Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Announced

Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:

Announcing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokémon!

Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!

These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

ps- Personally I cannot be more excited about these games. I don’t know what a heart attack feels like, but I think I had one when I saw these announced.

    • I think RSE Remakes should focus on double battles more. Since they introduced them in the first place. Why not take full advantage of it?

  8. Alright which gym leader and elite four gave you the hardest time
    Mine was Winnona with her DAMN ALTARIA I mean Dragon Dance, Earthquake AND AERIAL ACE, I was 9 years old and didn’t know Fighting types where weak to Flying

    And Pheobe’s Everything
    Also I didn’t know Fighting Types just phased through Ghosts, so I had to teach Blaziken Flamethrower until i learned he could learn Fire Punch
    Double Kick
    Mirror Move
    Protect
    Fire Move

  10. E4 members should all have level 100 pokemon. While you are under leveled by 20. Every pokemon they gave knows Embargo.

  12. Do you think they will make the gym leaders more advanced this time around ? Id love for a HARD mode similar to BW2 BUT actually difficult.

    Definitely excited about new games, they always bring new infos =) No new Pokémon, probably, but maybe Megas. I’m still thinking that much more Pokémon need Megas~ But if these covers are the Megas of Kyogre and Groudon, I’m disappointed; they could’ve done so much more, not just … “Smack another light on them” ._.”

  20. So. Trick House….I wonder if it will be different puzzles? Or if it will be the same tricks as before. (See what I did there?)
    I kinda want different puzzles, you know, so that I have to relearn how to get to the Trick Master.
    But I wouldn’t mind them throwing an old one just for nostalgia’s sake…Or even if it’s the same puzzles. Like anything will do, so long as I get my Trick House!
    Would do you guys think?

    • I think they will be the same puzzles but altered with a few new ones thrown in. Plus with wi-fi they may introduce a co-op mode for the trick house??

      • Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too, adds that bit of freshness and differentness.
        And YES, I want it. I want it so bad. Like they would be special puzzles that require two people and/or just really difficult and it would have NPC trainers. Just yes. I can see it now.

        • It makes sense. Sort of similar to the underground and wouldn’t it be cool if upon mastering the trick house he gives it to you and allows you to make your own puzzles and letting your friends try them out!

With the amount of water and types of water pokemon in these games not to mention the heavy influence of Dive and underwater caverns int he game i would love for my dream of underwater battles (in the same vein as sky battles) to come to fruition. Where you can only use water types and certain water type attacks will be stronger or influenced in some other way. Also how cool would it be if the Sootopolis Gym used it (unlikely i know as it would require only water types being used but a guy can dream right?). I think this would definitely be the time to introduce this!

      • Exactly!! It’s not like it would make battles boring since a lot of water types have secondary types. Ludicolo and Lantern would be BOSS! (2 of my fav water types lol)

      • As much as it would be cool and i would love it as much as for there to be a water gym doing this….i doubt it would happen as it would force you to use flying/water types which may not form part of the team a player wants to use naturally.

  23. Okay. Was it just me, or was the ice puzzle in Wallace’s gym super tough to figure out? In emerald, it was simple, but it was until last year I figured out the route for Ruby and Sapphire.

    • Guess this means i may be right in thinking that since this was quite a late announcement from GF since the games come out in 6 months (usually new games are announced at least 7-8 months before release) that we may have avoided the usual 2 month information lul straight after an announcement 😀
