Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:

Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!
These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

According the trademarked list, we will see megas for Jynx, Kecleon, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Sceptile, Swampert, Plusle, & Minun.
According to evidence we have in XY, Zygarde
According to placeholders for mega’s in XY that read “R1, R2, R3”, mega’s for Regirock, Regice, and Registeel.
According to history, if Diantha gave us mega stone for her main Pokemon Gardevoir, we can assume Steven will give us mega stone for his main Metagross.

I think the space station will let us go out to space and catch Deoxys, Mega Swampert and Sceptile will be present (which is why they weren’t in X & Y), and I bet it’s going to be AMAZING! EVen better than X & Y since they are better adapted to the 3DS now and I cannot wait AT ALL to see some footage!!!!!! I’M SO EXCITEDD

Just wondering, how do we know that it’s 8gigs?
Because when the 3Ds was announced at E3 they said a cartridge had the ability to hold up to 8 GB of data.
So we don’t know that it takes up 8 gigs, it just has the potential.
I can finally this properly. HOENN CONIFIRMED! But in all seriousness, this looks amazing, and are those Mega Groundon/Kyogre? Maybe the Red and Blue orbs could have something to do with it as I speculated 😀 Can’t wait!

Yup I had commented this earlier lol. Because Soul Dew is no longer in XY’s coding and was replaced with mega stones, so its evident the orbs will be replaced.
It’s not the first time they discarded items. GS Ball, Gold Berry, Beserk Gene.

If the Kalos starters get Mega’s, I hope Mega Chesnaught gets “Stance Change”…
When it mega evolves, its normal stance (hiding behind his shell) has +50 to its defenses. But when it attacks it goes into attack form (+50 to its offenses but loses the +50 from normal stance).
To go back into normal stance you would use Spiky Shield. Instead of lowering their attack like King’s Shield it’ll hurt them like the regular move but revert you back to normal stance.
This would be amazing. Also they need to give it some more fighting moves

If they will have 8 gigabytes… There has to be a HUGE amount of content! X & Y was only 1 gigabyte. Maybe a neighboring region? Mega Stones are Kalos-exclusive so what if that neighboring region is over the mountains and it’s how we’ll get Mega Stones into Hoenn? The graphics must be amazing!!! Such us the video already!
