I’m still pretty confident X and Y will get one. I think that Gates to Infinity got one because, other than Rumble Blast, it was the first anticipated Pokemon game for the 3DS, so I think X and Y will get one because of the same reason. I’m kind of sad, it appears the death of old school Pokémon cries is on the horizon. I would have preferred they keep the animé cries in the extra modes and side-series, but that’s progress, I suppose.
OK, where is everyone getting all this stuff about the cries being replaced with anime cries?
Masuda said Pikachu will now use its animé cry in place of the original one.
they said they were going to make the cries sound more natural with pikachu being the ONLY exception back at e3 Q&A

No idea. I think only PIKACHU is changing, because also one thing, everyone does realize a majority of the Pokemon have COMPLETELY different names right? That would be a lot of soundbytes they’d have to record. A LOT. Pikachu, however, has the same name, and it saying Pikachu is recognizable, and has HAPPENED in game before *pokemon Yellow* I think they are just updating otherwise the archaic sounds they’ve been using for older gen Pokemon.
