Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:

Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.
Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!
These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

I remember what I did in XY’s release that Saturday.
I was lining up at a “backwater” video games shop. I got there at 8:30am and I was somehow totally first in line. By the time it opened there were only 10 of us. Once I got the game, I left that location and went to a more mainstream location and paraded the game in front of the over 100 people in line. And a lot of them got totally pissed off… I just told them “hey, I lined up to get the game just like you are now…” which is kind of a half-lie…
I think i spent 4-5 hours just smelling the box XDDDD

ROTLMFAO OMG I HATE YOU FOR DOING THAT. Mine wasn’t that epic, but I did purchase it at midnight, and since the line was still long I pulled off in my Camry BLASTING the opening theme of the 1st Pokemon movie, the bass >>>> everyone was looking jamming. True pokenerd.
There’s no midnight releases in my country so I managed it. 🙂
I feel I deserved that trolling opportunity since:
1. I knew that “deserted” store existed.
2. I went “earlier” than those guys.
3. I told some of the people in the longer line about that shop (after trolling them of course), yet none of them were willing to trust me and walk about 6 blocks to that other store with no line.
Well that was nice of you. I wish my car had a sound system so I can do that haha.
Dude I was in New York City’s Nintendo Superstore from 11am to 1AM!!!!
Being surrounded by hundreds of Nerds and all of them cramming in front of the store for 5 hours when the activities started at 8
and after waiting for each group to go in for about 30-45 mins we had to walk like 3 blocks to the parking lot
and then my brother calls saying he lost his pet snake and totally kills the car ride home
and My 3DS Died before i could play it so i had to wait til the morning
WHICH WAS MY FRIGGING BIRTHDAY
omg.. that totally made me sad lmfao. I know you were PISSED
It wasn’t too sad, I mean there was this crazy scary dude decked in spikes and goth chains who hugged me when we got inside
At least the wait wasn’t too too bad (I even got pictures)
But when Matt called Mum and told us he couldn’t find shnissugah it totally bummed out the 2 hour ride home and we were totally exhausted to be mad about not playing

I don’t get why people think Groudon and Kyogre look different. They look the same to me. I think they look bigger because they really wanted them to look more badass in the remakes. Well, I mean other than the new marking on Kyogre’s forehead, it seems that they are being possessed by the orbs that Maxie and Archie used to control them. I hope they’re remakes instead of sequels. Or at least reboots, in a sense that they are sorta rewritten to work new elements such as Fairy type into them.

No need to post it again… But, I agree. Mostly Hoenn Pokemon got redos in X and Y.
Even in Black and White, the sprites of Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza all got do-overs. And they looked really nice!
They really did! Only problem with them for me was how pixely they were. Although, that’s more of Gen. 5 overall…

I just wanted to say my opinions. I really think these are remakes. Because of what is said on Pokemon.com. “A new generation of fans will experience the dramatic story of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.” Seems like they are giving younger fans a chance to experience Hoenn. 🙂
Until we know if these new thingies are Mega Evolutions or forms I propose we call them Omega Groudon and Alpha Kyogre.

And looking back…
I did something uncalled for towards a troll, which I found extremely rude and offensive. I immediately retracted myself from Pokejungle as a sign of apology and to prevent further dispute between the troll and myself.
I also thought that after everything I did, no one would like me anymore.
Then I thought about it, I looked back at my year on Pokejungle, I took a nap, and then decided that I just couldn’t leave. To leave behind my friends, and the memories.
So I came back and started fresh. We’re all humans, and we all make mistakes. Sometimes what we do isn’t what we mean. It just gets to the point that our anger builds up inside of us and takes over.
Whether or not you still decide to leave, no one here hates you. You may have gotten carried away, but we’ll still accept you back into the community. After all, we are all family. Aren’t we, guys?
So, before leaving, think about what you’re gonna miss out on. Think about those that are your friend, and those that have allowed you to have a great experience on Pokejungle.

But the Japanese logos for the original Ruby and Sapphire look the same as the ones for the remakes, further proof to me that these are remakes and not sequels! I want them to be sequels, mostly because only then they would fit in the XY timeframe.
Well, they could easily pull an HGSS. Remember, that guy at the Gate to Route 35 in the original GSC that said there was 150 Pokemon. The line was changed to say the current number of species.
But how would trading between XY and ORAS make sense? You’d be trading from around 10-15 years in the future.
