General Info
The contest consists of two rounds. Everyone can enter in the first round. We’ll then evaluate everyone and will send back mails to those who passed into the second round. After the second round one winner will be chosen and announced in advance of the magazine’s publication. His/her article will remain a ‘secret’ to the rest however. He’ll then have to manually mail (the paper kind) a letter we’ll send him/her granting us permission to publish the article. Stamps will be reimbursed from the ‘PJM Fund’. The winner will receive a printed copy of the magazine mailed to him by normal postage as a compensation!
Requirements
There are no hard requirements except for having a knack at good and creative writing. Your English doesn’t need to be perfect, as we’ll edit out the kinks together if you happen to win. A sense for punctuation and logically sounding sentences are a plus though. There are no age requirements, you can live anywhere you want and you don’t even need to own XY!
Round One
In round one you will have to write a short bio introducing yourself and a not-too-long article (more than five sentences but less than a full page) about anything you want as long as it is Pokémon related. Be sure to provide us with your Disqus name and an email which we can use to get back to you. Your real name and other personal details are not necessary (although keep in mind that when you win we need your home address to send the magazine to).
Round Two
Round Two details will be sent to you once you pass round one, but it’ll mainly consist of writing a two-page article you want to see featured in the magazine. I’ll have more to share once we near December.

Just email your bio and article to [email protected] with the subject “PJM February 2014 Submission #Nickname”. You have until November 24th to submit articles, which is quite enough time so take your time in writing! Expect a post on the contest the 25th and I’ll regularly remind everyone of the contest in my new posts.

I am the Pokémon Warrior. My journey has been going on for at least fifteen years now, since the dawn of my fifth birthday when I received that fateful Charmander from Professor Oak. I have travelled across many lands, searching far and wide for these mysterious creatures called Pokémon. I have been to many far and strange lands ranging from the Kanto region to Orre, and many others, but I have now arrived in Kalos. As I start my journey anew once again, I hold tightly to myself the memories that my dear pokéfriends have gone through with me throughout all my journeys. Now, I have begun to settle down and rest in the middle of a great jungle with many different and new allies that I have now found. I now stand up to catch’em all once and for all, finally so that my journey can end and I may rest.

Hello! My name is Agustin And I’m 13. I always loved Pokemon when I was eight I got my first Pokemon cards. I soon got in love with the series. Charzard, gyrados,and infernape were my favorite pokemons. I layed back from Pokemon until I was eleven in witch I bought Pokemon white. (Favorite pokemon is Lucario.)

Hello poke fans of earth from a trainer very alike to you.
Once again, hello, I’m Ithsme and I’m 12 years old. What is my role in the Pokémon
world you may ask? While I’ve only been into Pokémon a short time, 4 years as
of last august, I know more than you may think. I first got into the Pokémon
books series, based on the anime, not the manga series many of you may know.
Then I watched the anime, and got my first Pokémon game, diamond, for my birthday
in august. I didn’t know much then and ended up deciding to restart my game
because I got lost in wayward cave. Only one problem, I didn’t even know how to
restart. And I only trained one Pokémon, my torterra. I was a novice them, but
I became much more educated in 4 years, without even going to a single trainers
school. I joined pokejungle in September when the Pokémon x and y leaks started
happening, and I have yet to have a negative experience there. I thought they were the only people who understood Pokémon
like I did. I do competitive battling and shiny hunting, but not both at the
same time, because as you know, with the shiny ratio of 1/8192, it is hard to
get a shiny with good stats. I’ve never entered a tournament, but I plan to
soon. Me and my friend are gonna do a Pokémon x and y Wi-Fi battle YouTube
channel, but it’s still a work in progress and not made yet. To this day my
favorite pokemon are gengar, gardevoir, and heloptile. I have a shiny helioptile,
but the search continues for the others. I’d love to share some of my knowledge
with you and I hope you continue pokemon till the end! Hello poke fans of

Hello, I am GoomyForever. I have been a Pokemon Trainer since my 8th birthday, when I got a Gamecube and Pokemon Colosseum.I have bought almost every game since. In the games, my main interests are: A. Making a team of all my favorite Pokemon, and B. Having as much fun as possible. In X&Y, I have been abusing Wonder Trade since day one, even getting a level 50 Ursaring for a Bunnelby and putting it in the GTS in exchange for a Haunter, who evolved into Gengar, and Single-Handedly beat the Elite 4. My favorite Pokemon is a tie between Goomy, Gengar, and Reuniclus. I have an interest in the cards, too going to many prereleases, and making it to the State Chamionships.
