Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Trailer and Details

Nintendo’s Digital E3 was broadcast earlier today and with it the company has shared a handful of details relating to new Pokémon games. Below you can find our coverage of the news, expect more throughout the day with in depth coverage just around the corner!

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

And full trailer has been shown for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, showing Hoenn completely remade with 3D environments. Launching worldwide on November 21 in the US and November 28 in Europe!

In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Kyogre and Groudon are able undergo a process known as Primal Reversion. This allows the two Pokémon to revert into Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, and allows them to draw back power from nature and gain an even larger power boost. When undergoing Primal Reversion, Kyogre receives a boost to its Special Attack stat whilst Groudon become Ground/Fire type and gains a boosted Attack stat. Both Pokémon also seem to gain a boost to their abilities, although it’s not possible to confirm this yet.

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will bring players even closer to discovering the secrets behind Mega Evolution, with players seeking out Pokémon capable of Mega Evolving and unlocking their incredible potential. More Mega Stones are said to be hidden across the Hoenn region. It also appears that there may be a link between Mega Evolution and Primal Reversion.

Below are a selection of screenshots and artwork showing the updated Hoenn region and the two legendary Pokémon undergoing Primal Reversion.

  1. Hope Europe is happy with their colored cases. Must be why they have to wait a week after xD Jk, but wow, sucks for them 😛

  2. tbh the overworld in ORAS looks underwhelming, and I was hoping they would have fixed the 2d over world issue, but oh well. The main concern I have with this game is that ruby and saphire were designed for the gameboy so they’re not going to have any really impressive overworld designs like x and y had with lumiose city or that route over the sea.

  3. Did anyone else realise that for the 3DS SSB4 you could essentially turn off the cell shading so it looks more like the Wii U version?

  4. I would like to point out some holes in Verlisify’s theory,
his point where how it shows the whole body when you send out a pokemon to show how the character can change:
They had customization in x//y, why didn’t they do it there?
And the point where you can “see red” on may’s bag on cycling hill:
    That was her body
why would a bag be 1/2 of a person’s height?????
