PJT ’14 – Pre-Start Update

As promised we’re now bringing the final update before the PokéJungle 2014 Tournament begins. This post contains the information you’ve all been waiting for: the groups and competitors assignments for the first stage of the tournament.

Below you will find each group, as well as the period in which these groups will be battling. During this period each competitor will have to battle every other person in their group once. This update is relatively short as we plan to have further details and a recap on all information on the day of the tournament starting (perhaps this wasn’t the final, final update!); don’t forget you can view all previous updates on the tournament by clicking HERE.

These group listings are now set and with exception to extreme circumstances we can no longer change the dates or groups competitors have been positioned in. As mentioned above we will provide an update on the day of the tournament beginning recapping the rules, code of conduct and tournament format. The tournament will the begin.

  9. Just wondering, anyone wan either an anime special ( like origins or pmd special ) or an animated trailer (like b2/w2) for ORAS?!

    an origin like special would actually work well (besides all the pokemon in the dex 0__0) cause like red’s charizard brandon or may would have a starter that mega evolves

    itll help build even more hype for ORAS plus they can show off mega late@s or even a new starter mega

  11. I said that because one of my friends told me if you look at the latest trailer, in Roxanne’s gym they zoom up on the Hoenn map and it only shows Battle Tower on an Island. LOOOL.

    Then I was remembering the words this is a full on remake.RS had only a Battle Tower. Now here’s the next bit that had me thinking… (it’s a tiny bit long but here me out!)

    -People would assume its safe for ORAS to draw elements from Emerald. They may be wrong. The first thing we look at is that Brendan & May’s attire draws inspiration from only their RS designs and not the Emerald designs.

    -We haven’t seen Scott in any screen shot, trailer, or mentioned.

    -It was safe to HGSS to draw elements from Crystal, simply because Crystal’s differences were very minor and incorporated in every game. Picking a girl, battle tower, etc. The suicune story wasn’t that much different so it was safe to carry that over. Emerald is a different story, the plot change was drastic, and used FRLG’s graphic engine.

    -My last bit of speculation is about the backpacker in XY that gave us strange souvenir and said he comes from a region that isn’t Hoenn. One of the things this backpacker told us is that his region has a “Facility like we wouldn’t believe” (battle facility anyone?) .

    Then one has to wonder. If ORAS has Secret Bases, Contests, AND a frontier, you know how many people will skip out on buying the Zygarde game simply because all the content they want is packed inside of oras? As a smart marketing move, it’d be right if they make an entire new frontier (as well as move tutors) and introduce them in the Zygarde game. It’d still give people the incentive to go out and get another Pokemon game.

      • 1.) that was a picture of the old map from r/s/e not ORAS as pointed out by gamexplain
        2.) full on remakes means it incorporates everything r/s had but it can still add on to it like these new secreat bases and mega evolutions. HG/SS added the battle frontier to its region
        3.) obviously its a r/s remake not emerald 😉 clothing is only one thing ( possibly customization hint)
        4.) They wouldnt just randomly show scott this early on, its the post game we are talking about . Battle frontier and scott shall probably be shown in the october or november corocoro, why spoil the post game so early???
        5.) the strange souvineir is a red herring probably go na end up like the gs ball from gen 2
        6.) Junich masuda said it himself that hoenn is very found to him so he wouldnt mess up the game sby taking away one of the most memorable features in hoenn something that gave emrald such high reviews

          • no your logic doesnt support it that much cause there is just as much evidence provided by me and tc to counte rand add on to the battle frontier in ORAS train

          • I don’t know. HG/SS had a Battle Frontier and they didn’t have one before! I’m confident that they would put that in OR/AS. Why would they leave it out?

        • GS Ball was an event item. You couldn’t find it in the original game like Strange Souvenir. They also even went on ahead & foreshadowed a new Pokemon that is venerated as a protector. But all of this is irrelevant to the battle frontier XD

            and i dont wanna end up with alot of spam here so il end it here saying you and I have alot of evidence for both sides so lets both just see in November who is right 🙂

    • Regarding the first point, that’s more for nostalgia purposes 🙂 That’s the original Hoenn map, not the new one

    • *Claps* Really nice catch bro! Yet, I have to say. I think Brendan & May draw more inspiration from their Emerald outfits. The map in Roxanne’s Gym was a throwback. Nothing you have to follow. We haven’t seen all the information so we cannot assume Scott is not going to be in it.

    • Also in regards to the HGSS comparison. Scott was more of an add on rather than a plot changer, so it’d be relatively easy to add him and the Frontier into ORAS

  13. I think the new facility in Z will be a place people can upload their own teams to and you can battle them. Maybe there will be options to upload specific teams like mono teams, legendary teams, etc, and you can download them to your game and make tourneys and stuff similar to the PWT. That’s just my thoughts tho after thinking what kind of facility they could make XD

  14. oh i was howling laughing yesterday, my sister and I were co-oping b2/w2 and i was in undella bay looking for a male frillish so along my way i kept encountering female frillish and then i said LEAVE AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO NEVER COME BACK” eventually i found a female jellicent after i caught my male frillush and its nature was…….sassy XD go figure

    also i caught a wailord and it was sassy 0-0

    • I have that same one. IIt’s legit. I know the girl who got it on twitter, her name is Chelsea and she lives in japan. The event isn’t region locked so it has english name thanks to her 3DS, and she had her time/date set wrong so she obtained it on dec 25th like a noob. Smh LOOOL

      Bare in mind, if you can trade diancie over wifi, it’s legit. The hacked ones that say “Online Present” are still blocked (thank the lord). If it says from the Pokemon Movie it’s legit.

    People get so mad when we do that on gamefaqs lol. Yesterday they were calling us “elite (insert f word)”. One guy made a thread saying “all these damn punks want to get diancie and only trade for other natured diancie’s but can’t give me one” while It was funny.. I felt so bad lol. You think we’re wrong for doing that?
