  1. Olympia because se has the coolest gym, she looks amazing, elegant and majestic, wise and mysterious which are traits that I like in Pokemon and characters.
My second choice would be Valerie

  2. honestly the game I go back and replay the most is HGSS, but followed right behind that is XY, so I really don’t see how it doesn’t have any replay value, imo it has the most replay value, a lot of the longer games honestly I don’t feel like replaying because they are such an investment and you can’t just pick them up and go through them at a merry pace, and thats fine if you play it for the first time, but it doesn’t make me want to go back and play it again, xy is long enough but not so long that it makes you lose interest. Who has time to play games that long more than once you become and adult. I don’t.

    • X&Y has replay value, all pokemon games do, but I’m not really “excited” to replay it, compared to Gen 4 and 5 games. And you can make time. Pokemon games are pretty casual.

      Reply
      • I make time for brand new games, I rarely make time to replay pokemon games with the exception of the two mentioned, and occasionally ORAS for breeding and such

        Reply
        • I’m just saying you mention not having time, yet you replay HG/SS, which is a pretty long game, especially because you basically HAVE to grind.

          Reply
          • yeah because I love them beyond all else, none of the other long games warrant that, they are the only long one that I make time for, as I have said

    • HGSS is just so rich in content and life. The colors are vibrant and the region as a whole is filled with charm. Johto is filled with pokemon you don’t think of using in other games so you can have many different teams each playthrough. Battle Frontier, Pokeathelon, just so much to do. It is an example of what a pokemon game should be.

          • Haha me too. I’m going back to replay them after I beat platinum. Haven’t decided how to play them though. If I do a Nuzlocke, it’s more difficult and emotional, but there would be lots of grinding involved, so idk.

          • That would take months. The grinding in HG/SS is the worst of basically any game. It makes me take off a whole point of the score.

          • Especially with school starting up, yeah. I haven’t decided but if I decide to do a regular playthrough I’m going to consult you guys for certain Pokemon. I know I want to use Mismagius and Slownkng though.

          • You’ll have to trade a dusk stone to get Mismagius before the E4, but I did it with Honchkrow so I’d recommend it.

          • Don’t be afraid to use an action replay to increase XP during grinding. If these games have one flaw its leveling up. AR’s are perfectly fine as long as you are reasonable with your levels and dont just go level 100 for the first gym. Maybe do like, No higher than the next gym’s strongest pokemon

          • If you’re gonna do that just battle all available trainers before the gym and then raise them to the same level as the leaders highest pokemon.

          • I don’t have one, and I’m scared too. My friend told me that his game got corrupted using one. Idk if that’s possible, but that’s what he told me.

          • Just stick with preloaded codes in that case. Be careful about ones you use online. I had my platinum save ruined by trying to breed mew and got duplicating bad eggs. I have never had an issue with the ones that are preloaded into the device though.

          • That’s because people don’t realise how they work.
They overwrite areas of memory based on the code formulation, and some codes erase more then they’re supposed to.

I only ever used one once on my fire red after my friend convinced me it was a good idea. It stopped me being able to trade with RSE because it cleared the flag saying I had the ability to. Never used one again.

    • XY had a lot of Pokemon for replay value, I’ll give it that, but it was so easy that there was no reward in replaying it for me. Also HGSS are the perfect example of what a Pokemon game should be. Those games were phenomenal, and loaded to the brim with great content.

    • White 2 is a game I could continuous return to, due to it being my favourite. I’m not the largest HG/SS fan, in fact Johto is my least favourite region. HG/SS did have the length added from exploring the entire Kanto Region in addition to Johto. X/Y has a bunch of replay value due tot he amount of Pokemon. The games are easy, so I felt like I’d make a bunch of progress rather quickly.

    • I played through Emerald more than 20 times. My longest Hours of playtime were over 500hrs. All spent on that dratted Battle Frontier. Never even got the Gold medals 🙁 But loved every moment of it.

I have to admit I played a lot of Competitive at the end of XY, but I lost interest in it very quickly.

