An anonymous poster on 2ch claims to have seen the October issue of CoroCoro, a Japanese comic magazine, and says that the latest issue shows Alolan Ekans and Arbok. They’ve given a few details about it and here are the translations:
- Alolan Ekans & Arbok are Fighting-type
- Their abilities are Fighter Skin, which makes Normal-type moves Fighting and increases their power by 30% (ala Pixilate, etc), and Shed Skin
- Alolan Arbok is light brown and bigger in size than its normal counterpart, but lacks any pattern on its body
- It is a Pokémon Sun exclusive and the CoroCoro issue also reveals that Alolan Sandslash is a Moon exclusive
UPDATE:
Adding in other rumors from 2ch, newest rumors will be added to the bottom. The Alolan Electabuzz & Magmar rumor was preceded by a typo so I think I consider this much shakier than the above Arbok rumor. It would also leave questions regarding their evolutions as well.
- Alolan Electabuzz revealed, new form looks similar to the pudgy Shinto god Ebisu
- Brought electricity to Alola and is seen as a guardian-type figure
- Electric/Fairy-type
- Has the abilities Friend Guard/Healer
- Alolan Magmar
- It walks on all fours and is covered in vines; covered itself in vegetation as a way to survive in the jungles of Alola
- Fire/Grass-type
- New ability that reduces the effectiveness of its opponents attack when it switches to a teammate in battle (teammate will take less damage when it switches in)
Furthermore, one of the posters has promised to post pictures of the issue tomorrow at 7PM Japan Standard Time. Hopefully they’re telling the truth 😉

Another thing: a to do list or a schedule would really help the game. It would have all the quests you’re trying to do at that moment, so you don’t just have to remember them all.
I’m surprised nothing has been elaborated on the firemen Blastoise. It’s such a cool concept that has been completely pushed to the side.
Oh yeah, that was a thing that we saw in the very first reveal trailer, in concept sketches. There were a bunch of those emergency response vehicles, but we haven’t seen much of them since.

Off topic. I’m going to quit trying to find Pokemon GO info on YouTube. All the videos seem to be people spoofing the GPS, which doesn’t bother me if they really are in a rural area without much of anything. What does bug me is when they type in a code to have 10 Articunos pop up.

That’s highly unlikely to me. They need time to promote and advertise this thing. I mean, Microsoft announced a new console at e3 that doesn’t release for over a year now, and Nintendo has a new console in a half a year and we know absolutely nothing. If they wait that long they aren’t planning things right.

Except that Sun and Moon have been in development since 2015. It was called Project: Pokemon Rainbow before they decided on the official titles.

Last Guardian a ps4 exclusive game has been in development since 2007 for the ps3, we are now 9 years into development and it just announced the game is now golden and ready for release

Yes and no. It depends on the game in question. Yes most games are in development until about 1-2 months before its release, in which their then sent out to make Physical copies. However Localization’s, which is what we’re talking about, don’t. They generally start as soon as the game is finished, or when the game’s nearly finished, as it was in this case. Remember back at E3 they openly said that they were playing what was effectively a finished game at the time, but had to stop due to most of the game not being translated yet.
The game’s been finished for awhile, and its likely that its just a matter of them making the physical games now.
im not saying the game isnt completed but the development is not over. you still got bugs and stuff to fix.
Bugs are never fully fixed at release, hence the patch for XY to fix the Lumiose City bug.

No idea what kind of encryptions and back up systems are available and it’s effectively taking control of your pokemon out of your hands.
If their servers break or they withdraw the service, it could be pokemon gone for good.
Plus the hardware failure rate for servers is high because they’re running 24/7, and usually on a specific variation Linux.

And I’m saying your using the word development wrong. The game has openly been said that its a finished product well at the tail end of its localizing and being moved into production. At this point any bugs that remain will be fixed in a day one patch or shortly after.

I think it’s not an Alolan Exeggcutor itself, it’s just an ordinary palm tree. Exeggcutor has tinier and more leaves than what is depicted here and not mentioning the lack of legs or any base body part. However it still can be an easter egg for the upcoming Hawaiian region, or maybe the idea.
But it has Exeggutor heads.
From what I see it has coconuts. I count two.

