The June issue of Japanese comic magazine CoroCoro (which is published in May) has begun leaking and the new Ruby and Sapphire remakes are featured.
Information
- The first scan simply introduces Groudon and Kyogre and the caption points out that they look different than the art on the packages
- Unknown whether more pages will surface
- Next month the magazine will run more information about the games

A guy who claims to work for Nintendo has leaked some interesting information about Nintendo’s E3 Show. For the Nintendo 3DS a new trailer of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire will be show. And finally a trailer for Pokken a Pokémon fighting game from Namco will debut.

How in the world is Groudon able to stand on water? Like literally, it popped out the water and just stood there. If that’s Sootopolis in the background, then surely that water should be miles deep.

While that’s possible, why would Groudon be in the sea in the first place?

In Ruby, you found it sleeping under Mt.Chimmney in Team Magma’s hideout, and later found it in the Cave of Origin. In emerald you found it in Team Magma’s hideout and then in Terra Cave. Not once was it found to be in water.
Sounds like someone needs to play Ruby again 😉 There was no Team Magma hideout in Mt. Chimney in Ruby version, that was added to Emerald. Groudon was awakened in the Seafloor Chamber.
I never played Ruby. I got Emerald so I can’t clearly remember how it went.

Just because it bathes in magma doesn’t mean it can’t do so in water. ._. That’s like saying water will kill Groudon. And don’t say water is supereffective against it in this case. Water here isn’t used in great force. And all living things need water.
I’m not saying it doesn’t bathe in water, I’m just going by the information from the Pokemon wiki, which yes, I know can be edited at any time, but I’ve seen Groudon do it in the movies, as well as read in-game text about it.
that is to say, Groudon isn’t effected by water at all, anyway. At least in the anime.

The sea surrounding Sootopolis is deep enough for you to dive in it, so how can Groudon evaporate water that deep and still stand on top of the water?
Well, Groudon’s height is 11’06” or 3.5 m, and you don’t really know the official depth of that part of the sea, it’s not even that far offshore.
Plus there’s the cavern, raising the land level.
I think it’s a given that the water has to be a lot deeper than 3.5m otherwise it’s hardly diving is it?
Groudon could easily create landmass beneath its feet as it rose out of water.
