The Official Pokémon site has just updated with information for Pokémon Sun & Moon. The update contains details on the new Ultra Beasts announced in CoroCoro earlier this week.
New Information
- Official artwork of UB-02 Beauty and UB-02 Absorption released
- Screenshots of the two new Ultra Beasts in action
- UB-02 Absorption will appear in Pokémon Sun, the Ultra Beast’s entire body is covered in muscle and punch using the full power of it’s muscle strength is said to be immeasurable. UB-02 Absortpion also uses it’s “harder than diamond” probiscus to attack
- UB-02 Beauty will appear in Pokémon Moon. The Ultra Beast is said to attract Pokémon regardless of gender, though it is unclear how it does this. UB-02 Beauty is capable of extreme speeds and can move fast enough to avoid lightning strikes
More Pokémon Sun & Moon news will be released on September 20th at the same time as today: 9am EDT, 6am PDT, 10pm JST, 3pm CEST and 2pm BST.

Now you’re just making me miss the good old days of Pokemon Global Link. By the way I caught a lot of Pokemon through Global Link in both versions, dispite the short time I did not realize having. Made facing gym leaders a little easier.
Ok, these are just some ideas and in no way serious theory stuff but here’s the thing:
-First of all it’s strange that UB-Beauty is version exclusive if UB-character match up thing is real deal since Lusamine seems to be an important character in both versions. This means either there’s no such thing, or these character match up doesn’t have an importance in the story or there’s another thing going on.
-I personally think UB02 forms represent the concept of the versions, or specifically box legendaries in a subtle way. We have an aggressive looking, powerful, masculine, juggernautish UB on the one hand and elegant looking, mystical, feminine, sleekish UB on the other hand.
-I thought that maybe Lusamine based her appearance on UB02. There was an ingame text that says how beautiful Lusamine looks or something like that and UB02 form is named beauty. Maybe she’s fascinated with it and tried to look like it. It’s just another perspective.
Comment question: If you could use Bond Phenomenon with any Pokemon, what would it be? And if you hate Bond Phenomenon, you don’t have to answer.
Banette, for sure. It’s my favorite Pokemon, for starters, but I’d be curious as to how it would look. Also, does the trainer’s appearance change too? I don’t know much about Bonding. :p
Nah, the trainer doesn’t change, but the Pokemon had minor aesthetic changes to resemble the trainer, and can also have something on its back or body for a move (for example Ash Greninja has a Large Shuriken on it back)

They once sent Junichi Masuda, Shigeru Ohmori and Shigeki Morimoto, three of the most important developers (Masuda has been director for all games from Crystal to XY, and producer for ORAS and SM, Ohmori is director for SM and was for ORAS as well, and Morimoto was director for the games before Crystal iirc) and all we found out was there’ll be more than ten new Pokemon.

B/W weren’t the best games, but they had GREAT mechanics. I live how in that one Kyurem city you can change the instrument the music is played with.
I think they’re the pinnacle of how to do a pokemon game, just as HG/SS are how to do remakes.
I actually love B/W, they were pretty good games, but they were my first Main MAIN series games so after I played a few more, I thought. Eh. B/W could’ve been better. It’s better than X/Y tho.

Black and White and Black and White 2 are some of, if not the greatest games in the pantheon of Pokemon games. The story, gameplay, genius mechanics, and how it pulls everything together into a nice bundle of joys is just unprecedented! The pinnacle of Pokemon for the main games!
As much as I love Unova, I think they’ve wrapped it up really nicely. The only thing I ever really wanted to see was maybe the original dragon and also how the Shadow Triad had powers..
Loved that Castelia City theme, and that Driftveil too. For some reason I hated Unova early back but now I think it’s one of the best regions we’ve got.

A lot of the Unova Pokemon designs are flat out attrocious. A lot of the most non-Pokemon-looking-Pokemon come from that generation.

What are you talking about? Stunfisk is the most quality designed pokemon ever created on god’s green earth. Every inch of the creature is dripping with creative levels only measurable to Leonardo f*cking deVenci only he died and became an immortal super being who rips the roofs off of houses and teaches families how to paint. Stunfisk represents everything humanity has achieved. World changing technology, fighting plagues, building massive cities, leaving our own planet, it is the sum of what is possible pushed into the loving eyes of a pokemon. Stunfisk is Gamefreak’s gift to the entire planet. And it is about damn time that we appreciate it.

I kinda find Stunfisk a rather tough Pokemon to deal with in battle, especially since it has the Static ability. If my opponent sends out a Pokemon that has an ability that could affect mine on contact, I would usually fight with the utmost of care.

Hey, you plank! I thought the designs for the Pokemon looked cool. I was only discouraged form getting the Gen 5 games at first because the original Unova Dex had no Pokemon from other regions and there were no cross-gen evolutions. But as time passed by, I began to realize that I can get all the Pokemon that I want through the Internet. Whenever I think about a new Pokemon generation, I would only care about new mechanics in catching Pokemon, who I would fight to enter the Pokemon League, and battling other players.

