tiger’s lucha libre cousin but only if it gets fire/dark typing. If it turns into another fire/fighting, It’ll be the first starter ever that I truly have no interest in using.
Luckily the other 2 look pretty darn good in their final stages.
Man it sucks that we hardly got any ice or dark type Pokemon, heck not dat many electric, steel or psychic type either dx

From hoping like hell that emboar was fake when the unova starters were leaked and hoping we had more XY Pokemon and more oras megas I hate to say it but I agree- this gen has many amazing things which we don’t have to hope for and we should be happy about those! But people are still allowed to moan if it makes them feel better
