Although the official new trailers are expected tomorrow, someone it seems has gotten their hands on an early version of the video and leaked some of its contents.
- Pyukumuku is the English name for Namakobushi and is a pure Water-type with the ability Innards Out
- Alolan Raichu is now Electric/Psychic with the ability Surge Surfer which doubles its speed on Electric Terrain
- Morelull is a new Grass/Fairy-type Pokémon with the abilities Illuminate & Effect Spore
- Team Skull keeps its name from the Japanese versions and is led by Guzma, with Plumeria being a Team Admin.
- Alolan Meowth is a Dark-type with the abilities Pick-up & Technician
- Wishiwashi is the English name for Yowashi and its new ability is Schooling which activates when something reaches a certain level (HP? Stats?)
- Alolan Marowak is now Fire/Ghost-type and has the abilities Lightning Rod & Cursed Body

If all you’ve got is a name and some types, you can still imagine all sorts of things.
For example, take one of the chinese leak’s reveals: Alolan Rattata/Raticate. You know the name and type, but trying to imagine what it looks like is still fun.
I like a bit of it, it gives speculation and hype, but a whole dex would be too much, especially three months away from the game.
Don’t remind me, I think they told us all too early. Next time they should only tell people a few months in advance, otherwise it takes forever to arrive.

I actually prefer every single Alolan form we’ve seen so far to the originals… It’s so cool to think for people in Alola these are the ‘regular forms’. Ash is going to be in for a lot of surprises.

I prefer regular Raichu, but will end up liking the other one more likely, because it has so much potential. I’ve really gotta hand it to GF, they’re really doing well with making things viable this gen.

The only one I don’t prefer is Raichu, but I still really like it.
I like the ears and eyes, I don’t like it surfing on its tail, I’d rather they’d given it an actual surfboard. Raichu knowing how to make its own surfboard would be much cooler than using its tail.

Judging from the Pictures team skull is formed from rejects who couldn’t complete the island challenge and become captains. So are they just trying to stop other island goers cause they’re salty? Or will they be trying to take over the world through some way? Either way I’m glad they actually look like a gang and the didnt try to pull a Lysandre with the leader.

It’s the team’s logo. The girl has a pink one.
It seems like each admin (in this case, so far, Plumeria and Guzma) has one, with a different color. Guzma’s is purple, Plumeria’s is pink. This lines up with the theory that each island has a color representing it: Yellow, Pink, Red, Purple.
Both are tattoos of the Team Skull symbol.

So I’m actually kind of surprised they decided to mess with Raichu. Sure they are still able to leave pikachu alone, but touching that family is an interesting move. I will say it may help Raichu get some much deserved love as Pikachu basically stole any it could get. lol

Speaking of Joe Merrick. I saw something interesting he said before, but forgot. Apparently Bewear’s pre evo and the sandcastles are stated as CoroCoro exclusives in the magazine while the others were not. Maybe that’s why no trailer yet for them. I assume it may be like with Rockruff and Komala where it might be a little before we get an official announcement video for them…….which is a shame…..
At least it gives us something to wait for, I feel wayyy to spoiled right now.
We have freaking 35 (?) Pokemon revealed for Sun and Moon already….and I don’t think that even counts the Alolan forms lol

If there are 103 new pokemon like the leak said then we’re almost half way through the dex and we still have 2 months. I hope they start expanding things they already introduced though.

One thing I love about Team Skull so far is that they don’t seem to have too many admins. Team Flare had Lysandre, the four girls, xerosic, and the bald guys they called admins. Two is a good amount IMO.
I’m fine with admins if they’re well designed.
That’s why I liked Cipher in Colusseum/XD.
Mirror B is still one of my favourite characters and Lovrina, Ein and Venus were all really well designed.
Well the bald guys were nothing more than more powerful grunts, they had no individuality, they just gave them the admin title for some reason, I guess cause the others were scientists. But yeah five major underlings was quite a lot, and they don’t seem to have stuck with people (though Xerosic got some nice post-game development). I’d have pretty much forgotten the scientists had strong personalities if it weren’t for the the manga.
Oh and there was Malva of course! Yeah, that’s getting to be quite a lot!

Thats what I was thinking, maybe team skull wanted to have trails of their own at one point but they were too harsh and the kahunas shut them down so now they are out for revenge and are trying to ruin everyone else’s trails
More likely that they’re all dropouts who weren’t good enough to be trial captains, so they set out to prove that they were better by forming their own group.
I’m willing to bet that their grunts are all people who were not good enough for the trails and are bitter towards them, but the two main leaders, nah, they have to be better than that or their team wouldn’t follow them
They might have improved since they were told they weren’t good enough. To become better than the trial captains after being told they weren’t good enough would be the best revenge.
