Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Announced

Pokémon has just announced that Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in November 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS. Not much more is known. Below is what the official site posted in their announcement:

Announcing Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokémon!

Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

Look forward to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire when the games launch worldwide in November 2014!

These games will be released in November world wide as confirmed by the Japanese announcement. The Japanese mini-site is kind of cool, by the way.

ps- Personally I cannot be more excited about these games. I don’t know what a heart attack feels like, but I think I had one when I saw these announced.

  1. I know everyone wants their favorite Hoenn Pokemon to receive a mega but, realistically what Megas do you think will be implemented?

  2. I confess, I never played the Hoenn games because I was only one years old at the time of it’s release. The very first Pokemon title I ever played was Platinum and Heartgold. 😀

  3. I can finally engross myself in Pokemon X and Y’s post-game story arc! Finally done with my 81 page research paper, board, and now, I just have to produce an amazing show to an audience of over 150… no pressure right?

  4. What Mega do I want? The better question is…what Mega we will get. If Mega Xatu isn’t in the game this time around, there is no excuse for GameFreak. Tate and Liza anyone?

    2013- … H… O… HOPE???

  6. If ORAS really are sequels, which I’m sure they are, do you think Game Freak will pull a B2W2, and have some gym leaders retire and replaced with new ones?

  7. Gamexplain says this is 100% likely to be a remake but not a sequel. What do you guys think? I think it’s not a sequel or remake but a new story that takes place in Hoenn (I guess that makes it a sequel).

  8. I still think “Holds Hands” will be given to Mega Plusle/Minun, reintroducing Double Battle’s in a big way.

Original Plusle/Minun introduced double battles with “Helping Hand”.

  9. I should clarify, I don’t think that remake means carbon 3D copy. We’ll definitely see some new elements.

  11. This was the best conversation of my day. Asked this Pokemon fan girl if she heard the Pokemon news, she said no, I said “Hoenn confirmed” and she screamed “YES!!!!!!!!”
