Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:

Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!
These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

Everyone’s talking about Mega/Primal Groudon and Kyogre, and I’m just sitting here wondering what Mega/Primal Rayquaza will be like.
Mega Rayquaza, 770 base stat. Flying/Dragon (like Noivern, just for Unique styling), and Give it Aerilate, turns normal moves into flying moves for STAB. So Extremespeed and Hyperbeam is going to make it the most mixed broken killer in the game.
Battle Spot will be even more broken, then. So, you think all three of them will have 770 as their BST?
Yep. With Mega Mewtwo’s only being the stronger, with 780.
I think Rayquaza has a 680 BST whereas Groudon and Kyogre have a 670 BST.
Yeah. but Mega’s increase your total base stat by 100. So Groudon Kyogre Mega will have 770 and Rayquaza 780
I completely forgot about Rayquaza, in the midst of all this. Probably going to stay Dragon/Flying
That is because its going to be a whole new storyline. Thats why people are forgetting rayquaza lol. Its no longer going to be the one to come down and stop them from battling.
I believe this is how they intend to introduce HA Skrelp. Through underwater hordes when we dive. “A school of Skrelp attacked”
When my bro an I finished XY in October, we decided what Hoenn Remake/Sequel games we’d get. I chose Ruby and he picked Sapphire. Can’t wait to get Omega Ruby!!!
One thing I want to see is more land on water routes, like mini islands where you can catch other than Water types and small lakes on land routes, where you could possibly Dive.
If we could have an easier, yet still challenging, way of getting to Mirage Island, that’d be great.
I want mega stones to be harder to find. Certain ones available when the tide is high, certain ones available when the tide is low. Hide a mega stone on a Mirage Island. One on abandoned ship.
Changing tides would be really cool.

considering Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza got retrademarked in 2012 (hinting at mega’s) I’d say atleast since 2011
