The next batch of Pokémon Sun & Moon news has been confirmed for September 14th! As usual we’re expecting another brand new trailer that will most likely lineup with whatever new info we get in this month’s CoroCoro (which could leak as early as the 9th).
At this point it’s all up in in the air on what we could get: Starter evolutions? More Ultra Beasts? The secret behind Rockruff’s evolution? Gary Oak’s Alolan form? Another evil organization?
Either way, the news drop will happen on September 14th at 10PM JST – which is 6AM PST, 9AM EST, 2pm BST, and 11pm AEST! So stay tuned because we’ll be sure to be here to cover it the moment it drops!
UPD: In addition to this, TV Tokyo has confirmed that a big announcement will air alongside next week’s anime episode. It’s unknown what the announcement will bring but we’ll update as and when it happens!

Not sure who it was, but someone told me the giant tree on the northern western island is just a very big tree with no purpose. Here’s a picture that basically debunks that. If it has no purpose, how come there’s signs all over the place, and even this special path leading to its entrance?

I never said the tree wasn’t special. I said it wouldn’t make sense for Ho-oh to be summoned by a tree when there’s a perfectly good golden tower around.
Should check out Lockstin’s channel. He was the one who came with this theory. But its a 2-part video and they are both 45 minutes each so I can’t exactly pinpoint in which video he mentioned it, but it has something to do with Ho-Oh being a Phoenix and they are also alchemy-related and so would this tree.

It sure is. I watched both vids yesterday when I had nothing to do and basically everything he said made a lot of sense. Some might call it overthinking though, but its clear that Game Freak has taken a certain direction with recent games (XY and ORAS especially)

It was me. I didn’t say there was nothing special about it, I said a big tree is impressive enough on its own.
It could be a shrine, it could be a place where people go to dance, it could be where a trial takes place. There are 101 things more believeable than ‘it summons ho-oh’.

We’ve seen very Little of any trial other than Mallows’ trial.
Mallows and Kiawe both have the same statue like structures in the front of their trails areas i think those are gonna be the way to know your about to enter trial heres the pic

So it’s probably not a trial, but it’s at least a tourist attraction.

Because to me it looks like Lana’s trial takes place on the bottom right island in amongst the islets. I could be wrong though.
Bulbapedia has Mallow’s island listed as the top right but I’m sure that’s where Kiawe’s trial takes place.
Lana trail takes place by a waterfall. the second island has that werid water formations and one at the very bottom has water coming out very waterfall like to the little lake with a dock. Lana has been seen on this dock in the new japan trailer

So here’s my prediction for next week. In CoroCoro we get Rockruffs evo, the starter evos and the Cutiefly evo. There might be info in addition to that, but idk my brain is not in a good place to think. anyway then on the 14th we’ll get a full explanation of the connection between the 4 Pokemon with a hint or something towards the starters final evos. lol

XY&Z season ends in October (the first episode in that month already hinted that two members of Satoshi’s current team might leave the group), and Sun&Moon season begins early or midway November inline with the game release.
