IMO almost anything works in normal gameplay. There are rare exceptions, but for the most past you can use anything you want to go through the storyline.

Yeah…. it really does seem like they are planning some sort of DLC patch that adds more stuff to the game or there is another game coming. There is also an awful lot hinting at the closeness of Hoenn and Kalos which makes me wonder if the reason for this is that a 3rd game will be released which does a HGSS and includes 2 regions. Would be a new twist on the sequel formula introduced with BW2.
The sequel of XY has us go back to Hoenn to witness Kyogre vs Groudon. We have to go find Rayquaza who mega evolves and stops them. Scott witnesses this and invites us to the Battle Frontier

I hate how people keep saying the BF is pointless now since everyone just battles online…. what i loved about BF was that you were working towards something! Collecting all 7 symbols first in Silver then Gold and each facility required you to battle differently:
Factory- Using random pokemon.
Arena- Judged Battles
Dome- The tournament style.
Pike- Luck based progression with a bit of mystery and clues.
Palace- Your pokemon literally do all the work.
Tower- Full on competitive.
Pyramid- Puzzling and ridiculously hard to beat.
The BF was NOTHING like online battles and the game is worse for not having it at present (i still have hope that it will be added later).
I kno a lot people love the BF, but I’ve never been a fan…….It’s always just seemed so tedious and annoying to me….I couldn’t care one way or the other if it ends up being in the game or not
I respect you opinion but i hate how the choice is not there anymore. The great thing about post game is that it is optional but lately (looking at you XY) the post game has been very basic and where it is larger there is almost no replayability (delta episode).
I never cared for it personally. I actually hated it, and it board me to death so I never used it, and found all of those battle frontier like things useless, and a waist of my time. SO I couldn’t care less if there in the game.
you know i really didnt like 3rd gen to begin with so when i heard they were remaking i was like no. But i did always want to do the battle frontier and was looking forward to new megas. But if this post game is similar to xy then its a shame and i guess i will never like hoenn, but thats just me.
Yay, charms are back for Pokedex completion.
Apparently you also get Johto, Sinnoh and Unova starters after beating the Elite 4 multiple times.
If they had hidden abilities that would be awesome…but I doubt it.

If any of you get mad because GF haven’t added in any more megas, put it this way, they’ve introduced 18 new megas (20 if you count Lati@s) and 2 Primals.
Just because some of the fan favourites didn’t get a mega doesn’t mean that they won’t in the future.
And concerning the Battle Frontier, yes it’s not in the games, no need to get butthurt over it. They can implement it in the future I’m sure. Just cause something doesn’t go your way, it doesn’t mean that you whine and complain, it literally benefits no-one
I’m satisfied with the number of mega evolutions we got so far and I’m very positive that we are going to get more because of the intereview of Shigeru Ohmori.
People are allowed to have and express an opinion. I mean, it’s nice if they do it in a polite and coherent manner, sure, but this *is* a fandom comprised of many people under the age of 15, so it’s not exactly shocking if some of the reactions are less than mature.

I wanted to use a Mega Lopunny, I know where it is (but not any of the other Mega Stones), and it wasn’t until recently that its mega stone location was revealed, which leads me to believe its in the post-game. But the location its in doesn’t make it seem like that.

Sooooo. Can somebody go into detail on how the mechanics of rayquaza mega evolving works
It just has to know the move Dragon Ascent. If you forget it he can’t mega evolve. However you can relearn it at any time after the Delta Episode by speaking to Zinnia’s grandmother in Meteor Falls.

I think it is explained in the Delta Episode but i’m unsure… i think it may have something to do with Rayquaza being a space dwelling pokemon and i believe the mega stones originate from space?? But yeah it certainly is OP but i don’t actually know if Items work while it is in it’s mega form but i would guess so.

Did they go back to HMs in OR/AS? That’s a negative. Surf, Strength, Fly, Dive and Waterfall should have been the only HMs. Then Cut, Rock Smash and Flash should be TMs. The moves were basically useless and annoying.

I’m still psyched about ORAS, regardless of the absence of Mega Milotic and Flygon. I’d still use those two and even Altaria. Already many of my favorites have received Megas, so I’m glad. But apparently TF knew what is my ULTIMATE FAVORITE Pokemon and exempt it from getting a mega.
Besides, there is tons of new mechanics and features that will make this game one of the very best in Pokemon history. On top of that, there is a legit post-game story plot to keep you rolling even after becoming the champion. So, with that, I declare ORAS to be the best Pokemon games GameFreak *coughtrollfreakcough* will ever create. Cheers.

Well i just managed to get a actual Translated Black Rom working for the first time and i couldn’t wait to get started
as i progressed got beaten by Lenora twice and decided to train and while i was training outside pinwheel i found a Sawk and knowing they were rare i caught it but paid very little mind to it, but in the rematch Tepig and Drilbur got K.O’d easily and Sawk easily beat Lenora and i decided to keep him on the team

Sturdy is good when used, but used against. Especially with Graveller and Skarmory. I like Skarmory. I used to be predominately Special attackers, but now I use both offenses, though still leaning slightly towards special attackers though.

I know, and when people call him lazy for not including something, I get mad at them, because he took all this time to make these games.

I believe he does what he can to make the fans happy, and that it probably isn’t easy for him to include everything that everyone wants, I’m sure he wants to make everyone happy but sometimes its not so easy unfortunately. Even though people have the right to be upset about things that bother them and are entitled to their opinion, imo I don’t think its right to blame one person for all of that, he’s the creator and does what he feels is best as well as sharing Pokémon with us when he didn’t have to.Tbh I’m upset about no mega Flygon but Brandon cheered me up on that xD there will probably be a day where it’ll be its turn to shine and till then will patiently wait for it to happen if it doesn’t I’ll be upset but my love for the Pokémon won’t stop xD I’m glad Pokémon like Altaria and Metagross was able to get one those made a lot of people happy.

You can trade and receive from Bank technically as soon as you get the dex (you get your pokemon, travel up to oldale, have quick battle with rival, back down to littleroot then get the dex). However if you want to trade you need at least 2 pokemon in your team 🙂

It’s a perfectly legitimate training technique to teach a pokemon a move it wouldn’t otherwise know until too late in the game to matter, or to give it a physical move early on if its movepool is filled with special/vice versa it can’t properly utilise. It’s not a ‘douche move’ just because you don’t want to do it. Not unless using IV breeding, EV training and type advantage is a ‘douche move’ too -_- Also: the dig tm in Johto can be found before the 3rd gym, so I doubt most people would call it ‘powerful’.

So instead I preordered on my credit card and she said I can preorder both, so here I am.
