Event Reminder

  • The Year of Legendary Pokémon has begun! From now until February 28th you can head to local stores to pick up a serial code and download Dialga and Palkia to your Pokémon Sun & Moon, and Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon games! These event ‘mon come at Level 60 in SM, and Level 100 in USUM while holding a Bottle Cap. Check out the full list of distribution locations:
    • US & Ireland – Gamestop until February 28th
    • Australia & Canada – EBGames until February 28th
    • UK – GAME until February 28th
    • Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Norway, Sweden – Gamestop until February 23rd

Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon

  • The Ultra Sinnoh Classic competition has been officially announced! This Single Battle competition raises competing Pokémon levels to 50, and allows you to only use Pokémon in the Sinnoh Pokédex. Alola Forms, Mega Stones, Z-Crystals, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin and Arceus are all banned. Registration runs from February 15th to February 22nd while the battles take place from February 23rd through the 25th. All participants will receive 50 Battle Points as a gift

Pokkén Tournament DX

  • The latest update for Pokkén Tournament DX is now live! This patch adds the first wave of Downloadable Content Including the playable fighter Aegislash, Support Pokémon Mimikyu & Mega Rayquaza, new clothing items for your Avatar, and a new outfit for Nia. The patch also includes several fixes and additions to the game including Video Capture. have come to the game including Video Capture

3DS Themes

  • Following their release in Japan last week, the two Team Plasma 3DS themes featuring important characters from Black & White, and Black 2 & White 2 are now available for purchase in the US

Trading Card Game

  • This week marked the release of the latest Pokémon Sun & Moon TCG set! Made up of the GX Battle Boost and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon sets from Japan, this release contains 173 cards of various Pokemon from the Sinnoh Region, as well as Necrozma.

Pokémon Duel

  • Pokémon Duel version 5.0.8 is now available for download! Requiring 247MB of space contains several balance updates, new figures and Plates to the game:
    • Keldeo – Removed Dodge and added new attack, Water Jump, which moves the Pokémon two steps away and gains Wait
    • Hariyama – Changed Slap Push to Heavy Slam, increased wheel size of Push Away, decreased wheel size of Miss
    • Drowzee – Increased wheel size of Hypnosis and Confusion, decreased wheel size of Miss
    • New UX Figures – Buzzole, Pheromosa, & Mega Gallade

  1. I’ve opened a bunch of the Ultra Prism expansion and the art is baller. It doesn’t even matter if you get anything “good” the art is all you need. haha Also really want to get my hands on that Poipole figure. I wish the Pokemon Center had the Tomy figures since they have all the plushes, but oh well I’ll have to keep an eye out on Amazon.

          • Tbh what could they have done in a remake though? I guess remove wild surfing encounters would’ve helped. Made all encounters exclusive to the underwater diving grass/fishing.

          • umm… alot? It’s a remake. They are re-making a game. That mean making something again and doing something new.

            But I guess remake just means “new graphics” to gamefreak

          • Yes, but I’m asking you personally what they could’ve done to improve the water routes. Removing wild encounters is all I’ve got.

          • Honey if wind waker can make a whole game around exploring the ocean so can pokemon.

            Add more variety in each route, maybe more islands, maybe boats floating on the water with trainers or NPC’s, design them like any other route.

          • Tbh Wind Waker really struggled with making sailing interesting too, though I love the game. I think more islands/boats does sound like it would’ve been good.

          • Because it is still a better experience than both. The additions to Emerald alone set it higher than RS and ORAS.

            Emerald doesn’t waste your time with story that you don’t care about. ORAS added so much unnecessary cutscenes and dialogue for a simple story that never made sense in the first place.

            The difficulty curve is ruined in ORAS with the EXP share

          • I was comparing it more to RS

            The thing that truely sinks it for me, Rayquaza is pointless. In RS you catch the beast that is raging to qwell its power, in Emerald you just walk up a tower and it immediately flys away shows a cut scene and boom world is saved

            No fighting, no reason to really go up there except to make it come to its senses and help

            I would be satisfied even if you battled it without the ability to catch it just to test if you were worthy of its help, only thing the game did was boost the difficulty and the post game

          • Don’t get me wrong I still would pick Emerald over RS just you’d think a Godly deity would be able to notice its angry younger Brothers are in a fight again

          • Well clearly it fuckin didn’t or there would be no climax

            Plus I think waking up Rayquaza for it to stop them is a much better story point than wasting time battling Rayquaza first.

