With the latest Pokémon Sun & Moon information, we can now say that the rumors seem to be true. Not only the Poké Riding, but at least with the leaked Starter Evolutions we can clearly see one of the Trial Captains in the art, and the final evolution of Litten is probably holding two of its middle evolutions.

4chan Rumor

For now these are going to be de-confirmed since a number of Pokémon listed appear not to be getting an Alolan form

  • The anime’s Ash-Greninja will appear in the game
  • Alolan Rattata & Raticate are Dark-type
  • Alolan Butterfree is Bug/Psychic
  • Alolan Abra, Kadabra & Alakazam are Fighting-type
  • Alolan Nidoking & Nidoqueen are Poison/Fighting-type
  • Alolan Growlithe & Arcanine are Water-type
  • Alolan Doduo & Dodrio are Fighting/Flying-type
  • The previous versions of Pokémon which have taken on new forms will only be accessible by bringing in from older games
  • Furfrou gets new styles
  • New cat Pokémon varies in type and appearance based on breeding
  • There is a new snowman Pokémon line with two stages and it is Ice/Ghost
  • Not to get hopes up, but there may be two final evolutions for each starter

Chinese Rumor

  • There will be no traditional Gyms and no Pokémon League in Alola. Your goal is to actually create one. After you do, an Elite 4 will appear which are the leaders of each island
  • The final starter evolutions will be an Archer, a Wrestler and a Siren
  • The diamond stones will be collectible throughout the region and act similarly to Mega Stones but not exactly
  • New Pokémon based on a dolphin, sea cucumber, snowman, mushroom and a rugby monkey are there
  • Rockruff’s evolution is a Werewolf
  • Mashadow, another copyrighted Pokémon name, has a very unique type combo

  4. I would actually love to see Farfetched get a Alolan variant! It is so often overlooked and a variant with another typing could really give it the boost it needs

    • Farfetch is not overloooked imo. He’s like a star in his own right along with Dunsparce. I think of it like this; he’s like a B-list star tryna become A-list like Demi Lovato. Has some hits, but mostly misses.

        • Me too. But we failed her Confident era as fans. Cool for the Summer and Confident should have smashed the charts, but they only did moderately. Her management team needs to be fired. I want HWGA with some Unbroken Demi back! Although Body Say is a bop.

          • My ex loves selena, they have the same bday, but nowadays I think she’s a bit off. Cant totally dislike her though, as my he always had good taste

          • Selena is doing much better than Demi sales wise as her management and marketing team know what they’re doing; all of her singles off Revival have 100+ million streams, produced 3 top 10 songs, all are certified Gold – 2x Platinum, and her album is certified Gold. Additionally, she’s on a sold-out tour.

            Demi’s album is certified Gold, Confident peaked at #21 and is now certified Platinum, Cool for the Summer peaked at #11 and is now certified Platinum, and Stone Cold did not chart at all and is almost certified Gold. She has 2 songs with 100+ million streams, and is on a semi-soldout tour. The interest is there, the backup is not. Her management team needs to do better promotions and marketing.

  5. I am looking forward to facing Hala. Hala is my spirit animal. Lol. He finally has made me accept that after all these Island Trials you go to the Grand Trial. Perhaps the Grand Trial will sorta be a regular Gym puzzle then you face Hala and the other Kakunas (image present, refresh if can’t see).

  7. I will always hate the Litten final evo I hope that the leak saying there may be a different evo is true and it is actually good instead of trash. Either way while I am ok with most of this stuff I will say that it doesn’t feel like a real Pokemon game. I hope when they do gen 8 if they do gen 8 that it is a return to the norm.

    • the company are already beginning work on Gen 8, even as we speak.

      The company always produce a 3 year long plan to create the next gen, even when the newest gen is about to be launched

      • That isn’t confirmed and isn’t something we know or can count on. Nothing is set in stone. The only reason I am worried about the future of the series is because Nintendo’s future is uncertain. And Pokemon only does main games on handhelds and there is still nothing saying the NX is officially a handheld and the only statement we have from them is saying it is a home console so yah… No way they make another on 3DS especially since it will be old and outdated by then. And even if the NX isn’t a handheld Nintendo and everybody else will have moved on so yah.

        • well have you seen how Pokemon Go is doing? Even if Nintendo dies out, they can still survive on mobile devices on the go.

          As for what I have said about Gen 8, how can you say they are not at work, if they haven’t put in the tiki statue item as a easter egg in X and Y, or why the creators went to France for not just for inspiration for the first Pokemon Black and White movie. Or why a few next gen pokemon in the anime, like Gen 2 in Gen 1, Gen 3 in Gen 2, and Gen 4 in Gen 3 have made themselves known to us.

          • I don’t think a main Pokemon game could really do well on mobile… but who knows… maybe something could work out. I probably wouldn’t play it though.

            All I meant was it isn’t confirmed that they are and therefore we can’t say with certainty that they are indeed working on gen 8 yet even if it is very likely they have at least started thinking about it. Nothing is set in stone.

          • well for a business making company, you have to know and understand of how it works. They don’t create Pokemon just by snapping your fingers, these things take time. A LONG time.

          • well it’s just like downloading at the moment. Right now, like our understanding, Gen 6 in the main office might be 5-10% done.

          • Hmm? I am not sure I understand what you mean. Also do you mean gen 8 not 6. 6 way X/Y/OR/AS and Sun/Moon is gen 7.

            what I meant is like our knowing/ Game Freak’s work on Gen 8, is so far 5-10% done.

            Just think of this process like updating your computer. It takes a longtime, and that may include the remake of Black and White.

  9. I am a bit confused as to how dance ability works. Can you switch into a dance, and then get to immediately use that move in that same turn? Basically you can move twice if stats and timing are right?

  18. because this is Pokemon’s 20th Anniversary, it is also Diamond and Pearl’s 10th Anniversary, meaning that Game Freak could be doing a remake of Diamond and Pearl, seeing that they’re going to throw hints of Sinnoh into Alola like Cynthia and Rotom. But I’m just hoping that they’re going to release it onto the Nintendo NX, rather than on the 3DS considering that you can play DS Pokemon games like Diamond and Pearl on it.Let’s just hope and prey that they don’t do another Twilight Princess HD, because although it is for the Wii U, you can actually get and play the Wii version on it.

  19. As much as I dislike Litten’s and Popplio’s final evolutions, I love Rowlet’s.

    And the idea of forming the league was jarring at first, but now I’m hoping this is the case. Especially if we return to Kalos and collect the badges there.

    Sun and Moon are the most innovative games in the series yet. I hope Gen VIII follows in it’s footsteps.

  21. About the Pokemon League, Kahunas and Trial Masters are different right? If so I can see them being the “leaders” or Alola since their should be 4 Trials and 4 Kahunas.

    But I’m loving all this new stuff! The Totem Pokemon seem really cool and look like Boss battles with the calling of allies. I hope more Pokemon get Alola forms. This is so exciting!!
