Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Announced

Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:

Announcing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokémon!

Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!

These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

ps- Personally I cannot be more excited about these games. I don’t know what a heart attack feels like, but I think I had one when I saw these announced.

  1. Dear Sinnoh fans: Please stop talking about Sinnoh remakes (at least until after release) and please wait your turn. Thanks. It’s killing the Hoenn vibe.

  2. Besides it being Hoenn, one thing that makes me happy is that these games are being released worldwide like X and Y 😀

  3. It’s incredibly hard to please everyone. Put yourself in GF’s shoes for a second and look at all the work they do. They try to make all of the fans happy, but we repay them by showing negativity D: Thanks to human nature, no one will ever completely be happy. What most of us wanted is finally confirmed to be released (HURRN YESSS!!) But when it’s confirmed everyone starts talking about Sinnoh while HOENN IS BEING REMADE PEOPLE!!! Point is, I think we should all be happy that GF cares about their fans and is giving them what they have been wanting for a while. Can’t wait to see some actual footage 😀 Hopefully they don’t look like X & Y 😐

  4. TBH. I wonder why people started to complain about ORAS being remakes. I mean. It was kind of obvious. Everyone in the Pokemon Community wanted a remake. If it was a sequel it should have been Ruby 2 & Sapphire 2. I guess the a bit of the fan base is not satisfied. Though its their opinion. If it was a sequel. I’m guessing it would be vise versa.

  5. So would there be a difference between it being a “remake” or a “sequel” ?
I think it’ll be a sequel, cause of the change they gave kyogre and groudon, the mention of a “new region”, the mega latios/as, and also long ago, when the hand guide mentioned new berries not being able to be traded or something like that. I’m excited!

  6. If you’re using a Gen IV-VI pokémon in your ORAS Team, then who are you most excited to use? For me, it’s Aegislash.

  7. will the E4 member use different pokemon this time and will they use the fully evolved pokemon or the middle stage like dusclops and will they use megastones?

  8. Has anyone seen the Japanese logos of Pokemon ORAS? There is a stone on the logo! It might be what changes Groudon and Kyorge into their “new forms” or Mega Evolution! I’m guessing that it is a new forms because of these stones. Also, the stones have the Omega and Alpha symbols. I guess we just have to wait and see! (Refresh to see the Logos.)

  9. As much as I don’t want Mega Evolutions to be a highlight in this game, you guys know how much I want to see a Mega Xatu. So…I guess I’ve been a little bit contradictory? XD
