As promised we’re now bringing the final update before the PokéJungle 2014 Tournament begins. This post contains the information you’ve all been waiting for: the groups and competitors assignments for the first stage of the tournament.
Below you will find each group, as well as the period in which these groups will be battling. During this period each competitor will have to battle every other person in their group once. This update is relatively short as we plan to have further details and a recap on all information on the day of the tournament starting (perhaps this wasn’t the final, final update!); don’t forget you can view all previous updates on the tournament by clicking HERE.

Okay so I’ve been wondering this for a while now. What do you guys think will be the more popular of the two remakes? I personally like AS more than OR but when I try looking up online surveys on websites like GameFAQs, I don’t see anything.

It’ll depend on which version has the better version exclusive branched Megas. Despite the fact that Yveltal seemed to be more popular than Xerneas, more people seemed to like X more because of Mega Charizard X.
We’ve yet to have any version exclusive branched Megas in ORAS.
However, if we don’t have any, my bet is on AR because more people seem to like Kyogre.

I don’t think so. The Defense points don’t transfer to Attack. They are removed from the Defense Stat, and new points are gained to Attack.

I have a proposal for the Poke Games:
Each tribute battles his/her matchup partner (from another district) twice in a row, except each time, different handicaps will be in place. Only your first handicap will have to be obeyed in your first battle, while your second in your second battle. There may be a third battle and a third handicap to avoid ties.
In the first round, there will be 12 teams of 2. In the second round, there will be 6 teams of 2. In the third round, there will be 3 teams of 2. And in the final round, there will be 2 teams of 2.
With this new proposal, the Poke Games will extend across more than 4 days. 1, 2, or 3 teams will battle per day, either just in the morning, in the morning and the afternoon, or in the morning, afternoon and evening.
It’s expected that the Poke Games last as little as 8 days (3 teams a day) with this new proposal, but could extend for as long as 23 days (1 team a day).
During the week of August 11th, I need to attend an open house at school, so there may not be any battles. I am not certain yet though.
Thoughts? New ideas? Feedback? Opinions? All is appreciated 🙂
This might be difficult do to ties and such and I think it would be much easier to do it the original way, because you can’t really just know when I tie will happen and you can’t have third handicap for ties since it is very unpredictable

I just want to know why you think we would only get the battle tower, when the Battle frontier was originally introduced in Hoenn. To me, it only would make sense for them to include it. For the Zygarde game, I could see them taking a few pointers from the B2/W2 games, such as more legendaries to find postgame. Then add same frontier as ORAS, and definitely a new Zygarde form. Possibly more outfits for customization, and that would seel the game to me for sure.

HG/SS had chrystal elements, I see no reason why they would take out the BF from hoenn XD Kalos has its own good features, Like character customization and such. I want pokemon Z to be a fun game, too, its gonna be my last pokemon game, but honestly I do not see the BF being in Z and not ORAS. :3

The games are probably done anyway. They usually wrap up full development about 3 months before release.
I would love this because then I could enjoy it without having to avoid all the spoilers the day in comes out when I’m at school.

Aweee, I’m pretty sure they’re wrapping up development soon though – most companies finish about 3 months before. I don’t think any company works straight down to release month.
Actually, there were a couple of games that did that. I heard a story on a charity live stream where one of the translators of the pokemon games said Gamefreak wouldn’t give them the script to translate until a month to a month and a half before they released the japanese version because they were still making changes to it. Weird huh?

Shadow Tag must be REALLY broken for Chandelure line to Switch its HA from Shadow Tag in 5th gen to Iniltrator in this gen