            It’s at least sort of original

    • List is good except I would at least put D/P above X&Y. They had way more redeeming qualities if we’re factoring in day and age of the games.

            -your time is wasted by the ultra recon squad, pointless characters with no personality that have zero impact on the plot. They aren’t even equipped to fight Ultra Beasts at all. They don’t understand battling and have nothing but a Poipole and a Furfrou.
            – Character motivations are entirely screwed up. Lusamine’s motivation is changed from insanity trying to get to Nihiligo spurred by her past to trying to get involved with Necrozma which has nothing to do with her or her organization. She still acts insane and evil despite her apparently being a good character. She is also still associating with Team Skull which now makes LESS sense.
            – The climax is incredibly rushed
            – Necrozma as a threat is never felt. There is one small moment where it gets dark for a moment and nothing else. Theres never a time an entire town loses light or whatever. It just appears at the altar of the moon
            – Lillie is ruined. She has no character arc and no development. She’s boring.
            – Over all, they slapped on a new third act without properly changing the first and second to support it.

      • They made the story more of a mess, so no. Almost all of the additions are half assed (Malie Gym, Recon Squad, Ultra Megalopolis, pikachu valley, interacting with pokemon..) Didn’t fix glaring issues of SM like trainers facial expressions, the excessive use of cut scenes. It did some things right, granted, but not as a remake.

  16. I’ve been doing some thinking about how cool it would be to get a 3D Donkey Kong game with the design elements of Odyssey. You could play as DK in an overgrown Mushroom Kingdom (or multiple kingdoms again) after some kind of spores make everyone fall asleep and then when DK wakes up, an infected Mario becomes the main boss. This would harken back to the original DK days where Mario was the enemy. You could use the Joy-con like the Wiimote and Nunchuk in Jungle Beat and Country Returns, swing across vines, find collectibles, stuff like that. It would be AWESOME. Maybe the Mario team could make a game like this as a followup to Odyssey rather than a direct sequel? The more I think about this idea the more I love it, so imagine what the professionals could do.

  20. The more I think about it….

    The plot of Black and White isn’t actually good. It has good characters, but its underlying message is confused and nonsensical.

    Pokémon should never be story driven. They can write a decent one, but they can’t figure out how to make it work with the gameplay which makes it worse.

    BW at least didn’t push it in your face most of the time

    • Black And white’s plot isn’t mind blowingly good like People make it out to be, it’s good because for pokemon it works
      A team that actually questions humans using pokemon as tools, and the end message that not everything is as simple as good or bad, plus how like you said the story flowed naturally rather than a million cutscenes with 50 halfassed subplots

      • Well sure but… usually in these types of stories where there are opposing points of view, the viewer is meant to leave the experience with their own conclusion? But Team Plasma does so many obviously evil things and Ghetsis is such a one-dimensional bad guy that there is no debate. Hell, N basically spells out what your conclusion should be

      • It made me feel bad for playing it.

        Especially when I had a Tranquill I hated named “SLAVE BIRD” solely for HM Fly, and was in this conversation from N:

        “Hey, SLAVE BIRD. Would you tell me what kind of Trainer Panties is?”
        “OK, OK, got it. So Panties was born in Nuvema Town, lives with Mom, and was given the Pokédex to start off a journey to see the world. Still, this SLAVE BIRD trusts you for some reason. That’s good! If every person and Pokémon cared about one another like you two do, I could watch over the future of people and Pokémon without having to liberate Pokémon from people who just use them.”

        I felt really bad. I think I later freed SLAVE BIRD.

    • someone once said that Pokemon always was a JRPG inside, now it’s just becoming more and more like the usual JRPGs. You can’t expect a JRPG to really not be story driven.

      • Exactly! I’ve never even attempted soft-resetting for a legendary (or anything for that matter) because I just lack patience, but I figure that shiny Celebi is a once-in-a-lifetime chance that I refuse to pass up! It’ll be a good lesson in patience for me, as well as a way to kick-start some real shiny hunting!

    i’m trying to revitalize my love for wow but all i can really do that i should do is level my priest and druid to the cap of level 110 (Which they are 100 and 104) but they are my least favorite classes thus making it feel like a chore

    so i make a brand new shiny slack jawed orc under the appropriate sounding name “Crugg”

  50. So I’m not watching the game but The Cloverfield Paradox is coming to Netflix TONIGHT?!?!?! This is the Breath of the Wild DLC situation all over again! I love Cloverfield and 10 Cloverfield Lane so this is incredibly exciting to me. Now it all makes sense why they never revealed any information…they’re Direct Mini’ing it up.

