It’s been announced that the latest Pokémon games for the Nintendo 3DS, Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, will be able to use the storage app Pokémon Bank at the end of November.
Currently you can import Pokémon from past games into your copy of Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon, but it requires having a copy of either Pokémon Sun or Moon from which you need to import them first. Depositing Pokémon will also become much more seamless, especially with new Ultra Beasts that are not compatible with the first Gen VII games. Pokémon Bank requires a yearly subscription of $4.99 to hold your Pokémon and may delete them if your subscription lapses. Please be careful when using.
For those who already have a copy of Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon, remember to download the event Rockruff via Mystery Gift! The little guy comes at level 10, holding a Focus Band, with the moves Tackle, Bite, Happy Hour, Thunder Fang/Fire Fang (Ultra Moon/Ultra Sun respectively), and is currently the only way to obtain Lycanroc Dusk Form in game. In addition, a special 3DS Theme featuring Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings Necrozma, accompanied by the main background theme for Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, is now available in the Theme Shop!
Happy USUM release! Excited to expand your Bank collection in the near future?

I love how each totem is either easy or near impossible depending on your team. You’ll always get countered at some point unless you run something stupidly specific
Yes, thank God it’s not like Sun and Moon where there’s like 2 impossibly hard Totems and the rest are relatively easy.
Oh who here said Illima was hard? Lola and Dusty mopped her team easy (Dusty hits well with Fire Fang at its disposal)
@spectralseraph:disqus Could you help me with sets for my planned team please?
Sure but not rn
OK
I have a question.
Do people ever use the X-Items in-game?
No, I sell them.
I did once when I was in a bind and was leveling a weak pokemon
I find them very useful for difficult battles.
I used them in HGSS because the bullshit level curve
Sometimes but not very often
I had to use some to kill certain totems in sun and moon
Yeah, that’s exactly what they’re for. They give you just the the you need for those tough battles.
Nopes
No I literally sell them all
(I find them pretty useless and when npc trainers use them, I normally take’em in one hit)

This is Lopunny club
Get your overgrown louse out.
This overgrown louse can eat those gerbils like they were nothing
Mega Lopunny
OU
Golisopod
RU? NU?
It needs a mega just to get somewhere
Golisopod still has way more brawn
Lol no Mega Lopunny is stronger
And Golisopod isn’t anywhere either lol
Oh damn that’s rad af
What would you say the most improved Pokemon is by way of Alolan forms? In other words, which Pokemon benefited the most from getting a new form. So Pokemon that were already good (in all way generally) would not be most improved. An example of this would be Ninetales. I LOVE Alolan Ninetales, but From what I’ev seen normal Ninetales is already a decent battler and on top of that has a goo design. I’d say most improved would be the Rattata line. Idk exactly how good it is competitively, but it’s design and typing is SO much better than it’s normal form.
Muk I think.
Alolan Muk and Marowack are probably the most improved.
The most useless Alolan is probably Dugtrio.
I think I can agree with Dugtrio…..I wish they had done something that was……less goofy? It’s typing it fine, but nothing crazy either…
I just feel it’s an actual downgrade from standard Dugtrio.
Slower and no Arena Trap.
I guess its quite strong on a Sand Team thanks to Sand Force, but it doesn’t have the defining qualities of standard Dugtrio.
Muks Dark typing gave it a massive advantage over most really powerful psychic types and Marrowack’s Ghost/Fire and Lightening Rod was a god send against a lot of major threats at the start of the SuMo Metagame.
Vulpix but Muk is certainly a lot better
Raticate. Other than that, I like A Raichu more, and it’s a better pokemon than regular raichu.
Muk
Playing through USUM, all I can say is that I really appreciate that all three Akala totems are all challenging if you’re not Earthen overlevelling and forfeiting by using Z-Moves
So you have to place restrictions on yourself the make the game more difficult?
If by that you mean choose to ignore hand holding features they’re not forcing to use, then yes
Meh, it’s not hand holding as it doesn’t prompt you the perfect time to use them, but it is a feature at your disposal that you can use well within the confines of the game.
No? It just means if you play the game normally it’s difficult
If z-moves were locked out for totem battles I may agree, but whatever it doesn’t matter. I disagreed with people that Totems were difficult in SuMo and although I probably won’t be playing USUM anytime soon, I can deduce that i would be playing like Earthen and breeze through them.
Well yeah they’re going to be “easy” if you’re using super effective moves with base power of like 180…
Of the moves you have at that point they would probably be base 100-120.
But my point isn’t about how strong they are my point is that it’s a feature that’s available at your disposal if you want to use it. Locking out z-moves for Totems would have been a better way to increase overall difficult, cos that would be a game rule, not a self imposed rule.
Screw you too
I will use them as Final Blow moves
I think your making too big a deal about the Z-moves. I mean no one complained about Mega’s in ORAS? (And they are even more broken)
Kurusu
It’s a joke
I’m making a joke
I actually don’t really care what other people do with the game they bought with their own money
Ok, I’m gonna be honest I couldn’t tell (I don’t use my brain sometimes)

