Not only the Poké Riding, but at least with the leaked Starter Evolutions we can clearly see one of the Trial Captains in the art, and the final evolution of Litten is probably holding two of its middle evolutions.

So I’m confused… It may be obvious, but can someone explain the difference between Hala and the new electric trial master? I thought there were only 4? An it doesn’t make sense to have two electric specialist
I don’t think you fight the trial maser, whereas you do fight hala
The trial master sets the trial I think – Ie find these items/race this course etc
Then the Kahuna is the one you have to battle to conquer the island
So it might go trial master -> gives challenge -> you do it -> face the trial boss Pokemon -> Face the Kahuna

With less 8 gyms in the game, I hope it doesn’t become too short and easy to finish. That would be a huge letdown.

but there are 8 trainers? 4 trial masters and 4 kahunas (unconfirmed whether you fight them all or not)
Well you will have the trial boss Pokemon things as well, so thats another thing to throw in the mix. And they’ll get harder each island I’m assuming, especially cause it can be like a horde battle but with one overpowered

I have a feeling that now without “gyms” the challenges we face will be more spread out.
I actually think that the story in the Alola Region might be the longest one yet. Due to the more open world feel that the Alola region gives. Being able to see points of interest in the background of the game is something I love about these islands.
But I do certainly see these being a longer addition to the current story seems how it seems to use a lot of aspects from past games including spin offs like Ranger and Mystery Dungeon. Such as the adding to riding and “Leader Pokemon” calling others for help.
I dunno why, but from the way the site describes the trial captains, I think there’s more than the 4 we saw. It said each trial will be overseen by a captain, and to me it seems like there will be multiple trials on each island. So….there might be more of them?
I think there is only one per Island, hence why there is four of them. I doubt there is many! We know the trails will consist of things other than battling though!
I know, but the language seems to suggest what I am saying. It feels like there are multiple trails. heck, one of the pages mentions the kahuna says that when you defeat them, it’s a sign you completed ALL the trials. Meaning, more than one trial.

Call me crazy, but like…what if there isn’t an evil organization in this game? Interesting that we’ve gone this long without hearing a thing. I mean, they’re changing up the gym format, why not change that up too? A lot of big changes, and I’m personally really excited about that. This is shaping up to be the most unique Pokémon game in years.

Not having an Evil team is actually quite possible. Hawaii is normally seen as a holiday destination, I guess they translated this idea into Alola as moving away from the norms and having a more enjoyable laid back game and not having an evil organization goes in hand with that concept.

Well with the four islands, we’ve got so far 4 Trial Captains, 4 Kahunas & 4 Guardian Deities, and we haven’t even got anything plot related yet!
Im expecting big things then in terms of the plot especially seeing as how this gen seems to really focus on the connection between human and Pokemon.
The new Leak mentioned that Lillie had a Zygarde Cell (Or core, I can’t remember) in her bag and since she is a mysterious character, I wonder how Zygarde will play into the main plot as well as a legendary
The traditional gym rumor is false they just revealed how they will work there is a person then the kauna person and totem Pokemon so ya just burst that bubble but everything else 100 percent sure real