  56. Can I just say that I can’t wait for Jurassic world fallen kingdom! I love how it appears they are going back to the horror vibe of the first movie! There’s already a few movies I want to see this year. Black panther, avengers, Jurassic world, fantastic beasts and incredibles 2(took you long enough Pixar) to name a few!

          • I kind of get what you mean. A lot of movies are very similar now. Especially when it comes to horror movies. I have seen so many horror movies I can see the deaths coming a mile away in most cases lol

          • I will say in the case of Jurassic world I am probably main excited because of Nostalgia. I remember years ago seeing the first one. I also remember being scared because of it. Still loved dinosaurs but was afraid of them coming to eat me lol anyways the fact that this movie seems to be going back to the horror tone that the first had has me really excited!

          • La La Land is really good. I mean at the core the story is just good. But the music is pretty nice and the cinematography is just gorgeous..Beautiful shots and colors everywhere. Whoever made it clearly has a love for the camera and movie making

          • I may watch it later. Only reason I didn’t see it last year was because i thought it was a romance movie and since I was going through a break up I didn’t want to see anything invovling romance(as dumb as it sounds)

      • I think it has to do with Solo making the Kessel Run. So that might involve freeing the wookies there that were slaves in the spice mines. I’m guessing that’s where Chewie was.Or perhaps Chewie pays Han to help him smuggle wookies out, idk.

          • It has potential to be quite emotional. I ultimately hope it’s a nice story for Chewie, he’s never been given enough material to chew on.

          • Idk, I kinda like it. It adds world building that the new canon hasn’t explored. Wookies were randomly featured in episode 3 by Lucas to sell toys and sh*t, but between then and A New Hope it doesn’t make sense that they weren’t a part of the rebellion. They’re an extremely intelligent species that’s highly gifted with engineering and they were allied with the Republic and the Jedi. So where did they go? In the old canon almost all of them were enslaved. I believe they were charged with physically building the death star among other things.

            I mean if you’re gonna shove Wookies in there for toys at least make it important rather than having a random battle on Kashyyyk just to put Chewie in there and give him an unnecessary relationship with Yoda.

          • Idk dude I can’t imagine this movie being anything more than acceptable and forgettable.

            I just feel like the main Rey storyline is way better than them trying to make spin offs.

          • Well that’s the thing. If you aren’t interested in the rest of the world and don’t like side stories then you’re by no means obligated to see them. The main things I’m interested in with the Sequel Trilogy is The Knights of Ren that they established and then dropped and Phasma, who they seemingly killed again. I’m looking forward to the Obi Wan movie though…hopefully it’s not something ridiculously out of canon.

  64. Why did they screw up Marshadow’s role in I choose you so much… I know people that HATE marshadow because they didn’t explain anything about it in the movie. Marshadow just rubs off as a evil monster and that hurts me

    • Also the fact that they hurt Marshadows reputation by including it might of been the reason why we never saw Ash vs Ho-Oh. They shoved marshadow in last minute and advertised him as “cool and strong” but ended up failing.

    • I’m not really pissed, just extremely confused about what the hell Marshadow even was doing in the movie. I haven’t seen it yet, but after reading the plot online, he seemed like he was basically a Doomsday and was there for a “final fight”.

  109. There’s one interesting thing about UBs intended for Switch: Game Freak has not started developping Pokemon for Switch in march 2017. I’ve always thought that was obvious but if that’s true than I’m quite sure Masuda left sun and moon to Ohmori to start Pokemon for Switch.

    • IDK man, I swear I read an interview where it described the team being split in half (one half containing mainly new staff and the other returning veterans) and the new staff one worked on SM while the returning veterans dedicated their time to switch.

      • That was for USUM. The young team did UsUm while the old team did Switch. I remember when Ohmori said that he had to create the trials himself for s/m because he had no programmers available. Imo it’s obvious they didn’t start Switch versions last years, they usually begin developping a new generation when the first titles of a generation are out. For example, they started s/m when some of they were doing x/y (see the strange souvenir). Now people that take 3 to 4 years to make a game on a console they already know will create and release two games for a new console that has titles like BOTW and SM Odissey in less then 2 years (cause the games will be released before April 2019 if they want to sell those 20 milions switch, even experts agree on this)? Not the case for me…

    • Not true. the filler was a bit lame, but the anime on the whole was good. It’s just that the manga went a little long in the tooth at times so obviously the show would too. The first few seasons of Bleach are great. Then it’s a little hit or miss. Really hope they come back to cover the final arc of the manga. Was a shame they ended the anime where they did…..

