When Mega Evolutions were revealed a couple of months back, fans were taken totally by surprise wondering what exactly we were being shown. Now that we understand just what Mega Evolutions are, we’re all guessing what Pokémon could be one of the select few to receive a Mega Evolution.
A while ago our close friend AAPF began researching trademark filings for Pokémon names. This research has previously uncovered Pokémon that have since received Mega Evolutions, and it seems highly likely that more Pokémon from this list will receive a Mega Evolution.
The following Pokémon have all had trademark registrations made for their names since the release of Black 2 & White 2, following the trend of other Pokémon with their names trademarked again there is a possibility these Pokémon will receive Mega Evolutions. Pokémon with a * next to their name have recently been confirmed.

Since i’m a creative guy I like to do little backstories for each Pokemon Caught and evolve

Chespin (plucky starter, loves to explore, strong willed)
Pancham (scrappy fighter that picks on smaller PKM, picks fights it cant finish
Bunnleby (fight started by Pan, caught it due to speed and power)
Tyrunt (fossil revived from Team Flare, Acts like a brat and bites everything)
Binicle (disturbed a colony, leader evolved and rampaged, caught it to protect team)

I’m happy for the leaks because I may only play the game by Christmas so I would be spoiled anyways (now or after the realease…) as such, the sooner, the better. I feel sorry and guilty, though… :/ Poor Masuda.
Look at the bright side at least he sees our happy reactions early. After Oct 12 he will be happy again
Since he released 42 of the only 69 new pokemon available before the release, I have little simpathy for him in this respect. I will see his face if I manage to get my game signed on the 12th though (he’s doing signings at the local store).

Joe Merrick (webmaster of serebii) speculated that in the future it might be same month release. Japan gets the game first and review copies go out also. Then a couple weeks later the rest of the world gets the game.

What nature Charmander do you want btw?
Aww you don’t have to go through that trouble! I’ll go through it because your doing enough already as it is! What nature best suits a Charizard X? I saw it is stronger in a attack.
I always soft-reset for natures when I can lol. It’s no biggie at all. And for Mega Charizard X, Adamant (Up Attack, Down Special Attack) or Jolly (Up Speed, Down Special Attack) is best.
I think Jolly is better because what if there is a stealth rock user? It can also attack first most of time. You already have enough on your shoulders resetting the game 4 times, getting to Lumiose, battling the professor, etc. I would use my own Charmander that I was given by the professor because it seems more special that way 🙂 What would you like in return? Maybe a Spritzee or Skrelp?

So a thought on the current lack of legendaries/postgame content
In the past, some of the methods for unlocking certain areas were either time consuming or just plain oblique. For a recent example, consider the Nature Preserve in B/W2, which required you to see every pokémon in the regional ‘dex. No leaker has managed that so far, so who knows what that might unlock.
As far as actual pokémon are concerned, do you remember how insanely weird the conditions for unlocking the Regis in R/S were? Or finding Spiritomb? And until the code is hacked and we can see EVERYTHING hidden in there, we’ve got no idea how many secret or event Pokémon are in there that we don’t know about yet.
There will be more to come. There’s a lot of pessimists out there right now, but there will be more. If nothing else, we’ve NEVER not had a region with a trio and a pixie.

What about Kanto? If you are saying the last part, it had a Trio and a Pixie, that Trio was the Legendary Birds and the pixie was Mew.

Eh, there’s plenty of first entry weirdness in Kanto. It didn’t have a theme between the games either, unless you count the slightly wooly “something to do with genetics” that some people claim because of Mewtwo.
I still think anything more than three to four legendaries is pushing it.
I’ve heard that the trio for this region is the legendary birds – has this been confirmed or debunked yet?
No pics yet. Even if they are there, it wouldn’t be the first time we’ve had previous gen legendaries in the game. Latias/os have been catchable in a number of games, the legendary birds and Mewtwo were in HG/SS, as were the Hoenn box legendaries. And the Regis and Cresselia were in B/W2, IIRC.
Plenty of precedent for older legendaries in newer games, no precedent for a lack of regional trio.
I honestly wouldn’t mind them roaming in the game as a bonus, I’d just be a little sad if we didn’t get a *new* legendary trio. It’s kind of become tradition! 🙂
Didn’t they already do that for platinum? They better make a legendary for them (example: regigigas was made for the regis) so they will have more of a story. But that is probably impossible.

Dragalge is a poison type. Fairy does neutral damage to it.
so, thoughts on Kecleon probably getting a mega evo, he was pretty overshadowed in Gen3 but this might make me want to catch one this time around (he was so dopey and cute too)
It is gimmick. If it gets one, so will ditto and castform.

thanks to science, N3DS can download updates for their games and there is a huge possibility that we may eventually have new Pokemon by this method. If this is true, it is a great marketing strategy and insurance against piracy.

We all do. Normal sucks so much, it might as well be forgotten. The only good thing about it is that it is immune to Ghost.

Indeed! That and the nice STAB that moves like Return will get early in game 🙂
Which is now more useful, because the only thing that resists Ghost now is Dark, so only Dark and Normal can be used to Counter Ghost Attacks. Keep that in mind. Steel no longer can be switched in to eat Shadow Balls.
That works. Oh I just thought of something. If there’s a Normal/Ghost, it’s only weakness is dark!
I think I know why Steel no longer resists Ghost. Aside from it having a ton of resistances anyways, in this way, it buffs normal types or half normal types, who now have a very key role in being immune to Ghosts.
Ahhh. Maybe that was GF’s intention the whole time.

They did a pretty shit job designing this one. Her (his wtf ever) dress is way too high so she looks fat. They didn’t make any real changes or improvements. She’s suppose to be very graceful…poofy dresses are not graceful. I would have even accepted a train and lovely evening gown and a crown but this looks stupid.