It really seems to. In the last trailer before today’s it showed the trainer fishing. so that would imply that you wouldn’t need to teach surf in order to get around on water. Presumably it would be the same way for other stuff too.
I’ll still have a flying type because of Minior but removing HM’s is the best thing to happen to pokemon in a while.
I dunno if the HM mechanics are going to be replaced for this generation.

Best moments for me in Black and White:
– The piano theme that accompanied the moment where Bianca’s Dad comes to get her and Elesa intervenes and Bianca begins to cry
– Route 8, near Tubeline Bridge when you defeat Bianca for the final time and she realizes Pokemon battling is not her thing and although she tries to hide her tears, you can tell how depressed she was
– Route 10 and Victory Road when you defeat Cheren and after having worked so hard for so long, realizes he’s just not that strong and wonders what went wrong
– N’s Castle rises out of the ashes of the League and Alder pleas to N as Team Plasma corner the very bedrock of the region
– Zekrom/Reshiram cutscene and N’s resolve after you defeat him
– Ghetsis showing his true colors and throws N under the bus and battles you which was a surprise for me back then
– Alder’s talk about the death of his Pokemon and how it affected him so much to the point where he doubts his Champion title and mocks himself for being so weak
– Ghetsis’ and Team Plasma’s first appearance in Accumula Town and his speech that followed and the crowd’s reaction which starts a chain reaction in the region
– Last but not least… EVERYTHING
Oh my god, I would have loved Pokemon Black & White even better if they had Hilda interacting with Ash and even flirting with him for a bit in the anime. She even could’ve had a girly, yet tomboyish and cheerful personality. She could have been voiced by Anna Hachimine in the original Japanese version. It would have also been exiting if has had like at least ten Pokemon in rotation and each of them had nicknames, such as an Oshawott (her starter pokemon) nicknamed Tricky. I don’t mean to sound wierd, but I always found Hilda the most attractive of all the girls in the Pokemon franchises. In the anime, she would have also been know for swimsuit modeling.

I may be projecting a bit, but I’ve always has a head canon that Hilda was a lesbian and had a thing for Bianca. I feel like Bianca got so much development from the player that there was kind of a relationship there. More than likely though, they are just friends. Which is probably better character wise. idk

It would make no sense for them TO be catchable because THEY ARENT POKEMON. They have the strength of a typical legendary Pokemon, but they’re different creatures entirely. You could never befriend and train a creature like the UBs

I think beasts from another dimensions already makes the series convoluted, so slow your roll. Plus, they would become pokemon if we are able to catch them. Pokemon get their name from being monsters that go in your pocket.
1. The addition of UBs is actually a needed story element that Pokemon has begun to lack. Never before have Pokemon and humans had a common enemy. The villain is always either a powerful person or a powerful Pokemon. Now the threat is something that’s neither human not Pokemon and now we all have to band together to save ourselves. Not convulted at all. Intriguing actually.
2. Yeah I know that’s where the name comes from. WHICH IS WHY UBs are called UBs and NOT CALLED POKEMON. BECAUSE THEYRE NOT POKET MONSTERS. And throwing a poke all at one , would transform into a Pokemon. The same way poke balls don’t work on humans, it would work on an ULTRA BEAST. Cause they’re not pokemon. And not meant to be owned, captured, loved, liked, or played with. Their An enemy.

So I was rewatching the E3 footage, and something caught my eye. Your mother says “Travelling is a true education.” What? Education? As in school education? Like the anime? Is it possible that the island trials are a school related thing? I’d hate that, but that seems like an awfully suspicious remake considering what we know. What do you think?
That would actually explain the school scenes in the live action trailers for Sun and Moon.

So on the topic of games with beautiful music…Oblivion and Skyrim, every Zelda game ever, the Halo series, and Super Mario Galaxy are some of the most beautifully scored games and are my top favorites other than pokemon 🙂 Anyone have any other game scores they love to listen to?
Recently, Fire Emblem.
Fates had a good soundtrack, Mario Galaxy, and animal crossing. I can’t stress enough how great that OST is.

The first 2 are recent indies, the last 2 are SNES games.
Do check out SMRPG sometime if you want, it’s currently on Wii U VC and I hope it comes out on N3DS sometime.
Mario Galaxy works amazing because the music is suppose to fit with mario’s running like they watched gameplay of the game then made music to fit with the gameplay they were watching

No Man’s Sky sucks, but the soundtrack is AMAZING. Oh and Witcher 3. Whenever a specific battle song comes on, I’ll intentionally prolong the fight just to jam out to it.

Lemme shill Starbound a bit. Starbound is kinda a space game in soundtrack, though in practice it’s Terraria with interplanetary travel.

I like 1 personally. I think 1-5 are all solid, but they dropped the ball after that. I really like 8’s real estate level though, that was awesome.

I recommend his cover of Asgore, Spider Dance, Megalovania, Vega’s Theme (street fighter 2) Megaman 3 opening…. he even did a cover of the pokemon season 1 title song!