    First when I was at art class I saw my old drawings from when I had exxential depression and I was pretty sad until All star started playing. I cheered up and the moral of the story is that no matter how hard life knocks you down, there’s always something to look forward to.

    Secondly Zeraora. WHY?!? There is literally NO reason for it to exist! It is litearally a Sonic Oc pokefied! There is nothing for it except “lel it go fast”. Wait! iTS LITERALLY SONICHU I CANT GET IT OUTTA MY HEAD!!!

          • Um…..I’m not totally sure….I don’t remember that guy. Either way yeah no I don’t think he ever said they would be the starters. He was tweeting about some stuff that lead people to believe he had info on the new game and then tweeted with those animals and everyone jumped on it saying that they’d be the starters. It makes sense, but at the end of the day he didn’t say anything himself. They could very well be the starters tho. We shall see.

    • Still not so sure. Unless the VERY unlikely event happens where Zeraora is actually a gen 8 Pokemon I can’t see it happening. I don’t see them revealing a gen 7 mythical and then immediately revealing the Switch game. If Zeraora was revealed in Decemeber I’d be all on board, but not now. I’d say March is a better bet for an announcement. I could be wrong tho

          • Again that doesn’t make any sense. You can’t have it both ways. First of all if Zeraora doesn’t get revealed until November then that means there’s no way the Switch game will get revealed any time soon. Second Zeraora won’t have anything to do with the Legendary event going on because those are all version exclusive mons. Zeraora is a mythical no matter how you slice it. It’ll get it’s own event independent from the monthly events.

    >New Super Mario All-Stars
    A holiday 2018 release. Remake / remaster of all four NSMB games with DLC from the 3DS / Wii U games added. Will also tie in with the mobile game (pic related) and add content from that, like more playable characters and the Toad Rally mode.
    >Metroid Prime 4: Rivals
    Releasing sometime in 2019. Classic Prime first-person gameplay, will have both a campaign and an extensive multiplayer mode. Will focus on the backstory of Sylux, and the morality of the Galactic Federation. The multiplayer mode features multiple playable hunters / marines to play as, bringing in elements from Echoes / Hunters / Federation Force. Expect that to receive continual updates with new maps / modes. Prime 4: Rivals will be Nintendo’s premiere competitive FPS, and they will push it hard.
    >Metroid Prime Trilogy
    The first three games remastered. Echoes’ multiplayer is removed, while new features are added like traditional controls and amiibo support. Probably releasing in fall 2018.
    >Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch
    Nintendo’s big hitter for holiday 2018. Based off the Wii U edition with stages / modes / trophies from the 3DS edition added. Smash Run / Smash Tour get online multiplayer, new Smash Run enemies, and Break the Targets is brought back, with individual maps for each character. All DLC is present except for the Miiverse stage. New characters are Ice Climbers, Solid Snake, the Inklings, and Geno, each with their own stage. Smash Switch will be supported for a few years, with multiple DLC seasons planned, including characters, stages, and Mii costumes.

    Some more tidbits are Animal Crossing and Pokemon in 2019 and Yoshi’s Flip Side in the summer. This person could be completely false but this goes in line with other rumors about this year being very port-focused from Nintendo. I believe it personally. Zeraora is most likely a 7th gen pokemon just don’t forget that M Latios and M Latias were coded in x/y but were only available in ORAS (they could only be tranferred), Thousand Arrows and Thousaund Waves were both coded in x/y and ORAS but only available in S/M and AZ Floette was coded in both 6th and 7th gen and…where the hell is AZ Floette?

    • It is 7th Gen. Those Megas aren’t separate Pokemon so do not count in the same way, same with the moves, ORAS is also still Gen 6so the Megas still don’t change generation before release. We had an article asking where AZ Floette is and most seem to think they just didn’t bother releasing it I think.

