Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:
Announcing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokémon!
Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!
These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

They’ll probably be part of the new Hoenn storyline. Volcanion fits somewhere in with Groudon & Kyogre. Hoopa I don’t know where… Lat@s should be the roaming legend with a deeper plot that ends with you getting it’s Mega stone
Diancie & Volcanion are wondercard events. Hoopa will probably be in Omega & Alpha. And what do you mean XY remakes? I don’t see those happening til atleast 2024

I’m super hyped for the new games, but the use of Alpha and Omega worries me a little. It makes it seem like its going to be the last installment of the games. I’m sure it won’t be, but its just something to think about.
they won’t be. I believe the “beginning and the end” refers to 3000 years ago (when the war happened) and whats happening now. Putting an end to whatever is happening now.

Technically, the US site shows the games as Rating Pending. But which organization said 7+? Maybe we can get some info of their rating? These websites usually lists the reason the rate the games

I believe the fact that Alpha & Omega are A and Z in the greek alphabet (referring the the king of Kalos, AZ) means that these games are going to be related to XY.
AZ would be in Hoenn still looking for Floette maybe? Which would put it before the events of X and Y

And also the fact that Omega and Alpha also means “Beginning” and “the end” could mean that 1 game could be a prequel and one game could be a sequel. i just have a feeling both games will be drastically different

Rayquaza was the person of the old storyline. This is a whole new world as the trailer stated so it will follow a new plot. Zygarde monitors the ecosystem and Groudon/Kyogre destroys the ecosystem 0_0

Ruby & Sapphire were me and my bros second poke’ games! And the first ones we actually beat the elite 4 in! SO many memories!
Probably was 10-11 at the time of release. I actually had my aunt buy us the games long before we bought a GBA! Good times
We grew up with Pokemon (those were my third gen!), and still being just 24 I’m not ashamed still being a fan and playing now and then (Pokemon Y)
