With our final update for PJT scheduled tomorrow, what better time than now to talk about the competitive scene in Pokémon?
Competitive Battling in Pokémon really is a huge deal, there’s an annual World Championship tournament to find the world’s best Pokémon trainer, entire websites dedicated to battling and much, much more.
This JungleTalk is a relatively simple an broad one, just focusing on the competitive aspect of Pokémon as a whole. We want to know any memorable battles you’ve had, any cool sweeps or times you’ve fallen victim to an effective sweep, your favorite Pokémon you like to use in battle…
Anything! Tell us about your competitive experiences! We’re looking forward to hosting our biggest tournament (the first of many to come, no less!) and can’t wait to begin in just a few days! 😀

Best memory of mine is probably back in Diamond/Pearl days. An awesome and extremely lucky Salamence sweep. Can’t remember much else other than that it was awesome.
Back in Pearl, I was stuck getting to the final city because that one NPC won’t let me pass and I had no idea how to proceed. I went back to mess with Mt. Coronet and somewho managed to get to Palkia and caught it. I was new to the game franchise and was pretty excited to get a legendary. 😀

Around the time I first hatched and trained Swagold (My Altaria), I battled Rocket and she made me so proud :’) She ended up taking down Vaporeon, Furfrou, Granbull, Leafeon, and Manectric. Apologies to Rocket if I’m bringing up a bad battle D: It was Swagold’s true coming out party ;_;
The best i have ever done was the 2012 regional pokemon tourment. I got to the final 8 with out losing once. But then i losed. And i got kicked out of it.(Because they were doing single-elimanation). And only the top freakin 7 got to go to nationals!

In my first day of Eevee Friendly,i won 9/10 battles
i remember in the 2012 tournment i swept with a vanulex. The set is onglost now but it was amazing!

I love using my shiny Moxie Salamance. I have plenty of others that I love but sweeping with that is amazing. I also love making my friends go against my Darkrai. They hate it so much. Not really saying the use of my Darkrai is competitive, but I still love using it.

Oooo there was this one time i beat three guys while waiting or X and Y
and that short while i swept some of you guys with my new Hawlucha
and that one battle with Heavy where it was just me and his Azumarill and he used Aqua Jet and Rhy survived with like 3 HP and i 1HKO’d it with Rock Wrecker winning the Battle
And Yesterday i 1HKO’d Heavy’s Diancie (i told everyone then got banned for Battle Spam for a day its cool now)
and as for losses i never forget a loss, i even have a list of Pokemon who scorned me too long tell

Competitive battling? None, as of yet. Never could get into it, but that will change with ORAS (and me becoming a regular on here). For what it’s worth, I do already do smash games and MK.