  170. Everyone is always going on about how GF removes mechanics every time we jump to a new gen. To this I say there’s one mechanic we’ll never get totally rid of. That’s Amie/Refresh. they’ll never be able to get rid of it because they made it necessary for obtaining Sylveon. At least we know it’ll likely continue to be around lol Also if that Pixelpar guy is right about the Switch game using the Switchs touch screen abilities I can almost guarantee that Refresh will be back in some way and use that feature. Otherwise what would be the point of the touch screen?

        • I’m just saying they can if they really want to get rid of the mechanic. Fan games that don’t have the mechanic but do have Sylveon have to do it. Similarly they might eventually get bored of having to put the Rocks in each game for Glaceon/Leafeon, though they should probably have done that with the introduction of the Ice Stone, but I guess they still want to show off the location evolution method with them.

    • The whole point of Eevee is to shill evolution methods.

      Gen 1: Evolution was introduced this Gen, so either no gimmick or the gimmick is Eevee is the only branch evo in Gen 1(?) and thus Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon.

      Gen 2: Time and happiness are added, both of which factor into Espeon and Umbreon’s evolutions.

      Gen 4: Location based evolutions are added, along with a bunch of other methods (evolution with move, evolution with item + trade, etc). Leafeon and Glaceon are location based evolutions.

      Gen 6: Affection is added, as is the Fairy-type. Sylveon covers both of these new features (primarily Affection, the Fairy-type move level up is to make it so other Eevee can have affection and evolve into its other Eevos).

    • No, because Ice is actually a very good offensive type (which is why Dragons were non existent early game before Gen 7 as well, same with Steel before they started throwing Magnemite early in Gen 5/7 and Honedege in Gen 6). The issue is they come in far too late (later than Dragon and Steel, both of which are objectively better).

  175. Speaking of Eevee, I hope we get some more evolution methods expanded. Gens 5 & 6 really stuck to trade, stone, and level-up (+ level up with happiness and level up with time) whereas Gen 7 had like no trade or stone evos outside of Alolans.

    The Icy Rock and Mossy Rock defo need expansion. Magnetic areas already evolve three Pokemon. The Icy Rock will probably evolve Crabrawler in regions where there aren’t snowy mountains (but nearly every region has one, with Hoenn and Kalos being outliers if we count Mt. Silver for Kanto and Johto), but the Mossy Rock is kiiiinda useless.

    Like, trade evos with specific items are fine because it means they don’t have to constantly throw that item at you (King’s Rock and Metal Coat can be very annoying for dex completion) but the Mossy Rock is an unlimited resource.

  176. I’ll post something about my fakemon region champion soon. He’s “The Slavy Royal Guardian” chosen by the protector of the region, the third legendary Lechodło (pronounced Le-chod-woh).

    He’s based on a real person, Lech Wałęsa, former president of Poland and one of the most important people in Fall of communism in Poland. Lech Wałęsa, while he did a lot for Polish freedom from the Soviet Union, isn’t a perfect person (he’s very anti-gay and abortion and there were some controversies about what he did in the past) so I’m taking a lot of Liberties with the character I’m creating.

The problem with that tho is that I gave my laptop to my brother for college, and the only computer that I could use for emulation is at my dad’s house, but I can’t bring the computer back and forth between houses. Could try emulation on my iPad, but usually the emulating app doesn’t work after a week.

  213. Ok, I just found out about this anime (for kids) that aired back in the early 2000s called Popee the Performer. From what I heard, it’s pretty gruesome. The characters die multiple times throughout the series in pretty dark ways. I haven’t seen them all, but one I did see is where the titular character and one of the other main characters, Kedamono, get impaled by Popee trying to perform a sword swallowing trick. Popee has blood running down his face too, so there’s that. This is for kids. Granted, death isn’t exactly a new thing for anime for children, I mean, just look at Dragon Ball, but holy crap, I just don’t know what to say about this. I just felt like I needed to share this because I’m sick like that and guess I wanna just see reactions to this stuff

    With your favorite Pokémon, pick out an ideal move set you would have on it. And, with the moves, describe how the Pokémon would use it in battle or techniques it could do with it. For example, my favorite is (obviously) Flygon, so:

    Earthquake- Flygon either smashes its one/two arm(s) into the ground, generating a massive shock wave into the earth, or, smashes its arm into an opponent, sending them flying and the impact of the crash creates an earthquake. This is either used as a finishing move or to devastate the battlefield/disrupt an enemy’s attack

    Dragon Rush- A violet blue aura builds up around Flygon that eventually materializes into primal energy surrounding its body. Flygon then tackles the opponent with the nervy at fast speeds during flight. Flygon can also use this move to act somewhat as a shield against special attacks when in flight.

