More Gen III Pokémon Now Available in GO!

A total of 23 new Pokémon are able to be caught in Niantic’s game Pokémon GO (iOS, Android) starting today! Trainer’s are now able to add Aron, Lairon, Aggron, Trapinch, Vibrava, Flygon, Anorith, Armaldo, Lileep, Cradily, Baltoy, Claydol, Cacnea, Cacturne, Whismur, Loudred, Exploud, Numel, Camerupt, Nosepass, Solrock and Lunatone to their Pokédex—if they can find them!

See any of your favorites included in the list above? We don’t want to excite you too much, but reports of Shiny Arons, as well as Aggron appearing as a Level 4 Raid Boss have also been coming in! If you want a Shiny Aggron down the line it might be best to start hunting now.

  1. Can’t wait to find all of these newly added Pokemon. Gonna be annoying to get through all those other Hoenn Pokemon that the game is so very filled with…………*He said has he rolled his eyes*

    • I’ll take a crack at it:
      1) Third Fire/Fighting in a row. It was a joke at that point
      2) The theme of it isn’t clear. We’re told it’s fire/fighting, but it looks like it’s wearing an oven
      3) Lack of a neck. The head just looks shrunken into the body.
      4) I think it really would be better suited as a quadruped. This is a common complaint among the fire starters, but I think at the least it would’ve made it an easier pill to swallow being the third fire/fight in a row.

      That said, I don’t hate it. I like it more than Samurott. But seriously Serperior is so much better than the other two.

Because of this, Emboar may be based on Zhu Bajie, a pig demon from the Chinese tale Journey to the West. Infernape is also based on a character from the novel, Sun Wukong, and has a similar design. Emboar looks much like a British Saddleback or wild boar in a wrestling singlet.” I always thought it was a wrestler of some kind. Isn’t the neck obstructed by the flames instead of not existing?

  6. Oh I forgot to mention that I’m a little annoyed at this for one reason

    My location, which in my area we get next to 0 rock and ground types (I didn’t catch my first Omanyte, Geodude, Onix, or Sudwoodo till the rock event)

    At max my area gets 1 Ryhorn every so often, so I probably won’t even catch a Trapinch, Aron, or those till they do an event of sorts 🙁

Bah who cares… I have much bigger problems… I feel like I’m suffocating in my sleep, my head feels like it’s going to pop and no matter what I can’t get comfortable with any position…and my limp pillows aren’t giving me any support…. I feel totally miserable and I just want rest…without cutting off my air supply and choke to death or the very least my brain cells dying from lack of o2…so yeah I’m far from good

    • Have you got any way to prop your pillows and your head up a bit more? Perhaps you need to buy new ones, not that that helps you right now. Hope you feel better and are able to rest soon.

  11. So I’ve watched the first episode of Pop Team Epic……I’m not sure it’s meant for me. I may be too old for it….I’m not up on memes and I have no idea what’s going on.. I’ll give it another try, but idk man……

      • Like I saw one part on Twitter that made me laugh, but the entire show is too manic for me. If it was a 5-10 minute long thing then fine, but it’s over 10 minutes and then (at least for the first episode) they replay it with female voices as opposed to the obviously male voices. I just don’t know if I’m young or “hip” enough to get what’s going on……..It was a giant headache all the way through….

  17. Well picked my starter in blaze black! Ended up going with tepig since it’s the starter I have used the least out of the unova starters! Will become a fire/ground type later. That said I would love some help on deciding my team! I am already planning to catch a swanna for my water type since I have never used one before! And may use a hydrigon too not sure though. Any ideas?

    Purrple (Purrloin) died due to an incident involving an Azurill

    Stuart (Sewaddle) got schlonged by cheren’s toxic orb quick feet teddiursa that rolled cross poison from metronome

    Mothrrduccr (psyduck) died to protect the team from Roxie’a literal cheep as fucc golbat (it had hypnosis nasty plot, that’s all I gotta say l)

      • It’s not confirmed but it’s not really got anything running against it. Serperior for example doesn’t seem very prehistoric because the only similarity it has to extinct snakes is its size – and as a third stage snake, it’s going to be big regardless of basis.

        Chesnaught also isn’t totally obviously prehistoric because it’s just a clusterF of mammals