Wind Waker was just right amount tho.
I’m not criticising Wind Waker, I’m just pointing out water isn’t a bad thing. Peacefully exploring the ocean was one of my favourite things about that game, that’s as close to open world as Zelda had gotten until recently (maybe on par with Ocarina).
Wind Waker is still probably my favourite Zelda game (or at least on par with Majora’s Mask, Ocarina Of Time and maybe Twilight Princess. Breath Of The Wild looks good though, might have to save up for a Wii U).

i was making a joke. Wind Waker is my second favorite zelda (Next to Skyward Sword yes shoot me). But Understand the main focus of wind waker was the sailing to island ORAS was pokemon adventure but the water segments i think ign found was tedious even tho it wasnt bad at all
The encounter rate on water even seemed lower than usual (although I may be imagining that).
“Skyward Sword” :C The world was smaller than Koholint.
ORAS/RS were fine. You only have to surf travel 4 times and they’re all short bursts. Lilycove -> Mossdeep, Mossdeep -> Cavern, Cavern -> Sootopolis, Sootopolis -> Evergrande. (I think).
In Wind Waker there literally IS too much water. After a while it started to bug me and I just let my bf do it.
Wind Waker’s setting was an ocean, so there’s never too much water. And besides, WW also happens to be the one of the best games in the Zelda franchise <3

Gen 8 will be landlocked with no lakes, no rivers, and even no water starter.

Honestly, does any score from IGN mean anything anymore?
Not since Black and White. They gave X/Y a 9/10… -_- while other reviewers gave it an 8/10 at best. Some were even as low as 6’s and 7’s.
X/Y 9/10? I mean, it looked great and all and most of the Pokemon designs were very good. But the game was too easy and too short. Imo 6/10 at best
But admittedly, the XY anime is the best in the entire series imo.
Rule of thumb: bland story in-game equates to epic story telling in the anime. Unless your DPP because you managed to do both the games and anime justice.
Agreed, gen 4 games+anime were both top notch.
Those are my favorite especially Platinum.
For me it was a 10/10 I loved it. <3 😀 For me the lowest should be for Diamond/Pearl and Platinum. Those games infuriated, and kind of bored me to no end. I'd say they were a 4/10 for me. (Who knows maybe I might like them better, when they do a remake. But I'm not going to hold my breath. I will hold my breath for a Yellow version remake though. THAT is a game I would LOVE to see be remade, with the Sun/Moon game graphics. 😀 )

I would give it 8/10 at best, I would have given it a 9 due to hype but looking back on it now, it had some problems, but I still enjoy it
Pros:
– Transition from 2D to 3D
– Graphics, attention to detail, no longer grid-locked, and great animation for Pokemon in-battle
– Fresh while managing to give players a dose of what made the originals iconic
– Amped up the meta scene via Mega-evolution, stat changes to older Pokemon, Fairy-type Pokemon, and move pool changes to older Pokemon
– World building
– Potential for the story was massive much like Sun/Moon
– Hype was extreme
Cons:
– Story was bland
– Region felt muted and too village-like which was contrasted by Hoenn with its bright colors and vibrancy
– Conventional and boring characters
– Team Flare was a massive let down
– Repetitive
– Only two active sub plots: Team Flare and Mega Evolution Arc
-I wasn’t happy about the 3D transition originally. Now I’m half and half.
-Didn’t like mega evos.
-Fairy type was the best bit.
-The story wasn’t bland per se, just not handled properly. It was pushed aside until right near the end.
-Team flare looked good but in the end were just another Team Rocket
-I don’t even consider mega evolution to be an arc. It was just “magic stones, here you go, have fun”.
DP and BW should be way higher on that list.
Despite Best Wishes was absolutely horrendous, Black and White (and the sequels) were absolute quality.
I agree. Gen 5 is underrated.
Gen 5 is the pinnacle of story telling in Pokemon while managing to keep it, “Rated E for everyone.” It gave us some of the most iconic characters since the originals: N, Ghetsis, etc…