    Fire Punch- Flygon swirls up thermal energy in its hands that eventually materializes into fire. It then smashes its fist into the opponent at high speeds. Flygon normally uses this move when in hand-to-hand combat with another mon.

    Boomburst- As the Pokédex describes its wings capable of creating sound waves with its wings, Flygon utilizes them in battle with Boomburst by flapping its wings to charge up sound waves and then slams its wings together, triggering a massive blast of sound at the opponent. Additionally, Flygon can use these in flight by building up sound waves and releasing them in one massive flap, making it greatly accelerate for a brief period.

      Megahorn: Rhyperior’s main horn glows light green and it extends 3 times its length (he does the Dawn piplup thing and stores energy) and he either gores the opponent or executes a series of slashes ((*Important* Rhyperior often combines Megahorn and Drill Run to create a Megahorn Tipped Drill Run aka Mega Drill Run where the attack power increases dramatically)

      Metal Burst: Rhyperior’s trump card, after taking heavy damage (his solid rock negates common 4x weaknesses) his body envelops in silvery white energy with a angry glare as red cracks form around his body and finally he explodes the energy sending the energized fragments in all directions causing tenfold damage he took, the fragments explode on impact

            This attack is do or die, he unleashes the fullest power of Rock Slide to stun the opponents as he dives deep into the ground only to shoot straight up like a missile high into the air, as he falls down he builds speed with Aerial Ace, his outstretched claws then gleam with power from Metal Claw and finally he adds the corkscrew motion of Drill Run! he drives down with the power of a spinning heat seeking torpedo and swiftly blitzes the opponent with quick grazing strikes left and right and finally as he builds up speed for the final strike he dives straight into the opponent but disassembles himself out of drill form and the torrential momentum is trailing his claw as he strikes with full force!

            this drains every ounce of energy out of Excadrill, HP PP everything but dealing impossible damage

          • because not to discourage it Flygon just does not have the arms for defined punching attacks you’d be better off with Flamethrower

      Avalanche: Remember when Pansage used Rock Slide in the Anime? Yeah it’s that just with Icy rocks instead

      Poison Jab: it coats in claw in venom that is just in its body and runs up and jabs

      Metal Claw… (Yes almost every Weavile I use in game has this move on it): Its claw turns into metal and it slashes them

      Aura Sphere:It forms a sphere of aura (as if that wasn’t implied), then launches it at the opponent, or holding it place, while striking it with the bone it can form like a baseball.

      Power-Up Punch:It’s paw is engulfed in energy, going for a hard strike, increasing it’s power in the process.

      Close Combat:It gets up close to it’s opponent, unleashing a flurry of punches and kicks

      And for a flashy finisher like Earthen brought up:
      Max Aura Flash:
      It Mega Evolves and unleashes a barrage of kicks, punches, and strikes from Bone Rush on the opponent. To finish things off, it charges up it’s aura, and unleashes a huge beam of it from it’s paws.

I don’t want to get too far into the game without getting one as then I’ll have to backtrack and grind a ton more than I’d like to get it up to speed.   228. All this talk about flashy finishers reminds me of one I was coming up with for my character. Well, it involves the main 5, but mainly my character. (The name is still a work in progress) The Rainbow Aura Blast:As a last resort against the villain I still haven’t gotten a name for, Alex reverts back to his human form and prepares for one final blast. His power alone isn’t enough to beat the near godlike foe. The other 4 follow him by reverting back to their human forms and grabbing onto Alex, transferring their power to him. He starts to charge up for the blast, while the others continue to transfer their energy. Once he feels he has enough, he fires a huge beam of rainbow aura towards his foe. However, *insert villain name here* blocks it with ease, only using one hand. The 5 give more power to the blast, they aren’t going to give up, not after everything they’ve been through. They start to charge up their energy even more. They use all of their energy from their Pokemon forms and feed it into the blast. Finally, Alex powers up to his Aura Burst form (Also a work in progress name), and their foe finally gives into the blast, ultimately being destroyed by it

      • No, but compared to the game prior and even as a standalone it’s not very good. Technically, the game has great features such as super training, chain fishing, PSS and etc…but other than that, the game is very mediocre. The boss battles are a joke, compared to the roster of over 100 Pokemon in gen 5, gen 6 barely delivers, and compared to the story in BW, it’s awful.