Does anyone know how to get the three new ultra beasts? I want to shiny hunt them
2 are Version Exclusives.
I know
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3Qt6AXyqog
Danny Devito looking alot different these days.
I know, right?
Well Totem Togedemaru was boring, High Horsepower dead, give me a real challenge
its actually pretty hard for me
So far I beat pretty much everything easy
Gumshoos Double Kicked it to death
Araquanid I was actually afraid but I pulled through
Marowak just bite it and hit with whatever
Lurantis dead in one blow
And Spike rat dead after a good hoof to the face
It’s because you’re using easy mode horse and overlevelling it
……they were the same level
And it has a 4x ground weakness
That’s even worse, you’re neglecting your horse for your cat and lizard
I’m calling Plasma in rn
Why use that to your advantage though?
You should have fought it with a Flying or Water type
Whut

Daaaamn forgot that there was a totem araquanid
I was NOT prepared for that
Finished the first trial. I can’t remember if Gumshoos gave me any problems in Sun or if this time around I was just unprepared as far as having a Pokemon with a good move to fight Raticate? Seemed a little tougher. Still beat it, but my Rockruff fainted…..
Well guys I need you to help me figure something out
Will a Rowlet, Inkay and Rockruff (with Thunder Fang)
Beat a team of Litten, Buneary and Fire Fang Rockruff?
All roughly lvl.12-10. And be honest don’t just say “well I like Buneary more so it would win or Rowlet’s totally better than the trash cat so the first team” from a full on battle of brawn and little strategy who would win?
Depends on switching etc.
Rowlet beats Rockruff
Rockruff beats Litten
On the flip side
Litten beats Rowlet
Buneary might beat Rockruff if it has a fighting move.
It does not have a Fighting move
These are my brother and I teams (would be I or I’s?)
With strategy you could beat his team. It might rely on burning but could feasibly happen.
(Also ‘These are the teams of my brother and I’.)
Ok I couldn’t tell what type of grammar to use
What the hell is this meter thingy next to Rotom’s face?
How much it loves you.
Oh……Is there a meter of how much I dislike it? Because it’s constant interruptions and acting all sad down below if VERY distracting….
No but I really am only guessing. I know that at a certain point it will give you more options for Rotom O power things.
At what cost tho…..at what cost?
Rotomdex: https://media.giphy.com/media/7d7lKk2nH5RJu/giphy.gif
The MK movie. Nice haha
It’s really bad but also oddly good because of it.
Wait, people were having trouble with the first trial? As in Totem Raticate/Gumshoos? Took me 3 hits and less than half my health…but maybe it’s because I was using a level 20 Dartrix.
Haha you loser. already had a Dartrix at lvl 20 by that point? And I thought I was overleveled. I alomst feel dirty having my Rowlet evolved before taking Hala on.
Loser? Don’t blame me, I was trying to find a male Mime Jr. in the city and ended up boosting 2-3 levels in the process.
You were vastly over levelled, you might as well have had a level 100 Arceus.
My grubin didnt take a single hp of damage…and killed both the totem and its friend
I have five of my team members… I just gotta beat the ghost trial and I can get trapinch
Neat, me I’m just surfing in the inky black sea
Hmmm
So you’re telling me the Ultra Recon Squad developed the Beast balls in this game? I’m in my first battle with them and before this they said they developed a capture device or whatever based on Pokeballs. This is an interesting development.
Hm, Butterscotch Drampa or McDonalds eyebrows Drampa?
Mantine Surf is actually the best thing ever, I think I’d buy like a £5-£7.50 game featuring only Mantine Surf if it was expanded enough
Surfing at night is bootyful

So uh, how did you get those two non-native starters?
The same way I prolly got my Rockruff with both Fire and Thunder Fang………teehee
So you’re the hacker known as 4chan?
Uh….no……….trading over from SM?
Eggs
Lucius Malfoy?
Yep
That was the egg I gave you right? How’s it working for you?
Since it evolved it has been great!
Underrated new feature that I love: the Rotom Dex telling you when you encounter a Pokemon it doesn’t currently have logged. That pleasantly surprised me.
I don’t really see the point in it?
In the same way shiny Pokemon sparkle to indicate that they’re special, the Pokedex makes a sound to indicate a Pokemon that can help you complete the Pokedex. It’s good for people who play Pokemon absentmindedly like me (for postgame that is).
^^ 😀
I mean it’s only really good if you dont have a living dex and/or don’t understand that the pokeball next to the pokemon name indicates whether you’ve caught it.. :I
I CANT CONTAIN MYSELF ANY LONGER
I LOVE MY GOLISOPOD!!!!!
He’s been on a slaughtering spree, just annihilating whatever in his path
Are they your Favorite Non-Ground Type?
https://media.giphy.com/media/NGtTbQEppBdv2/giphy.gif
Finally, I beat Totem Lurantis
How’d you do it?
I stalled enough for it to run out of moves and Struggle itself to death
I actually don’t think Ash has used that strategy to win a battle yet in the Anime. +1 Dae Point for ingenuity.
Pearl the Pikipek has finally become Pearl the Trumpbeak. It is one form away from its true form. Now I am on my way to the 1st trial.

It’s so weird playing at night and having it be day in the game. I Played Sun so I ever got to experience the 12 hour shift. It’s an odd thing given that every other game that has the day/night system just locks it to your actual time. It’s fun in a way too
