The day you’ve all been waiting for is finally here! (Aside from those of us who have to wait just a little longer.) The first stage of the release for Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire starts today, fans in the US, Japan and Australia can finally get their hands on the game after years of wishful hoping, and months of anticipation. Trainers in Europe can expect to get their mitts on the games when they release on November 28.
For those of you who have already picked up the game, we hope you are enjoying it! In this article we invite all of our readers, whether old or new to join in and discuss the games. What starter Pokémon will you/have you chosen? What are you most looking forward to in the games? How are you celebrating the release (outside of playing the games, obviously!)

So far i’m loving the game. One thing really bothers me though. On Route 103 where you battle May for the first time, you can see the puddle from the opening on the route. You can also see the mountains from when the camera goes up. The mountains look extremely weird on the route. It almost looks like it’s a flat wall. Idk that bothered me. But yea, the games are amazing, hopefully they’re as good as the originals if not better, which i have heard that they are.

I can’t decide between Zangoose and Mightyene (Ice and Dark are my favorite types and I already have a Flying/Normal on my team so I’m leaning towards Mightyena for lack of a better dark type, unless I trade from anothre version) for my Alpha Sapphire version, and I can’t decide between Exploud or Roserade for my Omeg Ruby version… What are your thoughts?
I’d go with Roserade, just because I like it better and gives your team more coverage. Also, you don’t have an electric type so you should probably have a grass type
I’m not a huge fan of electric types, the only one I’d probably consider is Raichu or Ampharos but as far as me and electric types go, I’m not one to use them often.

I usually have an electric.Especially in Hoenn since there are so many water types. Also Pelipper and Gyarados can be annoying to battle without one
What about my OS team?
I like it, although to be honest, I wouldn’t use Pidgeot without it’s mega stone. It’s awful and has a very shallow movepool. As for mightyena or Zangoose, I’d probably go Zangoose
I was hoping Zangoose would get a mega… and I was torn between Salamence and Pidgeot but I love Pidgeot’s mega
But Ice type pokemon are my favorite so Glalie will be my main mega and Swmapert cause he is a BEAST!

Is having 4 Pokémon that Mega Evolve on one team over the top?
I have 5.
On each team (OR and AS)
I have three on each team (I have both versions) but I don’t think it matters because you can only use one at a time. And now a lot of pokemon mega evolve so it’s sort of hard not to have more than one. I have (or will have) Swampert, Pidgeot, Glalie on AS and Blaziken, Gallade, and Sableye on my OR team.
So, I went to the midnight release with a friend and have spent 14 hours playing ORAS.
I picked Mudkip, he Treecko.
(I also am getting Gardevoir while he has Gallade xD)
And I found the Steelixite, yay
YAY! I have both versions and I picked Mudkip and Torchic

How you get Regicigas is some stupid way, I mean you have to nickname your Regice and get it to hold a frozen item like a Never-melt-Ice or CasteliaCone…how is this relevant?!

So I have a very plausible theory about Mirage Spots. Have any of you noticed that some of the spots have HOOP-shaped portals? It’s because it’s Hoopa being a shady little booty and jacking everything up with its hyperspace powers! I’m certain that Hoopa will eventually get an event explaining this and also explaining its new form.

I bought my bro AS and he picked Treeko. I’ll wait a little longer to buy myself OR due to financial reasons. I’ll pick Mudkip as my starter. This is the first time that my bro’s starter has a type advantage against mine, and I look forward to catching some of my team members (transferring two of them from XY)!

Got the games this morning. Really awesome so far. I can’t wait to look for a Feebas for my team because apparently, they are on any tile now, just as a rare encounter instead!!! That makes it so much easier to use one of my favorite pokemon!

Just spent 2 hours in Petalburg Forest trying to get a Quick Feet shroomish and another shroomish with Drain Punch… luckily the HA shroomish is female so i can breed them together to get a good shroomish 🙂