      Some advice that I can give to you is, if all this is going on, I’d just start taking walks after school. Like after you get home, just take some peaceful strolls around your neighborhood, or, if your neighborhood’s got a park, walk around there. Typically, I just let go of anything that bothers me and instead think about creative thoughts, like some Fakemon thoughts or just reflect on accomplishments that I’ve been able to do today. That’s what I do whenever something bothers me, and it really helps out dude.

He also is serious normally, but when he’s around his other teammates, he relaxes a bit. Curry also highly respects Eric (Metagross) and Sandstorm (Flygon), as they helped save his life when he got trapped in one of Whirl Island’s whirlpools for hours. A surprising trait about Curry is that he is incredible gluttonous, which is due to all the calories he burns off in Swift Swim.

        Alolan Exeggutor (but the Dragon Palm gives insight)

  312. I hate when pokemon battles are used as a time waster. Fighting the team skull grunts at Poni island with level 45 ekans is just ridiculous. They’re there to ask for you to help Guzma, but hinder your progress? Why? It’s not even like they’re giving good exp. from these battles either.

    Gamefreak needs to learn how to make use of every second that they want to stop the trainer. Make it worthwhile everytime.

They were snobby, boring, and dull characters who their “professional Pokemon trainer parents” I could give no shets about. Just because your parents are good trainers doesn’t mean for squat you’re a Pokémon master.

    Yadda yadda Buzzwole attacking people (or at the least being a mild pest) and the Ultra Guardians catch and release
    Ash didn’t catch Poipole or even see it and the whole Buzzwole vs Bewear was totally copped out
    I did like how Ash and Kiawe started flexing to communicate with it that gave me a chuckle

I kept on looking at the dialogue and all the UBs to see if it could give me any clues about what UB he’s talking about, but there isn’t a single one that really matches the one.

  331. So I made it to the third gym in crystal. Issue though I am starting to have second thoughts about my starter choice. I am for some reason wishing I had picked chikorita. Debating restarting it and if anything transferring my elekid up. At least I haven’t gotten too far lol

  340. Frankly, I’m glad Alola’s mons fit the region so well, even if it means little to no Ice types. It actually makes the region feel natural, which is important because the franchise is very much world based – pretty much as it is collection based. I expect this trend of New mons fitting the region to continue, especially if we get bigger worlds – whether it be the Xenoblade Chronicles esque open segments with transitions between or true open world (like its sequels)

  344. Got my team to Lv 50 and turned out there was no need, took Ultra Necrozma down in 2 hits, one Quick Claw Darkest Lariat and a Play Rough from Mimikyu. It was rather anti-climactic, about the same as beating Dusk for Men Necrozma before it.

    • You’re just about the only person I’ve seen that didn’t have some kind of trouble with Ultra Necrozma. I’ll agree that the dusk mane and Dawn wings forms were pretty lame battlewise, but I had a very exciting battle with Ultra Necrozma

      • Well I lost the first one at level 42 so I thought I had to train up. Turns out I could probably have used Quick Claw and revives and won at that level probably. I even had a back-up with Lycanrocs’ Sucker Punch that I ended up not needing. I guess if the AI had used Photon Geyser on Mimikyu Disguise wouldn’t have worked but it went with Smart Strike instead.

        • I think my Pokemon were all around 50ish when I faced it. Was still a little tough for me. Well at the very least I could call it exciting. Was certainly a pretty big jump in difficulty compared to the rest of the game.

          • I’d been staying under-leveled on purpose until this point and only really found Togedemaru slightly challenging since I was trying not to use Torracat against it and Skarmorys’ Stealth Rock was a pain.

    • My team took it out in two hits as well, first try, no Z-Moves even required. I mean Ultra Necrozma sure hit like a tank for the turn it was alive but I was genuinely surprised at how easy it went down after all I’d heard about how people struggled to defeat it.

      • What level were you? I was nearly 20 levels below and unprepared the first time. I haven’t used Z-moves at all through my proper battles, only in wild ones to see them like the new Lycanroc one. I think everyone else’s experience made me think the battle would be harder than it was so I overcompensated slightly.

    After fighting many badnits, spiders, and zombies… i came across this second puzzle (not the spinning obelisk one, i got that.) it’s a new one with a rotating disk system from inside to out. What 3 symbols do i have to use to disengage the lock, from outermost to innermost?
