When Mega Evolutions were revealed a couple of months back, fans were taken totally by surprise wondering what exactly we were being shown. Now that we understand just what Mega Evolutions are, we’re all guessing what Pokémon could be one of the select few to receive a Mega Evolution.
A while ago our close friend AAPF began researching trademark filings for Pokémon names. This research has previously uncovered Pokémon that have since received Mega Evolutions, and it seems highly likely that more Pokémon from this list will receive a Mega Evolution.
The following Pokémon have all had trademark registrations made for their names since the release of Black 2 & White 2, following the trend of other Pokémon with their names trademarked again there is a possibility these Pokémon will receive Mega Evolutions. Pokémon with a * next to their name have recently been confirmed.

Megas are Kalos exclusive. Unless gen 7 is in Kalos, we won’t be getting megas, fortunately! I want normal evolutions, to hell with megas.
You really shouldn’t be quick think that they won’t find some way to keep Megas, they are dedicating an entire generation to it, they’ve never take away form changes, and it’s been reported already the item to change the Kami trio from Gen V, the item that allows them to change forms has been discovered, and plus, in other Pokemon Media they had a Mega Evolution happen in Kanto. And if we get the RS Remakes/Sequels we think we will, they WILL be in those games as well, because they are in the same Generation.
I know. :/ I was just wishing for it (because it was stated before that megalutions only happen in Kalos). I really dislike the megalutions concept. They should just create new normal evolutions (or prevolutions) for older Pokémon or new Pokémon altogether… Why spend time and resources on Pokémon that already have three stages or that could just get a normal evolution (like Mawile…).

We might be able to catch just about everything based on what this weird Safari Zone mode is, it seems to randomly generate Pokemon to some extent, so it’s possible the Pokemon not in the Kalos dex will be catchable through it.

I’m undoubtedly disappointed, but the games look AMAZING and I love so many of the new pokemon, and since I haven’t even played them yet I don’t have any right to complain lol.

I think, Clawitzer is awesome, but I really agree gamefreak could have made the type more interesting. How hard would it have been just to give it a red or yellow paint job and make it water-fire or water-electric?