ORAS I completed once….and haven’t touched it since.

    • I honestly can’t “go back” to a Pokemon game once the generation is over. It always feels so empty and then I miss all the newer Pokemon and updates. It just feels like I’m playing a really outdated game which is why I loveee remakes.
Starting to really look forward to returning to Sinnoh. Fairies, 3D graphics and visuals, revamps to the stories. Ugh it’s all going to be so magical

  3. One the topic of Pokemon Games, what is your top five most favourite Pokemon Games?
For me, 1. Pokemon White 2, 2. Pokemon Platinum, 3. Pokemon Omega Ruby, 4. Pokemon Y, and 5. Pokemon Fire Red.

  4. So in my lows of boredom I pursue my creativity of I want to see in SM
And unsurprisingly I want to see a new Ground/Grass type in the form of a Terracotta Pot with a plant growing inside
Like a Wiggly plant creature who fashioned a protective shell from dirt and clay, or just merely hides under a pant pot and pretends to be one to avoid being attacked

And for its evolution a much different route, a literal Terracotta plant Warrior
Think of a suit of armor made out of plant pots and connected by plant vines

  5. Similar to what Libra said below but not what’s your favourite game. I want to know your favourite storyline in game 🙂

For me it has to be BW and continuing into BW2. I loved that. It was the first game to really try make you think ” wow am I wrong to make Pokémon battle” I really enjoyed the different style !

  6. If nobody heard about this, Kingdom Hearts 3 was listed for the NX by EB Games. They quickly removed the information once they figured out it was up. I think this might be a possibility of KH3 releasing on the NX as well. Square Enix has heavily talked about supporting the system.

    • I seriously think the reveal date of the console will be announced soon. Like, tomorrow. Nintendo has been on a news hiatus this week, and that break ends late tonight. They can’t hold back much longer.

      Reply
        • I read multiple people on Neogaf saying that Nintendo was on some break from August 8-15. I can’t find any sources for it though, but I suppose it doesn’t matter. Also, Tuesday is a day they use for announcements for some reason.

          Reply
          • They always announce their E3 plans about a month early. It’s always about a month of forewarning before major events like this. I don’t believe this will be treated like a normal Nintendo Direct with a day or two of speculation. Sony did, in fact, announce their reveal date for September 7, and that same rumor said that this was in response to the NX’s “week of September 12” reveal date. Since Sony gave so much advance notice, and they are aware of the plans, why wouldn’t Nintendo also give advance notice?

      • I mean they already gave us a ball park year and season/quarter that it was coming out in, why would they give us an exact date when they haven’t even showcased the console yet?

        Reply
    • not gunna lie, I think the hype of BOTW got a lot and I mean a lot of people hyped about the NX, and it looks like a lot of developers see a lot of promise and are starting to jump on board, I mean there is already a dragon quest game slated to come out for it and now this

  7. Marshadow’s theory No.2

I am still in Zodiac theory ….As u see in the pic below every constellation in Zodiac is ruled by some kind of planet. http://image.shutterstock.com/display_pic_with_logo/548632/319562576/stock-vector-set-of-astrologic-infographics-solar-system-planets-with-constellations-horoscope-and-zodiac-319562576.jpg

The mos importnat for us is sun, moon and mars cuz yeah I still believing that Marshadow represent mars …..Solgaleo is represent leo (sun) and Lunala ????….yes after doing more research I can guarantee Lunala represent cancer here is the prove ….this page from Arabic astrological text Book of Wonders.
    https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/d9/Book_of_Wonders_folio_7b.jpg/396px-Book_of_Wonders_folio_7b.jpg

So Marshadow is one of 2 ….Scorpio and Aries ….Solgaleo is surface ,Lunala is sky to complete this we need (depth) …..yeah it’s Scorpio …Marshadow is Scorpio.

    ……could be continue.

