To tide us over until Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon are released, Pokkén Tournament DX is now playable on the Nintendo Switch, and Pokémon Gold & Silver have been re-released on the 3DS/2DS’ Virtual Console! Both are available for purchase digitally on the Nintendo eShop, and physically in stores across the globe (Gold & Silver physical versions only available in Europe and Japan).
Those who purchase Pokémon Gold & Silver anytime between now and September 21st, 2018 will receive a serial code to obtain the Mythical Pokémon Celebi in your Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon games. In addition, by downloading the games before January 15th in North America (December 31st, 2017 in Europe or September 28th, 2018 in Japan) you’ll also receive a free 3DS theme featuring Lugia or Ho-Oh depending on which version you purchased. If you purchase the download code from either Best Buy, Amazon or GameStop you’ll also receive this gorgeous theme featuring the important characters of Gold & Silver!

Houndour isnt even catchable in Johto but only near Fuschia City at night lol
Neither is Murkrow, Slugma and technically Larvitar and Sneasel (if Mt.Silver counts as Kanto or not)

So seeing how we got a new trailer this past Friday I imagine we won’t be getting anything this week. I was sure they’d show something this week rather than this past on since Ohmori and Iwao are gonna be at the Milan Games week event later this week. (at least I think they are). About whether or not I’m going to play Gold and Silver… I think I’ll pass for the VC. I’m going to wrap up HG after I finish Black 2 completely, which I started 2 years ago and I intend to finish this long journey I’ve had with HG by the end of 2017. Additionally, I still have an old Gold copy that I can still use with the old GameBoy color I had (thought I’ll need to replace Gold’s battery since it ran dry).
So I managed to beat two Poketubers, one of which being Shofu who’s played since the first game came out. I’m feeling pretty good about things :3

I’ve been wondering, folks…do you think it’s possible we could get Sinnoh remakes next year on the 3DS and then Gen 8 on Switch in 2019? It just doesn’t feel right for them to throw all these Sinnoh hints into Sun and Moon and then leave that unresolved until 2019/2020.
I’d say it’s a possibility as they need as much time as possible to work on switch games but most likely I’d say no.

Nope. Gen 8 2019. D/P remakes 2020 or beyond. Next year we get a spin-off if we are lucky or we get absolutely nothing and they tell us to shove it up our collective a’s.
I’d be totally cool with that if next year we got Mystery Dungeon Switch with all the Alola Pokemon up to USUM.

Not really. There’s usually a year break before a new gen. USUM is basically Filler anyway. I just think they wanted to make Sinnoh remakes in 2017, but after seeing the final version of the Switch they decided that Sinnoh deserves that quality.
