Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Announced

Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:

Announcing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokémon!

Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!

These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

ps- Personally I cannot be more excited about these games. I don’t know what a heart attack feels like, but I think I had one when I saw these announced.

  3. Maybe, for you crazy Sinnohnians, we could get Sinnoh starters post-game. Just because…Professor Rowan visits Hoenn! Sure! 😀

  4. I don’t understand it, after all this amazing news, People are being so… doubtful on the game. They are putting a lot of work into this one, and considering they have 2 separate teams for Pokemon production, they probably have been working on this for a long time, stay positive and don’t act disappointed, or you really will be 😀

  5. A new game would have been Way better than a remake, they can’t ruin gen 3 by making a new game because it would be entirely new, like you can’t break a dish without picking it up again… but with a remake they kind of can.. they are picking it up. But I will be happy, I have never known a Pokémon game to suck completely before

  6. Maybe we should…

…Wait until we see a second of gameplay footage to criticize anything or claim anything as fact. Maybe. Speculation can be fun, though. But doubt is another story.

  7. I wonder how this’ll affect the competitive scene.. Will you guys be transferring your competitive pokes to ORAS? Or keep them in XY?

  8. Has anyone considered the fact that maybe we’re not going to Hoenn.
Probably sounds stupid, but how do Greek Letters play into a Japan-based region?