  8. I just hate how they all only have 3 Pokemon. By the 8th gym leader, there’s no reason this shouldn’t be a six on six battle

    Reply
      • Your comment actually has a lot of validity. As time went on in this franchise, things got more convoluted. But in gen 1, they pulled out all the stops: starters, challenging battles, evil rivals, evil teams, memorable characters, just a few rare legendaries, rare pokemon, an epic climax

        Reply
          • I feel like that’s a good medium. It wasn’t XY easy, wasn’t Platinum hard. Also yeah, if you don’t like it you have settings.

          • I feel like an easy beginning with the mechanics explained to the character, then one small challenge to keep them engaged, then slowly upping the difficulty is a better approach

          • Because a younger person will still choose the hard version, then quit the game. (But I would love me a hard version to test my skills, being the Pokemon expert I am and a lot of people here are)

          • Well the leveling up/lucky egg is really appreciated, imo. Helps with the grinding they can never perfect. Some of the gyms were challenging, like Elesa and Lenora. But yeah, not too hard.

          • I honestly liked the hard leveling up better. When B/W first came out, I was only 8 so I thought it was cool how fast they leveled up (heck I evolved my Tepig before I even challenged the first gym), but now I’m 13 and I respect the difficulty of leveling up Pokémon.

          • oh my gosh you’re a pokebaby! good on you for traversing BW at such a young age, I know a lot of younger kids had a tough time with it

          • I don’t appreciate being called a baby :/
Yeah. Soul Silver was my first main series game (when I was 6). I enjoyed the difficulty a lot 🙂
I loved my Ledian. It was my all time favorite Pokemon. And it still is one of my favorites…. Actually. Ya Know What? It is my favorite.

          • sorry I just mean that compared to most of the people on this site (as it seems) you’re like the youngest one here, but I get sometimes kids don’t like being called that, it makes them feel like they’re being talked down to I suppose, that all changes once you reach adult hood lol, its all downhill from there 😛

          • Eh. I don’t really care that much. I think we have our top 3 youngests right here

            3) The Last Kurusu/ Diglett Bros. 15
            2) Poekoko 13 (We’re buds in real life as well)
            1) Me. I’m younger than Poekoko by a few months.

          • I mean, thats really tall for a 13 year old, I’m around that height, dont know 100% because I haven’t measured my height in like 4 years. I didn’t stop growing until I was like 21 (i think I stopped at least, maybe others are shrinking) I’m 22 now.

          • Lol poke baby.. I was 10 when it came out and boy did I have trouble with Ghetsis. BUT I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO BEAT HIM!! And that’s why I hope new Pokemon players get that same experience in these generations…

          • Wow, you’re pretty young. Maybe the leveling in B/W is easy, but if you’re playing on challenge mode in the sequels, you’ll need to do some grinding.

          • You still unlocked the keys though I believe. I’d recommend challenge mode if you get the chance. It can be really hard. My battle with Elesa and no ground type was a doozy. I only had petilil, minccino, and a bunch of fillers

          • Yes my brother quit Pokemon after BW because it was hard that was semi easy yet he’s making a come back cause I have him on board for Sun version and plays Diamond and Platinum

          • BW didn’t have enough surprises. It didn’t have you salivating at the mouth for the next surprise. Though good on paper, it was linear and unengaging

          • see this is what I often say, kids these days will not play the games if they are too hard, there are some kids out there who probably found XY hard, whats easy for older people is a lot more challenging for children which the games are mostly directed at, so yes a difficulty setting would be fine, but making them harder in general would not fly in the market

          • I think he’s getting much better cause he thinks more so do I actually and we can over come obstacles excluding taking both of us 2 hours to get through Cornet a few weeks ago!

      • IMO, it should be:
        1st and 2nd gym – 2 Pokemon
        3rd, 4th, and 5th gym – 3 Pokemon
        6th – 4 Pokemon
        7th – 5 Pokemon
        8th – 6 Pokemon

        Reply
        • I disagree, I think it should be:
          3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6
          Or maybe
          3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6

Depends how far apart the gyms are though
