  1. I for one am REALLY glad they decided to change Jangmo-o’s evo names. The Japanese names seemed cumbersome to pronounce. Hakamo-o and Kommo-o are a bit more palatable.

      • seems kinda lazy. I don’t mind the effort to give Tsarena a unique ability, but if its the same, why bother programming it into the game when you coulda just given it dazzling? maybe other qeenly pokemon will get it (Vespiquen, Jellicent, etc)

  2. Gosh I love everything. First of all, Tsareena sweet boutta be an actual good Pokemon.

But I LOVE Muks concept. And the design. Love it.

And Olivia is…. Well designed lets just say that. And I wonder if that means that the guardian of that island is Rock type

    • Hala appears to be a Fighting specialist (uses Crabrawler, a pure Fighting Pokémon) so I feel he’s a Fighting specialist whereas Tapu Koko is Electric.

I subscribe to the theory that the Oricorio of the island match the Guardian (Tapu Koko and Pom-Pom are on the same island, are yellow and are Electric-Type).

    • No. The Islands are Psychic (Pink), Fire (Red), Electric (Yellow) and Ghost (Purple). Imo the Tapu will be either Fairy/Psychic-Fire-Electric-Ghost or for the Alchemy teory and for 20th anniversary Fairy/Fire-Grass-Water-Electric.

  3. All these Pokemon look great! A bit dissapointed Komo-o’s signature lowers its defence. Was really hoping it was a defensive fighting type.

  5. I’m quite sure that the chimera is one of those pokemon that you can only have after you finish the game (or something like that). It’s too op to be easily obtainable. Anyone else getting that vibe?

  7. I hope the thing that has legs for daaaaaayz has good stats, because so far the grass type ones are all sunshine and rainbow, but competitively they don’t seem very useful.

  8. Real talk though: How likely is it that the demos will either a) not have code that spoils the entire game or b) be too hard to crack into?

I doubt b) will be true, but maybe a)? You think GF would learn from their mistakes.

  9. So I was wrong about Bounsweet, I thought it’d be a lame one-stage pokemon. On the bright side, I think I’m in love with Alola form Muk xDDD

  10. PokéJungle you forgot to mention that the lovely Olivia also uses Lycanroc (Midnight). Just wanted to point that out. Also, I have a crush on Olivia, if that wasn’t clear… She is Bae lol (its at around 0:22 in the Japanese video)

  11. I see alot of people planning their Sun & Moon teams and there’s so much things I love that I can barely figure out what I want @.@
I know for sure I want the almighty force of nature known as WISHIWASHIIIIIIIII!!

(fun fact: I love shouting ”WISHIWASHI” out loud in real life ;v; )

      • YOU ALSO LOVE SCREAMING WISHIWASHI?!?!
just kidding. I’m getting both Sun & Moon
with Moon being my main game game, but however hard I try I just can’t choose!
I love the starters (I used to hate Popplio but then I made it an headcanon and now I love it @.@ )

      • it doesn’t matter to the game at all.

But out of curiosity I want to know. But it seems like Ilima is most likely a guy that is gay and I’m very happy to hear that.

          • Androgynous just means someone who looks like they can be either of the binary genders, its nothing to do with chromosomes and stuff.

          • Eh, I default to the sex definition thanks to my days learning psychology. Androgynous was always used to refer to the cases where there were genetics involved. In particular I remember studying some of Klinefelter’s case studies.

          • you’re thinking of Intersex, that has to do with chromosomes, where a person is kind of halfway between the sexes, or at the very least somewhere in the middle, usually resulting in an Androgynous look yes, if you do not take hormones, and sometimes having ambiguous genitalia

        • just because someone has feminine features does not automatically make them “most likely gay”. theres nothing wrong with being gay, but lets not jump to conclusions. I’m a male with feminine features that happens to adore feminine things (hell my favorite color is pink) but i can assure you i am most definitely straight.

          • Everyone thinks this friend of mine is gay because he’s so nice to everyone and has feminine traits while they think I’m straight. To know if someone is gay just look at how they look at other guys and voilà

          • my best pal is quite the handsome guy, he takes good care of his hair, dresses nice, etc. we cant go anywhere, and i mean ANYWHERE without someone assuming we are a couple.

