Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:

Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!
These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

Not sure how I feel exactly. I guess good, since I’ve played Firered and Heartgold before the originals. With Generation 3, I played Sapphire about… 5 years-ish ago. And I never got to finish Emerald. I don’t plan to play Sapphire again… I plan to be BLOWN away by Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire. Who knows. I may even get both.
It’s been legitly confirmed. More Pokemon or Megas have also been confirmed to be ANNOUCED, but not which ones yet.
Theres a minuscule chance that they are sequels and there was some mis communication of something but 99.9999999% chance that they’re remakes

With the short timeframe between now and the release of the game, there should be not very many drought periods. I know for X and Y we had like a 2 or 3 month drought after Sylveon was announced, and up until the Instagram leaks game up. Since the game is 6 months away, there shouldn’t be much begging for more news. 🙂
