The day you’ve all been waiting for is finally here! (Aside from those of us who have to wait just a little longer.) The first stage of the release for Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire starts today, fans in the US, Japan and Australia can finally get their hands on the game after years of wishful hoping, and months of anticipation. Trainers in Europe can expect to get their mitts on the games when they release on November 28.
For those of you who have already picked up the game, we hope you are enjoying it! In this article we invite all of our readers, whether old or new to join in and discuss the games. What starter Pokémon will you/have you chosen? What are you most looking forward to in the games? How are you celebrating the release (outside of playing the games, obviously!)

are any mega stones available throughout the story other than starter, metagross download and lati?
Yes, there are.
You can find Mawilite in Verdanturf Town, which you can access just after the 3rd Gym.
You can also get Aggronite in Rusturf Tunnel after breaking the rocks that lead to Verdanturf.
Finally, you can get Alakazite in Slateport City, which can be found in the Marketplace area.
Those are all I have found so far, but I will let you know when I find more. 🙂
The Minun sweep is complete :’)
So first, Minun was able to Encore Magnemite into Volt Switch, which doesn’t affect me cause Volt Absorb :3 I then proceeded to Spark it to death even after a Super Potion :3
Then out came Voltorb, and I tried Singing to put it to sleep, but this time Wattson trolled ME XD Soundproof, so instead I Encored Voltorb into Charge, and again killed it slowly but surely with Spark.
Then out came Magneton, in a battle of Supersonic, Sing, Swift, and Magnet Bomb, Minun came out on top in the end, NOT HURTING ITSELF at 11 HP (which it then would’ve died to Magnet Bomb), and killing Magneton with Swift :’)
Wow, I’ve had 3 awesome Gym Battles so far in Omega Ruby, absolutely LOVING IT
I’m 9 hours in and I’ve just barely beaten Wattson. xD
Try almost 9 and still didn’t beat Brawly yet. XD I’m so stuck on the scope thing.
What do you get for beating Master Rank in a Contest?
I’m killin em with Swellow. We’ve gone undefeated through the first three ranks in the Coolness Contest.
Would you beleive me if I said I never won a Master Rankin Emerald? I never went higher than a Normal Rank, or whatever was lowest.

I never won a contest, period, in Sapphire back in the day.
I only won Normal Beauty with Milotic and Normal Smart with Gardevoir.
I don’t remember anything else.
I’d tell you, but I rage quit after getting 2nd place five times in a row in my Master attempt 🙁

How does dexnav work in caves? I’ve been walking around fiery path for a while now and I haven’t seen anything pop up…..
There should be a little dust cloud with a pokemon inside.
Is it like way less common then in the grass? Bc it seemed like I’ve been in Fiery path for a while and there was nothing…….
Try to use the search feature so you can see how it works. Click on a Pokemon’s pic…
Whenever I use the search in fiery path it says to look in a different place…..maybe u can’t do it on there? I wonder if other people have had this problem
I think it needs recharging like radar. I get that too when I abuse Search a lot 🙂
But yeah there are hidden Pokemon in caves too. When search works that is. You will see a shadow on the ground with a dust cloud. It will disappear periodically and re-appear in a different position, so you have to “sneak” the fastest you can.

It’s the same, I just don’t use it.
The same (other party members get 50% of lead), but enemy Pokemon and trainers are higher level than before. In a rushed playthrough with exp. share you will fall behind…

Yes.
There are no more “specific tiles”. But it is rare.
If the pokemon timeline has alternate realities then that just makes everything more confusing than Zelda.
So…maybe the reremakes are on different timelines? Hence why they’re different from origionals
I think I will finish the game first before I build my living dex…

I just feel so good about this new game. It’s like I have a new favorite Pokemon in Swellow and it’s creating new fond memories together with my “classic” Swampert. 🙂
