Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Announced

Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:

Announcing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokémon!

Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!

These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

ps- Personally I cannot be more excited about these games. I don’t know what a heart attack feels like, but I think I had one when I saw these announced.

  1. You know, the fact that these are remakes is sorta concerning, as we will see little change in the gameplay itself.

      • But do we really want to play Hoenn, just with 3D aspects and worlds?
No new sort of gyms, trainers, plot…

    • I was really hoping for sequels. I kinda wish I didn’t know Emerald’s story because I kinda get Ruby and Sapphire’s Stories.

      • Having played both Firered and Heartgold, there is NO difference in the storyline whatsoever.
Sure, the game looks better, but is that all we really play for? To experience the same thing for only better graphics and a few ingame changes that do absolutely nothing to the plot, or the intensity of the game?

          • I would buy ORAS since Pokemon, I feel, has expanded over time. The storylines are better, and more intense…

        • yeah, I mean, it’s nice for people who haven’t played it (like myself), but Hoenn was the one I know the most of.
Like, I know almost every Trainer in that game from replaying it so much (I was alone in the Pokemon world at that age….bad times. That’s kinda why I never got to experience secret bases….stupid social aspect!)
I need something new than just graphics.

          • Now I know more people outside of the Internet in Pokemon. Not a lot but still.
And I also have Pokejungle, so I’m pretty sure I am not alone anymore.
            😀

          • Around the same with me. Hopefully, when I get to college, I’ll find tons.
            I’m hoping. :3

          • Oh, to answer your question from yesterday, I do like Warriors. But, I’m also known as Archeops127/Archie, if you remember me xD Sorry for being so late to replying.. My internet went down right before I posted the comment >.<

    • That’s about one of the only two reasons I didnt want a remake. With Mega Groudon /Kyogre, it’ll be harder to do.

    • Honestly, it all depends on how Gamefreak decides to put it together. These could have some drastic plot changes, but it’s highly unlikely.

  2. Pokemon fans: Asking for Hoenn remake for years….
…remake is officially announced and people complain it’s going to be boring or not different enough.

  3. I don’t care if it gets repetitive and will make no sense. JUST BRING BACK CYNTHIA FOREVER!!!!!

  4. Emerald’s story is just like Ruby’s + Sapphire’s mashed up where both teams are villainous (instead of one being nice).

So… what kind of villain team story will they use for ORAS? (One evil depending on v ersion, or both evil?)

  5. :/ Dang it Dicie, your cleverness made me realize: I never played Gen 2, so HGSS was new to me. But I’ve played Gen 3, so I wonder if it’ll be boring… Hmph. *sighs* Anyways, imma love it.

    • Okay, I guess. XD
I played Pokemon Blue for a little, and played Gold until the finish I think. Sapphire was too long ago to remember the details.

  6. I honestly don’t believe them one bit when they say “Full Remake”. Ummm like…. if they have megas, that would OBVIOUSLY affect the story. Like do dey just mega 4 no reason like umm gurl no.

  8. While Cynthia is on our minds (when is she not?), I’ve got a question:

WHAT THE FRENCH TOAST WERE XY THINKING OF NOT BRINGING CYNTHIA BACK?!?!?!

  9. Can’t wait for the complaining when the games come out,”It follows too close to the originals/ doesn’t live up to the hype.” Don’t expect too much!

  10. I am hoping they do what they did with HG/SS, They kept all the nice stuff and added some AMAZING THINGS (and freaking removed the casino (stupid mothers who worry about gambling)), Pokemon following, Pokeatheon the kimono sisters (and their new involvement with the plot) and the frontier.

  11. Dear people who think hoenn will be boring since they played it:
until november,m do not think of a Single hoenn memory, do no TOUCH or LISTEN to a piece of HOenn music, and DO NOT WATCH VIDEOS OF IT!!
It will seem fresh by november! 😀

  12. You know what I think? I think we miss Confirming Hoenn as a theory. Now that it really has been officially confirmed, it’s like we lost something valuable.
