The spin-off “game” Pokémon Art Academy, which teaches users how to draw various Pokémon characters, will receive an international release. It will be available to Europeans July 4, Australians on July 5, and North American 3DS owners sometime during the Fall. The official page for the game is here.

It is a full game, yes, as was announced in the Japanese reveal.
It’s hard to believe that those are drawn on a 3DS .-.
The 3DS XL is a different story though.

Really? What did you expect? For them to fully reveal the game in its first day?
Remember that Black and White’s announcement also went without footage for a few weeks, as did almost all games before. XY got footage because the announcement via a Nintendo Direct was part of Nintendo’s desperate plan to save the 3DS. And now they want to build up the hype towards E3 and unleash all the important things at that time. They announced the names because they wanted to get hype building already, and they did it so early to precede Corocoro.
You’ll get everything you want to know in time. Just understand that keeping you in the dark is part of Gamefreak’s plan. 😉

I just dislike all spinoffs. Tried PMD once, too hard and the dungeons were too damn long. Lost my attention, sad to say. This looks kind of interesting because I’m pretty good with art but not sure I’d spend like $35 on it…

Main reasons I believe this to be a Ruby/Sapphire remake with almost 100% of the features emerald did.
HG/SS were announced and full Pokemon Gold and Silver remakes, but when it came right down to it, 100% of pokemon crystals features were carried over into pokemon HG/SS, the battle frontier was placed right where the pokemon crystals exclusive battle tower was, although Suicunes story was no that noticeable, Eusine appeared in pokemon crystal, and was carried over to HG/SS, The Legendary dogs had their themes recreated with a different tune, just like pokemon Crystal but mostly it was a pretty underwhelming difference from G/S –> Crystal, But the point is they kept the idea from crystal.
They wouldn’t just remove some of the most popular features of emerald just because it wasn’t in R/S (takes me back to the Crystal HG/SS features)
They have had a battle frontier in most games that are not B/W (2) or X and Y (Battle maison could be considered) etc…
The story in Ruby and Sapphire just really pales in comparison to emeralds. The only problem with using 100% of Emeralds story is that Rayquaza is the main legendary in that game. You can’t catch Groudon or Kyogre until after the E4. They would need to change that because Kyogre and Groudon are kind of the legendaries on the box. They could make it like Hg/Ss though and put one legendary before the E4 and then one after. But then I’m not sure what they would do with Rayquaza. That’s the only problem I can really think of.
Think of it this way, they have the story of emerald with slight alteration dealing with the 2 legends on the boxes. Rayquaza can still be part of the main story line <3, I like to think of it as them giving us a more in depth feel for it regardless of them changing HG/SS to the Lugia/ho-oh main even, they still gave us a side story for Suivune along with Eusine 😀

That’s true. I hope they do, because I really like battling both Team Aqua and Magma in the same game and then going to their secret hideouts that Emerald added. Plus it wouldn’t be a problem if both games had essentially the same storyline because that’s how every other version is, basically. Same story, different Legend.
You’re comparing two completely different games. The plot in Crystal wasn’t different, they just added Suicune to it. That’s not hard to implement xD
In Ruby and Sapphire, it was two completely different stories than that found in Emerald. Emerald COMBINED those two stories. If we were getting Emerald’s perspective, we’d be seeing an Emerald remake instead of an R/S remake because just how much the actual storyline was different.
The story IMO will follow that of Ruby and Sapphire, but there will be Emerald features such as the Battle Frontier, etc.
Even that trailer showed it was the awakening of one legendary for each game…R/S’s plot

I 100% agree. And might I add, Emerald was even built on a different engine than RS. It used FRLG as its base, so it REALLY is a complete new game. Crystal still used GS’s engine, and only difference it had besides implementing Suicune’s little moment was that we could choose a girl. I’m with you on this TC, I don’t see it following Emerald’s plot, but still incorporate the features of stuff like Frontier etc.

Secret bases return. Poke-dolls return, Furniture returns,
and Wi-fi visiting will be enabled. Battles inside secret bases will be a
feature. A generic background will be displayed during the battle.
The two bikes return – Mach and Acro.
Swampert and Sceptile will have Mega Evolutions. 17 new added . Not including the Eon Duo.
You can pick a Generation 2 starter mid-game ( at the 4th
gym roughly ) each with a new Mega Evolution.

So, since you guys are my second family, I thought it’d be best to update you guys as to why I will NOT be returning to Pokejungle for the next three weeks.
Being on Pokejungle has taken a toll on my grades. Due to being active on Pokejungle so much, I’m behind with my assignments and my grades are falling. I don’t want this to affect my final scores at the end of the year, so I need to do my best NOW.
This week, I have 13 PAGES of feedback to address that needs to be turned in ON FRIDAY. That gives me 4 days to do a shitload of work.
Next week, I have a presentation due. And the week after I have to present my project to THE ENTIRE SCHOOL. Pokejungle takes a lot of precious time away from me that I could be using to my benefit.
It’s no one’s fault that I’m leaving for a while. It’s my own, for the extended amount of procrastination and not weighting my time properly between schoolwork and Pokemon. I’m upset to leave, but after all of my hard work this year, I am not giving up because of this.
My expected return date is around the time that next month’s CoroCoro leaks. “See you tomorrow” comments will not be appreciated, since this is a serious issue. I need to bring my grades up, or I’m done for this year.
Please understand that I need to leave due to what’s happening in life. None of you are at blame. I look forward to seeing you all in about a month and having some new things leak by then.

I would say i have similar problems but my grades are mainly B and Cs. I don’t do homework at home. ._. I don’t blame pokejungle. I blame myself for being irresponsible and i blame the internet for being addicting o_o

Vita is still too Expensive and lacks games. The memory cards are expensive as well. The 3DS is more affordable and has more games which is why there are more 3DS owners than Vita owners. If the Vita had more games and received a price drop. I would definitely get one. The Silent Hill game for the vita, it got crappy reviews but i still want to play it 😛
