Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:
Announcing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokémon!
Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!
These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

So with Pokemon Ruby and Saphire remakes coming out in November, I hope we see a lot of activity here at PJ! This is beyond some of the best news yet! It is way better then a Z games :D. The Nostaligia is killing me right now! I am sitting here almost in a panic thinking about all the old and new features they might add! This will be the game of the year hopefully! I hope so. Just as people were thinking the the jungle was on the verge of dying, it was hit by the Kyogre waves of remakes and awesomeness.
In june corocoro will have news about hoenn I expect these games could be both prequel and sequel XD Alpha sapphire(prequel) and omega ruby( sequel)!Like the beginning(alpha) and the ending(omega). And we will have for sure mega kyogre and mega groudon.
But we must pledge to analyze every drop on info nectar
But what if there’s a Volcanic realm and a Deep Abyssal Realm where Groudon and Kyogre originated from?

Doubt japan or Greek, it fitted the Hawaii theme more with mount chimney and the legends representing the birth of an island and the death(yes the sea Can eventually erode islands away however sometimes the sand banks build up on other areas)

nope. the trailer says “Whole New World”. I think one game is going to be a prequel, and one is going to be a sequel. “Beginning/End”. Both games will probably have drastic changes and be continuations of XY

Love the theory, but doesn’t Rayquaza play the role of the environmental savior in Hoenn? It descends from the sky to end the fight and restore balance. But I could see where Zygarde might fit. An event after beating the champion would trigger Zygarde awakening and upon seeing the damage that has been done, unleashes its rage upon the Humans which it thinks are responsible (well, kinda, yeah) for ruining the land
yeah but remember this is a “whole new world” it’s not following the same storyline as before

It would be great if they just surprised us one day and say oh btw the new pokemon game is coming out tomorrow. But unfortunately the waiting game is how they make their money with all of the hype

Definitely Mega’s. They removed Soul Dew completely and replaced it with mega stones for Lati’s. They will replace Jade Orb, Blue Orb, Red Orb definitely for Mega’s. Also, R1, R2, R3 are placeholder names for megas in XY coding so the Regi’s will be getting mega’s too.
There are 4 regis… though yeah, the other one came out in Gen 4…
True. Unless they make Regigigas available in these new games and give it 3 mega’s, making it Normal/Ice, Normal/Rock, Normal/Steel.
