Following on the heels of today’s earlier trailer released on television in Japan, more information has been revealed in a new English trailer.
Details
- Player will be able to traverse an Ultra Wormhole on the back of Solgaleo or Lunala in a mini-game of sorts
- You’ll be able to battle Ultra Beasts at their home dimension/space by traveling through the Ultra Space
- Ultra Megalopolis (pictured right), can be reached by traveling through the Ultra Space and has had all of its light stolen by Necrozma
- New characters are part of the Ultra Recon Squad and have had their names revealed as Dulse, Zossie, Phyco and Soliera – the latter two will have major roles in Ultra Moon, while the former two are more prominent in Ultra Sun
- Player is seen battling members of the Squad
- A new Ultra Beast, UB: Adhesive (Poison Pin Pokémon), has been discovered. It’s a Poison-type with the ability Beast Boost
- UB: Burst (Fireworks Pokémon) is Fire/Ghost-type and knows a new move “Mind Blown” which causes it to lose half its maximum HP
- UB: Assembly (Rampart Pokémon) is Rock/Steel-type
If Solgaleo and Lunala are Legendarys and UBs Maybe they are the Legendarys of Ultra Space? Maybe it’s The fact that they evolve that makes them so powerful and diffrent from other UBs

Ok I’ve finally watched the two trailers and yeah….I’m pretty hyped right now!!!! Still sad they don’t seem to have added new Aloan forms, but honestly with everything they’ve now finally shown I think I can get over it. I can’t wait to explore Ultra Space and am super excited to see what the Ultra Recon Squad have to do in the story. I wonder why they chose to make them version exclusive. Are they all in both games, but two of them are featured more in one while the other two are featured more in the other? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Anyway the UBs home worlds look so freak amazing!! I can’t believe how big they look!! Also UB Adhesive is my favorite UB EVER. Maybe even one of my most favorite Pokemon PERIOD. I really am super psyched now to see what USUM have to offer. I think I’ve gotten over my weird sourness I had before hahaha

I can’t find the picture anymore for the life of me, even though I saw it this morning, but apparently there is a physical button you can press on the Poke Ball New 2DS XL. That’s pretty darn cool.
Sweet! I preordered one a few weeks back. I thought it looked like the button could be pressed, but I wasn’t sure from the pictures.

I think the wormholes only go to areas of Ultra Space.
You never know what they’ll sneak in post-game. They might do something like the Mirage Islands in ORAS.

Yes but there is a balance. Saying a game is going to be the best in the series without playing it is like saying a move is going to be the best without seeing it.

Eh, nobody was really saying that these will be “the best games ever”, they’re just saying that this game will be awesome, which… is likely the truth. Third versions are always the original games but better (the only exception was BW2 but it was a sequel) so this will likely be the same thing.
And SM was already awesome but with some problems that might get fixed in USUM, but I stand on you about being overly positive about a game though, they can still disappoint in one way or another.

I like Alola, but not UBs (except Adhesive). For that reason, I’m not sure if it’ll surpass SunMoon for me, but they still look hella fun. And just in case I hate them (unlikely) they have good resale value.

I’ve decided that my initial playthrough will be in Ultra Moon with Rowlet as my starter, since I haven’t used it before. Fun times are ahead, friends.
Same, I am not sure which version. I prefer the Pokémon exclusive to US, but I like the Recon Squad members of UM more than the US ones.

Well they appear at the AF base but I don’t think they are working together.
They use UB Balls so they are somehow related to AF

I love UB Burst. It’s just so silly and I love it. I told you all it was fire type! Definitely my favorite UB. UB Adhesive looks cool too. Kinda looks like a mythical, but it actually looks like a pokemon too. Not a weird alien like the other UBs.
