In addition to showing off the newly revealed Mega Evolutions of Altaria, Salamence and Lopunny, we also get our first look at Horde Battles against Team Magma! The official site has also been updated with screenshots and more information.
The Pikachu which can wear outfits is called ‘Cosplay Pikachu’ and has a distinctive tail different than normal Pikachus. It has a dark heart-shaped mark and is the only Pikachu able to use costumes.
Contests will have an Introduction Round which judges your Pokémon’s conditions, which can be improved through the use of Pokéblocks, and then a Talent Round in which you have 5 turns to use moves. There are also combos which can give your score a boost, such as Focus Energy followed by Stone Edge. Through your performances you can also amass a fan following which you’ll see at the Hall entrances.
In a new feature, you can also take pictures with your Pokémon during the contest, as seen above.

I love when Pokemon games are released in the fall/winter time. I can stay inside while it’s cold outside, sipping coffee or hot chocolate, playing Pokemon in front of the TV with a blanket at dusk. Sounds like heaven to me.

Some is a loose term. Not all Pokemon can mega evolve, therefore some can ME for the contests.

Walking with Pokemon was in the script for Gen V.
They had to start from scratch with X and Y. I’m sure that they’re working on adding that feature again in the near future. Sprites to 3D models was a huge transition. We’ll be using models for quite a while.

Like I said before. X and Y, they had to start on a new console from scratch. They have to get used to the engine and console before being able to flesh out all problems. Compare Firered to Emerald. Diamond to Black 2.
But it’ll still be laggy.
The game only takes up 1.7 GB. The cartridge can hold a lot more. Why do you think it would still be laggy?

Like I said, the cartridge is capable of a lot more memory. Frame lag could be fixed easily in future installments, even with the new features.
