Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:
Announcing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokémon!
Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!
These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

ps- Personally I cannot be more excited about these games. I don’t know what a heart attack feels like, but I think I had one when I saw these announced.
FEATURED DISCUSSION: Hidden Ability Trade Shop
I’ve never experienced the joys of the original Hoenn games. Despite that fact, I’m getting Nostalgia Shocks ANYWAY!!!

MY BIRTHDAY IS IN LATE OCTOBER!!!!!! So I’ll get a late gift, I guess.
Out of all the main series Pokemon games I think 3rd gen had the best music imo. Can’t wait for it to be remastered on the 3ds!
I guess my theory about Ruby X and Sapphire Y was wrong. Oh well. Time to edit my “Ruby X” Box in XY. My perfectly bred future party members are in there.
Does Alpha Sapphire fit?
Strange how Alpha is given to Sapphire since Alpha is Greek for “A”, and Ruby comes before Sapphire. However, it still works!
Everyone is back 😀
There BETTER be trumpets, I swear GF don’t F that up! D:
All aboard the hype train! http://i.imgur.com/7AfYPdr.jpg
WEeeeeeeee
So, time for this question: Which one are you getting? Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire?
BOTH!!
Both, but I will main AlphaSapphire since Sapphire was my first gen 3 game
I want to get Alpha Sapphire, but I’m not sure yet.
Leaning towards Omega Ruby, but depending on the exclusives, that might change. Still Groudon > Kyogre 😀
I’M SO EXCITED FOR THESE GAMES! 😀 I CANNOT COPE! HURRY UP COROCORO!
MAIN SERIES POKEMON GAMES coming in just HALF A YEAR! And better yet, it’s HOENN! THIS IS JUST SO SUDDEN, SOMEBODY HUG ME :O

We better get a Mega Tropius with Thick Fat!
Mega shedinjaz
Mega Kyogre and Mega Groudon would have 770 base stats 0_0 putting them 10 points behind the elusive Mega Mewtwo’s who have 780 0_0

why can’t we have it now
and i still have no idea on how to do a gif
These are the updates im really hoping for!!
-Return of secret bases with improved characteristics using street pass and spot pass.
-More Megas, especially Sceptile and Swampert
-Return of contests with much more depth and improvement
-An option for higher difficulty
-Your Pokemon follow you again (which I know is difficult in a 3D environment, but its not impossible)
-Lots to do after defeating the champion besides the Elite 4
-Even more improvements to Ev training and IV training
having pokemon follow us again won’t be difficult. they already have some of the overworld designs done. Litleo, Marril, Diggersby all look well done when you stand next to them in Kalos. It can def be done.
Very true, I really hope so!
What are you guysladies hoping for?
I’m hoping for new Pokemon. It’s a very slim possibility but I just love using Poke’s I haven’t used before.
New Pokemanz and Megas, for now.
Battle. Frontier.
I hope the battle frontier returns. I spent my life trying to get all the battle symbols, the battle pyramid was ridiculously difficult to obtain.
What if two regions are in this game, Hoenn and something else 0_0 I’d literally cry myself to sleep every night.
The backpacker told us it wasn’t Hoenn but yet they drop Hoenn on us. And then the trailer says a whole new world. They are really messing with us, I NEED DETAILS
Hoenn and Kalos???
Possibly Hoenn & the new region that guy was referring to.
Secret Bases are going to be f****** amazing. Remember the stuff we could get in dream world? And the cool little things we could do on our homescreen in Amie. Man they’re gonna rock.

On release day D:

I got my copy already

HAX!!
lmao
Lucky!
I’LL KILL YOU!!!!
seems legit
I wonder whether gamefreak will use the same 3d models in XY in these games?
I wish they’d released it with more info, maybe as to what happened to Groudon and Kyogre.
Mega evolution?
Most likely. Earthen Warrior wants primal forms…
Welp, NOW we know what was in this folder :’D