          • It’s been that way for me too except they think I’m straight, because I’ve always had girl best friends so most people assume we are a couple

          • People assuming I’m gay would be one of my worst nightmares.

That said, of the gays I’ve met, most follow the stereotypes of being camp, hipster or having dyed hair. That’s just my personal experience though.

          • You probably don’t even know some people you see often are gay, it’s just that the campy ones stick like a sore thumb.

          • I don’t really know that many people.
All the ones I stay in touch with I know because they’ve told me one way or the other, and most of the ones I used to know either had girlfriends or made it clear at some point.

I’ve met campy/effeminate people who aren’t gay too.

          • 20s.

I can’t vouch for the 200-odd people I knew in secondary school, but I can vouch for pretty much everyone I met in college, which are the ones that matter.

          • its different demographics everywhere, for example I went to one of the largest universities in my country and had a ratio of 3 girls to every 1 guy, and I kid you not, over half of the guys were gay (and maybe a 3rd of the girls) it actually was a well known joke on campus about that. Even in my dorm, there were only 2 guys on my floor that were not gay

          • You need to get out more dude. If people thinking you’re gay is your “worst nightmare” , you clearly are not mature or well developed enough to be content with your own sexuality. Which is just sad regardless of sexual identity. What’s so bad about being gay that the thought of people thinking you might be, puts fear in you? Really confused??

You never hear a gay man saying “my worst nightmare is people thinking I’m straight.”

          • It’s my worst nightmare because it would mean loads of girls who might potentially like me would be passing me over/ignoring me because they’d be assuming I’m gay. Especially if I never found out they thought I were gay.

I’m fine with my own sexuality, I know what I am without question, but other people’s perceptions change things.

I could sympathise with them them for being fed up with people thinking they are straight and worrying about other gay men passing them by because people thought they were straight.

          • Actually I HAVE heard lots of gay guys/girls say that.
And just because they say it’s there worst nightmare to be thought of as Gay does NOT mean that he is not content with his own sexuality. I would be offended as well if someone thought that I was gay. That does NOT make me insecure, or closed minded. And I’m sick of people trying to make straight people who have honest opinions feel bad about it. I have nothing against gay people, I have gay friends in fact, but I would NEVER want to be seen as gay myself.

          • Thank you, I’m glad someone understands it.

As I’ve said elsewhere, I’ve had plenty of gay friends and my only reason for worrying about being seen as gay is missed potential relationships.

          • For sure man. Nothing wrong with being gay, in fact, I think its absolutely AWESOME if we have a gay character in Pokemon. Seriously, wouldn’t that be so cool?

I was just hoping it would be Ilima, having nothing to do with his feminine qualities 🙂

          • Tbh, I would feel indifferent.
Getting more black/tan/whatever characters didn’t make much of a difference, getting gay characters wouldn’t either. They’d just be like another character to me, judged on their own merits as a character.

          • But it’s always nice to see other skin colours, body types and sexualities being represented in kids games and movies and such. Because the world does not only exist of white skinny straight people you know

          • Again, doesn’t really bother me either way as long as it makes sense in context and the character is good in their own merit. They could make a region where the majority of the natives were black/tan/whatever and I wouldn’t bat an eyelid.

          • It actually does make a difference. Especially for the people who aren’t Caucasian or straight. It’s really cool seeing more minority’s in the Pokemon universe because it brings everything more to life. The whole world feels more diverse. And its nice for people like me to see myself reflected in characters in a game I’ve been playing my entire life

          • I dunno what else you want me to say.
Do it, don’t do it, as long as the characters are good in their own right it really doesn’t make a difference to me.

When it comes down to it, the only human character I truly care about is the one I’m controlling, the rest can enhance the story if they’re well designed, but even if they don’t, I care more about the region than the people in it.

  12. Alolan Muk, the redeemer. I love it’s design, looks properly Dark type. All the 3D models do make things look better too. I adore Ribombee and Bounsweets evos (female only?). I like Grass Silvally most at the moment, from that brief look at it. The new moves look pretty cool, Trop Kick XD I do think Tsareena (Serena CONFIRMED) could have just had Dazzling, unless the Japanese name is significantly wrong for it, it’s the same ability. Olivia looks really strong and pretty.
