Not only the Poké Riding, but at least with the leaked Starter Evolutions we can clearly see one of the Trial Captains in the art, and the final evolution of Litten is probably holding two of its middle evolutions.

- The diamond stones will be collectible throughout the region and act similarly to Mega Stones but not exactly
- New Pokémon based on a dolphin, sea cucumber, snowman, mushroom and a rugby monkey are there

Honestly it doesn’t make any sense that lurantis isn’t a bug type. It’s based on an orchid mantis which mimics the look of flowers to cloak itself…so it should basically be like sudowoodo, where it isn’t the type that it’s trying to be. Fail. Also, I’d expect a few variations of that pokemon.

Think of if this way: Instead of the bug mimicking the plant, the plant is mimicking the bug. Therefore, Formantis and Lurantis are Grass-types mimicking Bug-types.

I think so. Game Freak isn’t all too literal with their Pokémon designs. They’re been known to put little twists on things.
We’ve honestly gotten so many bugs already, that I don’t even care. Plus I know all never use anything so shrilly on my team so I can let this typing fail slide.
Now that my initial shock of all this is over. Im really dissapointed in the final starter evolutions. I know some of you love them but I’m really like my pokes to be aesthetically pleasing before anything and these three don’t cut it for me. However I’m warming up to the idea of still using littens Evo but only if it’s not a fighting type. Dark I would love but if it’s fighting as its design I plus I’m gonna cry. Mermaid pop olio isn’t bad either tbh, but it’s just an extremely jarring transformation. I’ll use it in Sun when I play as a female character.
But now I’m more so concerned with why ice/steal sandshrew is still called SANDshrew
Yet again, I’m not sure that HMs will be returning, which I’m ecstatic about. It’s about time majority of them were removed! The image shows a special Pokeball and device that allows you to use the rideable Pokemon. I’m assuming it acts as a PC and you call upon them at any time!

I bet Hala is only the first leader (possibly 2nd “gym” in case his fight comes after the first trial) which is why he only has 3 Pokemon… I’d hope the other leaders and trial guys have more than that.

No because from what I’ve seen, there seems ti be even more battles! We have the totem Pokemon of each island, the island captains if each island, and then the kahuna of each island. And that’s just the first part! Plus, Alola is known for its love of battles and fhe unique ways of incorporating them into their culture.
I don’t think there will eb less battle. I think they are just adding extra stuff to do. It’ll be way more interesting rather than just barreling through a gym one battle after the next. Hopefully more fun too! lol

It’s funny I actually as a kid used to dream of a Ninetales that would go from ice type to fire type with overheat and reverse with another ice type move… Doesn’t make much sense but it’s amazing how that dream has come true! ( in a way…).
Honestly I used to think of an ice type Ninetails when I was a kid too (I saw it’s shiny form and was like, what if..)

I think you need to open your mind friend. The gyms are still there. they’re just not quite the same. A gym challenge is where you go around challenging different skilled trainers at their respective home base. this is basically that, but now we get to do extra stuff instead of just battling.

I’ve been a fan of the games since the originals came out all those many years ago when I was just a kid.
Today was the first time I have been truly shocked by what Pokemon have done, and I absolutely love it. This is a fantastic breath of fresh air and something I thought would never ever happen.
New Pokemon. Old Pokemon. New typing New designs. It just doesn’t get better.

I’m so happy it’ll be different. The games have been good up until now, but the whole system has gotten stale. If they go back to them after this then fine, but this is definitely a breath of fresh air lol
