It seems like only yesterday I started the Journey to X & Y article series, when in actuality it’s fast approaching six months since I did! Admittedly the inferno of hype for X & Y has flickered down into a smouldering cinder, but that’s expected, the games are out. Many of our readers enjoyed the articles we ran last year, and we’ve decided to continue the generation weeks we failed to complete before the release of the games. They’ll be a little different however—just a title change really, but still a heap of fun!
In Roar of Time we asked our readers what they would add to older games, if they gained the ability to travel back in time and make any change or additions they wanted. This time round it’s the same deal! If you could take control of Dialga and morph time back to the early development stages of Ruby and Sapphire (or any of the other Third Generation games!), what would you change? What would you take away? What would you add?
We don’t want you to be too outrageous here, keep things realistic. You could also pick something completely obvious, but what’s the fun in that? As we said in the first article don’t forget to consider how your change or addition would have an effect on the future of Pokémon games.
Get those brains working and tell us your ideas, we’ll be featuring our favourites in the next Roar of Time (who can guess what that will focus on?)

I never used one in-game or competitively, but upon observing its ability Sand Rush and battling a few before they seem quite awesome.

just finished ev training my 6iv adamant zygarde and its ready to smash.
If I could go back and change anything in the Gen 3 games, it would be to make Wally a more potent Rival.
I really liked Wally and how you help him to catch his first Pokemon, how he sees you as an someone to look up to, but was disappointed that he only appears twice.

I know we’re doing what we would’ve changed in the old games, but in the remake/revisit what I would love to see is Gurdurr/Conkeldurr helping unload and move the furniture into your house instead of Machoke.

Foul Play and Will-o-wisp? Most fairies are specially based and the resist dark…
YEP!! And cutting their already low attack in half by burning them won’t help his Foul Play either. Sableye simply cannot stop Fairies.
I don’t think Foul Play takes into account the attack drop if the target is burned, but does if the user is burned.
I’m not sure if it does either… would think so though. My Foul Play got stronger when a Pokemon intimidated my Klefi, but thats dealing with stats though so I guess different story.

both work well to keep it in a round
Definitely. Just make sure you cleared out those annoying prioritizers (bullet punch/extremespeed) if you’re going for the focus sash.
I set up dual screens before sending it in, adds some bulk to his water/rock typing. Always get to set up.

My Galvantula loves battling Gliscor. I use Gastro Acid and it makes its Poison work against Gliscor instead of healing it XD

I can’t wait to see the Cable Car updated in XY graphics. Since HA Heatran (Flame Body) is still unreleased, maybe they can conceal it in the lava of Mt. Chimney. Also just noticed the Hidden Ability Regi’s are still unreleased (they could possibly be in the remake as well).
And Volcanion! They could be at different parts of Mt. Chimney, or in an extended Fiery Path.
