If you want to play emerald, you can always get a GBA emulator from android or your computer and get the ROM. Anyways, team magma want to awaken groudon to expand the land, and team aqua want to expand the sea by awakening kyogre. When they succeed, kyogre and groudon fight and you have to awaken rayquayza in sky pillar to calm them

i agree with you in platinum, every error got fixed and it was one of the most difficult game i have ever played in the pokemon series, after the first gym, every gym leader have a fully evolved pokemon and lets not forget cynthia she can counter every freaking type
