A poster for the upcoming games Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon has revealed some small details or hints about the titles. It is currently being used as advertising in Japan.
In it you can see that Lillie carries a Pokéball—she had aspired to be a trainer in the original Pokémon Sun & Moon games, but never truly had a Pokémon of her own. This suggests that she will have a somewhat different role this time around and may be a trainer herself now.
There are also several mysterious figures in the back which may be new looks for familiar characters or new ones entirely.

Honestly if they showed this poster when they announced the game and explained what it was I would probably be excited. Lillie being a trainer is exciting but since it’s basically not canon I don’t know if I could really get hyped for it.
Once again a sequel could’ve done this with so much more meaning and purpose

Looks like the story might be a tad darker than the original which in my opinion would be a welcome change. As for those mystery figures maybe they’re faller like Anabel but they are somehow stationed and surviving in Ultra Space? I was also thinking about how awesome it would be to find out that the Distortion world is a part of Ultra Space (so far we’ve never seen a ultra portal likevthe one over Poni Island) and these games are a prelude to Sinnoh remakes all culminating in the return of Cyrus?

Like we haven’t even seen anyone that claims to be descendents of the royal family. See THIS is what they needed to be putting out as far as advertising is concerned. They can be as cryptic as they want, but until now they haven’t put out anything worthy to get people excited. THIS on the other hand is pretty cool. This poster alone mad me way more excited for these games than pretty much everything they’ve shown up til now. It’s just so epic looking!! Lillie with a Pokemon and already in her Z powered form, Hau looking serious, AND those new mystery characters in the back!!!!! I’m still not entirely sure how the games will turn out, but this is making me feel better! XD

I’d be willing to bet he’s still happy go lucky at the beginning of the game, but then gets more serious towards the end. they’re not gonna totally override his usual personality just to make him more serious in these secondary games.
They should because these are ”what if” games. So what if Hau is a total badass or maybe even an anti-hero this time?
Then they might as well change EVERYONE’S personality. It’s a slippery slope my friend. Even if it’s a what if scenario where things don’t go exactly as they did in SM doesn’t mean the characters would change so wildly that they wouldn’t still be themselves. At that point you might as well ave a brand new character.

The police are basically a joke in the pokemon world. They never do anything. I would say Looker does, but think about it, we do all the work for him.
They did a bit more in gen 1, I think they are more there to clean up after you’ve done all the work now.

That didn’t bother me. In fact, I loved that Guzma used bug types. But what did bother me is that Team Skull really did not fit cohesively into the story, because they didn’t do a good job of explaining or showing their relationship with the Aether Foundation, who they also didn’t build well.
Also i would really like to know how they took over an entire town. They’re grunts seem a bit to inept to do something on so grand a scale.

Uh, this makes me think that the story is going to be a lot more serious and some details of it makes me really interested about the games, like Hau showing that expression, not even in the more serious moments in SM Hau showed that expression.
There’s also Lillie being a trainer something I really wanted ( so yay) and what looks like a evil team which I have to say: If they’re the evil team then they’re one of the most intimidating one in the whole franchise since Neo Team Plasma just by their looks.
But are these games going to be as heroic and miltonian as this post shows or is this post just exaggerating the events of the games to look darker than they are? But anyways, this makes me remember the time I got to N’s castle in BW as the grandest moment in Main series games for reasons that I’m too lazy to explain and since then I’ve always wanted a moment as grand as this one to happen in a main series game, so maybe, just by the looks of this poster, we might get another moment like that. I hope so.
