JungleTalk: Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

The day you’ve all been waiting for is finally here! (Aside from those of us who have to wait just a little longer.) The first stage of the release for Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire starts today, fans in the US, Japan and Australia can finally get their hands on the game after years of wishful hoping, and months of anticipation. Trainers in Europe can expect to get their mitts on the games when they release on November 28.

For those of you who have already picked up the game, we hope you are enjoying it! In this article we invite all of our readers, whether old or new to join in and discuss the games. What starter Pokémon will you/have you chosen? What are you most looking forward to in the games? How are you celebrating the release (outside of playing the games, obviously!)

Get talking in the comments! For those who don’t yet have the games, this is a free-for-all discussion. The comments will contain spoilers

  1. Can anyone please tell me – when can you trade? Some people are saying as soon as you get the dex, others are saying you need to get to petalburg and get the playnav first. Which is it? Because I was planning to transfer eggs over as my team…

  2. So, is it bad that i skipped all the gym trainers in Wallace’s gym last night? I just really did not want to mess up on those ice puzzles

    • The ice puzzle will become solid once you done it and reached the stairs. So you only need to fail at the last one and fight everyone at the basement.

Well it’s ok, you can get experience and money elsewhere anyway.

  7. Just reached Fortree City after a dark and stormy night outside the Weather Institute.

Time played: just over 22 hours (includes some idle time and listening to music)
    46 Swellow “Swoop”
    46 Toggle
    44 Steven’s Metang
    38 Latias
    44 Linoone
    39 Linoone

No thanks to Latias I had to bench the third Linoone. All the pickups were benefitting me a lot.

  9. Question for someone who has beaten the game. Can you give me a general idea of what level Steven’s pokemon are, without giving the actual levels, so i know how long to train?
